There was a rumor posted on hoops hype today that the blazers had reached out to the clipps about trading lamarcus Aldridge. Wonder what they would be looking for since they already have lillard and probably don't want Bledsoe. A deal around dj and picks would be awesome.

I think aldridge and Blake would be a great combo together. Very good inside outside game going on.

I'd do it in a heartbeat but with the others they have been receiving I REALLY doubt it. For example Cavs offered them Waiters (very nice young player), 1st pick and 19th pick in this draft and they said no. So DJ+Bledsoe+pick doesn't seem like enough because they are rebuilding and want picks but who knows.

Wow! damn too bad we don't have an enticing package for them, and like others have said with them having Lillard our best piece (Bledsoe) doesn't attract them

Aldridge is good, and they'd be awesome together on offense...but the defense would be AWFUL with LaMarcus and Blake as our bigs. I wouldn't trade DJ for him, even though he's better than DJ. It's a bad fit.

Aldridge is an excellent rebounder. I think his offense works well with Blake's. It would be more like a two PF set, kinda like Utah. I agree defensively it would be tough. I'm not too worried about blocked shots because those don't necessarily translate to "great defense"...not if you block 2 or 3 shots a game, yet can't stand your ground against guys like Z Bo or Cousins. Having said that, I can see Aldridge guarding Marc Gasol while Blake guards Z Bo. I don't dislike this scenario.

I like Aldridge's game but I don't think he is an excellent rebounder, he's not a bad rebounder but not a good rebounder. I do think he could eventually fit the KG mold. Offensively he'd be great, but agree that the defense would be suspect down low. I'm a DJ supporter, but am still intrigued by the idea depending on what they are asking for. I don't think either of us could really satisfy the other with package deals.

DJ per 36 averages 10+ rebounds where LA averages 8+, but offensively it would be tough to stop both. We wouldn't have a true center, it is intriguing but I would pass unless the deal is a clear win. I don't think Olshey will make this a good deal for us.

Trading for Aldridge could mean that clippers will trade Blake for Dwight. With doc talking about focusing on defense and being that he has control over personnel moves now, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a move to get Howard.

You people insane? DJ next to Aldridge is like Rasho Nesterovic next to Shaq. Give them DJ, give them picks, give them whatever they want!

I'd do DJ/Butler + 25th pick for Aldridge + 10th pick

Then sign Pierce, Barnes, Oden, Hollins and draft Anthony Bennett.

PG: CP3/Wayns SG: Bledsoe/Crawford/Green SF: Pierce/Barnes PF: Griffin/Bennett C: LMA/Oden/Hollins

This is Championship roster if everything goes right with injurys. Huge "IF"

Aldridge wishlist bulls, clips & mavs. portland said no to mavs. our odds are better.

ill give DJ & a protected 2016 1st rd. pick.

neil & gary are buddies. things can work out to get a deal.

We can't give them our 2016 pick because we gave Boston our 2015 pick. You can trade draft picks in consecutive years. It would have to be our pick this year or 2017 pick

Lol at offering them DJ+protected 16 pick. Aldridge may be overrated but he's a legit all star/cornerstone player. We would need to give up WAY more than that.

theree's no way we get LA for dj and a pick. he's worth a lot more than that. i know he's a good compliment to blake cause of the jump shooting, but idk if he has the defensive ability or strength to play at the center position.

WTF?!?!? I can't tell if you are joking.

Who in their right mind would give up 24 year old stud for a 27 year old softy.

We have leverage. LMA is demanding a trade, you don't give them an arm and a leg for someon you can get with an ear lobe.

LA has a better post game but in 7-8 seasons in the NBA he has never averaged a double double. Blake has done that twice. Blake is the better rebounder for sure

First of all Portland CLEARLY want a center in return and I doubt they will even call for Blake as they are pretty well aware he won't be traded for LMA without something else coming our way and from I see they want to accumulate picks. I would think they will offer LMA for DJ and some sort of picks combination. Can anyone tell me which pics we can now trade? Can we offer them next year pick or is it out of the question since we traded the 2015 pick to Boston? If we can somehow package two picks with DJ and get LMA with a second round pick in the distant future, it would be amazing!

Aldrige is a flat out baller and it would be nice to have him on the Clips. Offensively, he would complement Blake and CP3 nicely. Defensively though, that's the big question mark. However, seeing a team like the Heat succeed with no true center makes anything possible. Miami plays great team defense though so if Doc can implement a good team defense scheme, things might work out nicely.

DJ + Caron + a future 2nd round pick for Aldrige. Maybe we can offer a future 1st rd pick and they can throw in Matthews.

Blake isn't a softy. Blake bangs down low with the best of them. Blake doesn't fight people and if that's how we are going to judge a players toughness than I guess Blake is soft.

LMA is genuinely soft about wanting to go in the post. Him and Pau have great post moves but that means nothing if they feel the paint is hot lava.

I would be able to pull down 9 boards a game too if my Center was JJ Hickson. Lol

If Blake is soft, then so is LeBron, Dwight, Noah, Chandler, Hibbert....etc because none of them get into fights.

Blake would be pretty bad in MMA, good thing he plays in the NBA.

Serious question... how long have you been watching the NBA? Aldridge is more of a Phoenix Suns circa mid 2000's player than Blake is. Aldridge is a jump shooting big, Griffin is a back to the basket big. Go watch footage the rest of the day, study more.. then come back. Blake>Aldridge period.

LMA has one HUGE advantage over both Blake and DJ - he regularly hits FTs and is 80% FT shooter. He improved his FT% from around 70% in the start of his career to the current 80% mark. He is very tough and rarely misses a lot of games - in fact he's missed like 30 games his entire career. If you get a chance at such a player, you don't wonder around and just get him. Not to mention him actually wanting out of there!

Blake climbed to near 70 percent free throws by the end of last season and shot like 83 percent in the playoffs. Aldridge is a jump shooting big who has had 8 seasons to get it right.. Blake is an athletic based PF who's played 3 years and clearly is improving his free throws rapidly. It's a bogus comparison.

What was Shaq's arsenal? Didn't stop him from being the most dominant post force in NBA history. Blake's got huge athletic and physical advantages over opponents.. he doesn't need a lot of moves. The man leads the NBA in points in the paint when you combine his 3 seasons. 2nd to Howard rookie year, 1st in his second season, 2nd this last year to Lebron.

Bottom line in sports is that you get it done, doesn't matter how. For example Zbo has pretty post game but on a per minute basis Blake scores 6 ppg more a HUGE difference. Who gives a crap how pretty it looks? Get it done.

Good thing about these topics is you can IMMEDIATELY tell the diehard fans from the new or bandwagon fans. Seriously I don't care if you are a new fan or bandwagon fan but what you DO owe the team is to at least do your research before arguing with people that have watched these players entire careers.

That flew right over your head. I'm not comparing Blake to Shaq. I'm telling you post moves are very nice and useful but if one guy has a gazillion post moves but scores less, and one guy has just 2-3 moves but scores more.. the player who PRODUCES more is superior, period.

My example I used was Zbo vs Blake. Zbo has a great post game and scores 15-16 ppg where as Blake is a 21 ppg per 36 player with a far less advanced post game. Different style, doesn't mean it's not superior.

All-star stuff aside (fan voting), the overall data indicates he's the better player. It's as simple as that. Oh and his younger on top of it.

Bottom line is Blake in year 3 is SUPERIOR to Aldridge in year 8 and that alone... makes the comment you made about giving the Blazers Blake.. offensive in itself. You talk about Blake with zero attachment and after reading your post history forgive me for finding your motive suspect. If you are a bandwagon fan I don't even care, it's more about your motive to me.

Those are all of your quotes. If you would have said something like "I personally feel Aldridge may be worth it due to fit" etc I wouldn't say much but the way you go about it feels more like a non Clippers fan piling on Blake.
