http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/redick ... erfect-fit

He also knew Los Angeles would be a great fit and not just because he loved seeing the waves crashing on Pacific Coast Highway. He called fellow Dukie and former Clipper Grant Hill to discuss housing in the area, among other things.

"He gave me the run down on the organization and everything," Redick said. "He enjoyed his time here immensely and he promised me that I'll love it."

And from the sound of it, Redick will love living in California as well.

Wow... Grant Hill is such a true class act and a gift that keeps on giving. Sad he retired a year early Sad

I agree, it's good for everyone involved. Great P.R. move from us and Grant gets to learn the ropes as a non player.

I hope he'll get into shape so we can use him on ten day contracts at PO time. I'm sure he has a few games left

I doubt he'll take that, I mean this guy can sign anywhere and they'll accept him. I would rather listen to Grant than Bill Simmons

Wow, Grant Hill is the man! He needs to be added to our staff somehow. Some kind of position. Consultant/Recruiter or assistant.

Hill is a solid player. Wonder if we tried to trade for him a couple years prior to his arrival if he would have came. I'm pleased he gave Redick some confidence to play here, his only other big stage was at Duke and that was quite some time ago. Wonder if Redick was worried about the spotlight and maybe Hill gave him some reassurance?

I cringe at this, but I will be pumped at times when I see CP3, Crawford, Redick and Dudley out there bombing 3PTers and flying up and down the floor. I really think Redick should see increases in his shooting percentages across the board, outside of Free Throws which can go either way year in and year out. I really didn't like Redick for years, but the past few seasons he's caught my eye and really turned it on.

We need to give Grant Hill a job in the FO or part of the couching staff. Got nothing but respect for the man

Yup he's our secret GM, which is why he is so effective. Players think he's just helping them out, but in reality its his job to recruit players lol Shocked wink

Well, at least he'd have a valid excuse for why he'd be wearing a suit on the sidelines of Clipper games from here on out...

Since we need a "big" maybe Grant can make a call to Christian Leattner.

why all the hate for mike smith. he is a very knowledgeable commentator who has a awesome and comical banter with ralph. he is silly at times, but he is far from a biased commentator. we should keep hill in the FO or on doc's staff. hell, sign him to a 10 day if someone goes down, granted if he is in shape of course

I like him too, though I think he is very biased. But that's the case with other team commentators (Denver, Portland, Cleveland...) that's part of the fun.

I also like that Smith doesn't talk **** about the opposing team's player like some other commentators do. He'll always touch on the positives on their game even if their just an energy/bench player. I prefer to listen to someone who is up-beat and as excited about the clippers as I am.
