Now let's reflect on the past few months, the Lakers no matter how you want to view it begged Dwight Howard to stay in all ways possible. Laker fans acknowledge this whether they hated it or not most were adamant that Dwight was staying, then out of nowhere boom he leaves! now those same fans are saying he's a punk and how they never wanted him, AND even to a degree say he will never get a championship because he left to the rockets and how they will never be a rebuilding team because they have 16 championships and will get lebron (look up the majority of big threads on the lakertopbuzz). Now unless he's on this team later in life I don't want him winning either, but I find it ridiculous how Laker fans are at times, I mean I never brag about my team I mean come on most of us older fans know how it is to be the crap stain of the nba, but I mention anything about NBA and my opinions are invalid because my team does not have (once again) 16 championships (most of the bars etc I go to in LA people use this all the time) and I find it degrading (just my opinion) and disrespectful (to kobe) that the Lakers would go after Lebron in 2014 anyway, I never could see the bulls reaching out to get kobe once MJ was reaching the climax of his years. I just can't picture Kobe willingly letting Lebron run things with him still on the team which in all honesty he'd have to do, anyway that's it just venting out some things I think are a bunch of nonsense (in my opinion). Last I checked we never begged CP3 Or Brand either *whistles*

Lakers get a story about how they will probably go after Lebron and/or Melo in 2014 if they waive their final year of their contract. How many other NBA teams ALSO will go after Lebron and Melo? Every single NBA team even if they have only the vet's min will go after Lebron, that's a no brainer. Plenty of teams will be calling on Melo as well, pending he doesn't die of a heart attack from eating too many cheeseburgers.

I hope they get nothing, and Kobe eats up half their cap space. This guy more than likely won't take a paycut, and although he may be friends with some of these big stars, who the hell would want to play with that guy? He ran the top 2 Centers of the past 20 years out of Los Angeles, 1 of which is easily a top 20 player of all time.

I'd LOL if Kobe got screwed by Buss and they wanted him to take a massive paycut, and by massive I mean being paid like 15 mill a year or less. Because to Kobe, that's massive.

Jerry Buss would be dead right now if he saw what was happening to his team if he didn't already pass away ( RIP to a legend ). Kobe is dragging that team down and all Jerry's kids are doing is helping.

I'd trade just about everybody for as many draft picks as I could get and start over. Teams like the Yankees and Lakers don't stay mediocre of bad for long, too much history and the thrill of big city life.

Lebron would be the stupidest human being alive if he left Miami to play with Kobe. It would be him, Kobe, Sacre, a mid-first round pick and maybe one other $10m player (depending on what Kobe signs for) and a bunch of vet minimum contracts. Leaving a repeat championship team for that? No.

Those idiots actually have a thread talking about how they can get Paul George next summer! It's seriously just sad because I'm pretty sure it's less delusion and more sheer stupidity. The guy will sign the max extension within the summer. OBVIOUSLY!!! Everybody who knows anything about the league knows no one has ever refused a max extension. And somehow these morons spend their time discussing their future roster with him, talking about back loading contracts by paying him 2mil the first year and 30mil the second year. And this is all a serous conversation. Sad what has become of a once-proud franchise. They are an embarrassment.

Just because the Lakers have a dynasty/legacy in this sport doesn't mean that it will always be that way. Maybe they will resurrect themselves to their former glory and maybe they won't. They are looking pretty bad at the moment and apart from their history they have very little going for them. People could argue that they are in a really big market because LA is such an attractive city for a player, but if the city is the only draw then the big players will just come to the Clips.

Is this the end of a dynasty? Who knows! Interesting times for BBall in LA!!

Lakers fans, and folks in the media are starting to act like Steven A Smith did years ago when he said every single player in the NBA wanted to play for the Knicks, and the Knicks were going to end up getting everybody they wanted simply because it was the Knicks, and the city of New York.

Knicks stink and the Lakers are headed there. Get rid of Kobe and I can see people wanting to go play there.

I hate that stupid reporter from LakersNation.com. Think her name is Serena Winter. She interviewed Klay Thompson and asked if he wants to play for the Lakers. Laker fans and their self-entitlement.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/why-los-an ... 00622.html

I'm posting this in parts because something ate the whole last post.

In the summer of 1970 a friend found some of the stuff that South American shaman use to see weird sh*t. Don't think of it as getting high, think of it as a cross-cultural exploration.

Anyway several of us spent the better part of an hour talking to a bush. The problem was that nobody was fluent in bush speak so communication was a bit difficult but we managed.

I don't know Laker Speak but the bush made a lot more sense was more intelligent and had a nicer personality.

  1. CP3 was an UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTHe could have signed with LAL if he chose 2, Melo has pretty much said he won't be a LAL
  2. D12 never wanted to be a Laker. It was his punishment for being a twit
  3. Kobe told D12 that he was Kobe's bitch

5 Kobe's $30 mill is 1/3 of the payroll but he won't take a pay cut precluding signing on good FA's. Kobe doesn't give a rabbit pellet about the team only his career stats 6. Why didn't they amnesty Pau/ Kobe hates him and he's $20 mil 7 Why do they keep D'antoni when they are based around Kaman and Kobe who has a busted wheel 8. Their #2 go to guy may be Farmar or Lamar

Now the fun begins

Kaman is the Moses who will part the waters and lead them to victory based on crushing and humiliating defeats and they are looking forward to it. Sounds like the submissive in a Hollywood dungeon who says "Yes Mistress may I have another". Didn't they once laugh at Kaman when he was young and a lot better? His defeats are going to really lead them to victory

Because of their greatness they would never be a lottery team but if they tried the fans would revel in their tanking.

Here's how they determine victory. Take the winners margin +10 points and square it =100. Then take their margin of loss and square it =100. Then divide by each team's fans IQ. Winner every time

I still have trouble with Laker Speak and the bush sure made more sense (True Story). Maybe we should have gotten a life sized cut out of Elmer Fudd

Post Script LAL fans are going to be hotfooting it to the R,W&B faster than roaches where the light's on but in order to be Clip Nation they have to pass a test

Name on Laker other than Kobe

Write an essay stating why BG should pork your sister.

Urinate on a life sized photo of Stu 'the Easy Deuce" Lantz while screaming "It's Kobe Time"

I believe Dwight had every right to leave. The coach, his team mates (especially Kobe) never welcomed the guy with open arms. The Lakers are finally getting a dose of reality telling them that they can never get what they want.

Since this is a topic about the Lakers, I was on lunch today and overheard some guys discussing who they were going to get next and the D'antoni situation. They agreed that this season was a lost season but that it was the Lakers plan because forget about Lebron, forget about Melo, it's going to be Durant who will be in a Lakers uniform come the following season.. This guy was pretty much guaranteeing it. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_27

^Durant is a FA in 2016. Typical dumbass Lakers fan. They could trade anything on their roster and it wouldn't be worth 1/4th what Durant is worth.

Lakers have hit that plateau that Yankees have been at for quite a while: big free agent signings, but not the right players to mesh into a great unit. Add pressure to this high priced payroll and it ends up being disastrous. I have no doubt the Lakers will obtain some of the biggest names come 2014, but what I do doubt the Lakers ability to get the right guys

Never really thought about this, but the Celtics have already taken precautionary measures to reload their entire team by getting a ton of draft picks over the next 5 years. They realized their shot to win was gone after that game 7 loss to Miami and the injuries sustained last year. I know the front office probably hates the idea of missing the playoffs as it looks like a safe bet, but they also don't want to go through what they did in the early 90's.

Lakers should really take a lesson from that, I just can't see Nash whose like 39 or 40, a Kobe coming off a serious injury and Gasol taking this team to the promised land.

Wouldn't be an awful idea to trade Gasol and any other trade chips you have to get draft picks and/or young talent like immediately. I wouldn't be excited if I were a Laker fan to cheer for a team that is probably going to get housed in round 1 of the playoffs if they even make it.

Giant payroll and your probably a lottery team with 2 Hall of Famers on your team and potentially a 3rd LOL

Why would anyone want to be a LAL if they weren't a contending team? Boston has a dynasty equivalent to LAL and you don't see Boston fans acting like they've been huffing spray paint. The Knicks are also a "sexy" franchise. Why would they think just touching the Laker floor would get them here to be on a team that sucks.

If they want to go anywhere they can't re sign Kobe.
