Matt Barnes defends Clippers from Lakers fans on Instagram.

I would say that his comment was provoked. Plenty of Flaker fans troll our players' Instagram and Twitter accounts. So you can't blame Barnes for talking some ****. Our players have stayed humble about our rivalry with the Flakers, but it's Flaker fans that keep starting **** with us. Insecure morons, I'll tell ya.

Whether this is real or not it's a fact. And I don't know if anyone will catch up to the lakers and Celtics, or even say the Yankees Cardinals and Giants in baseball as far as how many titles they've won, but the Clippers are the best team in town right now. And unless the Lakers pull off a miracle and land Lebron, it will continue that way for at least the next 4-5 years.

The Giants? They have 7 World Series titles as a whole (2 in SF). The Cardinals have 11. The Yankees are the only ones that can't be matched for a long time.

I know this is a Clip board but speaking of Faker homers,on 710 they credit the resurgence of the Dodgers to be totally thanks to Magic Johnson.

A 200 million dollar payroll compared to last years 85 million couldn't have anything to do with it. No it has to be Magic's 20 million dollar investment in the 2 billion dollar team.

Thank doG for the Fakers and their fans, the world would come to and end if not for their brilliance in keeping everything in the universe going.

Yeah, leave the Giants out of that equation. No one will match the Yankees in our lifetime (should say most of your lifetimes, mine is a lot closer to being over then getting going !)..

its one thing to say it.. its another thing to do it.

Last year...all media hype was saying the same thing..and then both LA teams get kicked out first round.

Love Matt coming back to the team with some great additons.. but we can't back this claim up with a better season..AT LEAST get out of the first round..

we will continue to be called the little brothers of LA

I think the difference last year was that everyone outside of ctb, (& some here) thought the Lakers won the offseason, so finishing at the same time as a team that added D12 & Nash wouldn't sound so bad a year ago.

Now this year I'd say we had a top 3 offseason (with HOU & GSW) & the Lakers had a bottom 3 offseason losing Dwight & Earl Clark. I think Matt Barnes has reason to be confident & I think its a lot different than last year.

Well shall see. High high hopes for a better season. On paper looks good. In pictures. Big strong shooters. But can they play together to win games? Is Blake going to step up? Is D Jordan going to make a free throw under pressure? Will our starting 5 get the job done?

Barnes is right. The Clippers ARE the better team... and by a huge margin.

Last 3 seasons, we've gone from finishing 25 games behind the lakers to 1 game behind them to 11 games ahead of them. We swept their much-vaunted HOF roster, and they're only getting older and more injury-prone.

Clippers hire the most expensive coaching dream-team in the league and lock up a top-tier superstar for 5 years while laker fans are getting excited about pending cap space and Antoni getting the boot after Howard basically paid $30,000,000 to escape El Segundo.

They can call us "little brother" all they like. Maybe Taylor Griffin still calls Blake that too... or Pau Gasol might say it about Marc... but we all know who's better right now. Times change... and it's time for laker fans to learn a little humility.

got no qualms w/Barnes spouting off some, and.... the Lake show still has Kobe, Nash, Gasol and now Kaman.... ain't no pushovers, and we have yet to show we are a playoff caliber defensive squad, and we've yet to shore up our front court depth w/an again, playoff caliber pf/c.... still got a lot of games to play....

Not mad at Matt at all! Don't get me wrong. He is reppin hardcore for his team. The team has to back up his words. Significant improvements without a doubt. But they must translate into WINS! Excited for the upcoming season. Excited to see how everyone gels. Excited to see confidence levels increase. YES!! We will have a better record than Lakers. We are a better team than a lakers even with Kobe. But it must been shown in the playoffs. We have to prove it.

Not really a fan of a comment like this from a player that hasn't accomplished anything note worthy but he is correct, the Clippers are the best team in LA right now. But at the end of the day what does that mean? When the Lakers were the best team they were actually winning it all, not just the best regular season record and being happy about it, so as long as the Clippers continue to make early exits in the post season it means nothing at all. Show's the difference between both franchises, Lakers have to win it all or it's a bust, Clippers get excited just because they out performed the Lakers. Then he says it's their time lol really? Last time I checked it's the Heat's time.

The Clippers are the best team in L.A., and it looks that way for the foreseeable future for one key reason: the front offices of each team. In Jim Buss' short reign he has brought in Dwight Howard and lost him, brought in Steve Nash and gave up some draft picks, brought in Ramon Sessions and lost him, gave up Lamar Odom and Derick Fisher, brought in coach Brown and D'Antoni and yet snubbed Phil Jackson.

In contrast the Clippers have brought in Chris Paul, Doc Rivers and Alvin Gentry, J.J. Redick, Jared Dudley, Darren Collison, and others yet lost no one they wanted to retain in free agency.

So despite your little assesment of the Lakers having championships and striving for them that is the previous regime, and your current one has no clue of how to build a team, whereas the Clippers have made all the right moves.

The Clippers havent ever won a championship true, but up until Shaq joined the heat in 2006 neither did the Miami Heat, now look at them. At some point championships start from nothing we believe that we are on that cusp of doing that. And until we do get a championship we will be just fine enjoying these seasons of beating the s#it out of the Lakers 4-0 when we do meet them in the season Smile Enjoy the rebuilding process of your beloved lakers Charlie Brown

By the way this is your attempt of trying to keep the Lakers relevant

Barnes is right man, we are the better team now in LA, and we are only two teams here not 30 and heat is in the east. lol

but don't worry you'll be back in the front seat after 30 years with Jim Buss leading the lakers management.

Bitter Smile

The Clippers are certainly the better team in LA right now. Next thing to do to really be able to flex those NBA muscles, is to win a championship. I hope they do it this coming season.

LOL @ Charlie Brown using a Larry Bird avatar. You really think you can get away with being a Laker homer by putting a Bird avatar?

Check out the guy's posting history. His first adventure here was to troll us when Dwight Howard became a Laker last summer and he said "it got Clipper fans shook." LMAO. 0-4 against the Clippers.

@cleepers. good insight bro. what makes me laugh is how they cant even get their facts right like the ever popular "the clippers best season=the lakers worst season" some of these so called fans forget where the Lakers were when Shaq left town. they conveniently have amnesia about the Kwame Brown and Smush Parker days lol...oh well they well re-live that soon

Some gems from the Flaker troll:

Aug 14, 2012 lol I see the Lakers got Clippers fans shook.

Sep 29, 2012 Yes the only really quality they have on the bench is Meeks, Hill and Jamison but remember 2 of the Lakers big 4 will most likely always be on the court. Lakers had one of the worst benches in the league last season, but so did the Clippers. While neither made great improvements enough to make claim to having the best bench both teams should have a top 15 bench.

Lakers deserve no lower than third based off their potential. They have the ability to be one of the only few teams that can be both a top 5 offensive and defensive team in the league, while your placing the Clips ahead of them can the same thing be said about the Clippers?

Sep 29, 2012 Yes the Lakers got worse defensively at their weakest position (not by much) you you fail to mention how they greatly improved at their weakest position as well. It works both ways, never has Howard played with a point guard this good, never has Howard played on a team this good. This time around he can focus more on defense than he has ever had since he doesn't have to carry the scoring load. Never has Howard played along side a shot blocker like Pau, never has Howard played alongside a perimeter defender like Artest or Kobe. Positives greatly out weight the negatives. Not once did I crown them a champion.

Sep 29, 2012 Good numbers for a big but I wouldn't really say 3.2 assist is considered specializing in anything and especially since Griffin isn't considered a great big man passerlike a Webber, Divac, Garnett, Gasol, Walton etc just to name a few those are who you would call bigs that specialized in passing. Griffin is a very good rebounder, but with his athleticism his rebounding numbers are not off the charts.

Blake Griffin career APG: 3.6 Pau Gasol: 3.3

Dude, give it up. You sound like an impotent old man watching some young stud getting some and talking about how back in the day when you could still get it up, you got hotter chicks than him.

Just enjoy the memories and acknowledge that your time has come and gone... unless of course you believe that Nick Young and Chris Kaman are laker Viagra Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_03
