Troy Aikman still wants to kill skip bayless. Should show the kind of person Skip is.

Yeah Skip still blames Blake for not carrying the Sooners further in the NCAA Tournament. But Blake only played 2 years there. Would he blame any other sophomore? What makes that criticism more perplexing is Blake played pretty well in his last tournament averaging 25.8 points and 16.5 rebounds.

Skip Bayless is nothing more than a paid troll.

Man would I love to be paid to make controversial statements that don't make much sense.

I don't see how he can be so critical of Blake, specifically his problem with him not delivering during the NCAA tournament. Blake lost to the #1 seeded, eventual champion UNC while averaging great numbers. Skip's man crush KD, on the other hand, loses in a blowout to my Trojans. I don't see him catching the same criticisms. I also don't see KD having to get in fights to prove himself. Why? He doesn't have to because he's protected by the league with Dwyane Wade like treatment. You can't breathe on him without a foul, much less get cheapshots in like Griffin gets every other game.

Skip Bayless needs to get smacked. He acts like a spoiled best with his sighing and eye rolling?

^So true. I used to find him somewhat entertaining but his gimmick got old real fast. I'm a big fan of his brother Rick, who is kind of weird but nothing like Skip. I don't see how they are related. It's like night and day.

For the record Chauncey never called Blake Soft.

And I hate gossip and rumors that just aren't true.

He was baited by Stephen A Smith and if you watch

the whole interview took up for blake and said

and I quote "BLAKE IS NOT SOFT".

I have the youtube clip so I challenge you or anyone

else to say otherwise.

Compared to his competition for best PF, Blake is like "The Thing" from fantastic four.

I want to see Blake on First Take ripping Skip a new one Richard Sherman style.

I think Blake has won the individual battle with the "BEst PFs in the Game" except that Love game where he almost dropped 50. Blake is no longer getting pushed around , and now he is doing the pushing. It showed with Lemarcus Aldridge. All his point came from jump-shots ( that is soft IMO ) Love is better than Aldridge IMO. Love scores in the paint, Griffin score in the paint. I just think the battle is between Griffin and Love and that is it. I think Blake has won that one.

I just want to see a Love to Griffin Full Court Outlet Pass Oop during the All-Star Game

I would say that Love still has to prove something... That he Can win. Something that Blake and LA have already shown in carrying much of their team's respective loads. You can't call LA soft just cause he shoots jumpers, he is really good on defense as well. I agree that Griffin gave it to him yesterday though.

No we call LA soft because he is Soft. I'd call him a NON-Power Forward.

He plays with no power whatsoever. He has the best mid-range jumpshot for

a big man hands down.

But if you watch his games he doesn't like to get touched,

take hard fouls, or contest big men going hard to the basket.

All you have to do to take LA out of his game is Play physical with him.

Which showed in the Clippers game, in the second half. Crowding

him doesn't work. But constantly pushing him, little elbows, and

hard fouls does and I think teams are catching on to it.

Love is a different story. As much as I hate to admit it

he is a beast. But still don't think he is on Blakes level.

He has padded stats due to being the #1 #2 and #3 option

on his team, and a Center who averages 8 RPG.

I'm more old school when it comes to basketball. Blake beats

guys up in the post and is truly physical now.

By the end of the 3rd quarter most guys don't

even want to guard him anymore so they throw

traps at him immediately.

Saying blake is the #1 PF in the league is almost

a disgrace now.

We should be talking about him moving close to the

best Player in the League.

As far as I'm concerned anyone who can put up

35ppg game after game is a beast.

Lebron - Durant - Griffin.

As above I agree:

There's a difference between the player and the man. You can drop 40ppg and still be soft. DelaHoya was called soft and he beat anyone who challenged him. They aren't mutually exclusive. This is a contact sport. Back in the day it was near as much as football. These guys are high on the testosterone scale. He's being bullied. The only way to stop a bully is to give what you get and they usually leave you alone. There is a difference between a fight and well placed elbow as a negotiating tool. In that macho world you respect a guy only if he gives you what he gets from you. It's called a conversation, aka non verbal communication. He fouls you hard, you elbow him. He respects you. He'll still foul you hard but he won't cheap shot. It's business, nothing personal. Now it's personal

I think he has the image of a pretty boy who won't get his hands dirty. He's now becoming a guy who will play in the trenches and get dirty just like the rest (a metaphor, not dirty playing)

Imagine yourself in a boxing match and you are a brawler. Which opponent will you later have a beer with?

A slick technical fighter who out jabs you slips your punches and beats you on points. You can't hit him but his punches don't hurt they just score points

OR

A guy with whom you had a war. You beat each other to a bloody pulp you are both so exhausted that you both can barely hold up your hands and he drops you with a body punch?

Love is probably better than LMA but his stats are just so unimpactful. His supporting cast is not THAT bad yet he still can't get them into the playoff conversation. His stats are also misleading, considering he's been known to do things like shoving his teammates out of the way to get rebounds. And I really don't like his game, especially his Harden-esque "defense" and his insistence on chucking threes. But at least he'll score in the paint and isn't deathly afraid of contact, so that puts him above LMA. Both those guys are really good, but Blake's on a whole other level.

So Anthony Davis just told First Take that Kevin Love is better than Blake basically because Love is the toughest player he's had to cover. A couple of things...

a) Davis has played Love 2 times already this year (they played MIN 3 times but Davis didn't play one of them). He's only faced Blake once so far.

b) Love is a "tough cover" because he takes a lot of outside jumpers and runs off screens occasionally, forcing Davis to defend where he's not comfortable. Davis still managed to keep Love under 50% shooting and split the series so far. Blake is an "easier" cover because he's primarily an inside scorer, which allows Davis to defend where he's most comfortable. Just because Davis doesn't have to work so hard out of his comfort zone to defend Blake doesn't mean Blake is inferior. Because when the game is over Blake still got 21/10, shooting 50% from the field and the Clippers won.

We'll see if Davis feels the same way after the All Star break.
