this is probably if we can't re sign barnes, we'd need a backup SF. i know he's a 2 guard, but he can play small forward. he was out durant stopper lmaoo

I agree. I would rather get a starting SG that is better on both ends of the floor which would relegate Young to the bench; this would cause his style to clash with Crawfords.

I like it and and I don't at the same time. We have J Crossover to take the scoring punch off the bench and feel we need a SG who can play D (Tony Allen) or a two way player (Afflalo) to start. I also like Bledsoe at the 2, but we lose a lot of size in the backcourt. Same reason why I'm not a big fan of OJ Mayo coming here. Plus, I feel OJ needs to be "the man" on a bad team because I don't think he's ready to accept a role on a team (his time with Memphis).

I would like Reggie Evans and Nick Young so that we can combine them with Crawford and Barnes. It would be nice. It would be the best of the past 2 seasons.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Swaggy P and J Cross were on the court at the same time. I feel like they'd just roast teams. Not sure how consistently productive it would be.......but I am damn curious.

Realistically, if they're looking at bringing back Swaggy P.......and that's not just BS.......then maybe Jamal's not coming back...

I Love Nick Young, but I don't see him fitting in with this squad at all. He has the ability to become a legitimate 3rd scoring option as far as offense is concerned, but I question his defensive intensity, consistency and maturity. The last thing this team needs is another goofball in the locker room who's more concerned with the shoes that he wears on the court than his ability to help his team win. I'd much rather see him on the Lakers. I think he would benefit from playing with Kobe.

Did we already forget Young actually DID play defense? He was our best perimeter defender the short time he was with us. He also did a GREAT job defending Durant. The other thing we must remember is how BIG he played in the two biggest playoff games in the first round in 2012. Having said that, he does run hot and cold...so I'm not real sure about having him back.

I like Nick, but either Matt Barnes would have to leave us, or Jamal would have to be traded for this to work.

We could do much worse. It will really depend on his price. Really would love to see us go after someone like Tony Allen to give us the defense we need. And Reggie Evans needs to be a clipper again.

I think that having Nick Young, Jamal Crawford, and Matt Barnes is an option. Have Barnes be our starting SF and have Nick Young come off the bench for him. I think the combination of Nick Young and Jamal Crawford coming off the bench will be really flashy and entertaining. Not sure how consistent they'd be though but it definitely would be interesting to see them working together. We still have the starting SG issue but I think that's something we can figure out with a Bledsoe/Butler trade.

Nick Young can flat out shoot. And he doesn't get enough credit for his defense.

Your right, he can flat out shoot, which is the easy part. The problem is except for his 3pt and Ft shooting, he's below average for sg's in overall FG%, 2ptFG%, rebounding, assist, WS and PER...and in spite of what ever credit you want to give him for his defense, he's still below average in that department too.

Basically a streaky one trick pony. We already have that covered on this team.

I'm way more interested in how we'd get OJ Mayo than ever bringing back Nick Young. Young can score but he can't pass, can't board. Literally he's a black hole.

Yeah, I like Young a lot, especially for what he did for us the the 2012 playoffs, yet Mayo would be downright ideal for us.

I voted incorrectly, this guy was great when we had him hear. Reggie and him were great, but I would only sign him for the minimum. I think splitting the mle between barnes and a quality back up big are more important. We can either trade Bledsoe (depends for who afflalo and evans are passable) or start Bledsoe and i'll be happy at the two.

It is imperative that we re-sign barnes. He brings more to the team than just his play. Put him and Reggie on this team and no one will cheapshot us and get away with it ever again.

People need to get over Reggie, he's an awful fit next to Blake, and while energetic and hacks a lot, he's not a high impact defensive player, though decent impact because he deans the glass. Just move on from him, I don't want to see Blake/Reggie space killing, no shot blocking lineups again.

No on Reggie

Hell yes on Nick young if he is willing to take a split of the MLE and we can get Barnes

Nick Young is the man, I would love to see him Barnes and Crawfish just wrecking teams, I miss his swag and his ridiculous shirts.

I like the idea of having NY and JC each taking a corner at the end of games. Nick Young is also a spot up shooter and would fit well with us.

That is why he should come in and play when Blake is not on the court the majority of the time. Everyone seems to be all about offense with our free agent signings. We need someone to be an enforcer underneath and get some boards. That is why we lost in the playoffs, we got pushed around. Signing nick young or mayo isn't going to get us where we need to be. Evans averaged 1 rebound every 2 minutes on the floor. He can play 10 minutes and get more rebounds than DJ and shoot better from the FT line.

I do mind. He wore out his welcome after he demanded a bigger contract for doing absolutely nothing but taking ill-advised shots and playing no defense. Let the Fakers or some other bum organization have our sloppy 2nd's.
