"I sat in his office and we talked about how he thought I could be much, much better defensively, especially defensively in transition," Griffin said. "And I completely agree. That's going to be kind of a focus for me, putting in that time and that effort to relearning our defensive schemes, language, and really putting in the effort every day, every single day at practice where in games it carries over."

I am really looking forward to seeing how much BG has improved. If he has developed a consistent jump shot, he is going to be VERY VERY hard to guard.

I can't wait to see Dudly do work... JJ is growing on me.. but we'll have to see what happens in the season.

Somebody is excited lol. BTW one thing I love for the team that Arash mentioned last week is the reason our team is doing training camp in SD. He said Doc/Gentry want to take away the chance for players to go their own way after practices and this will force them to spend more time and go out more as a team. Basically a total team chemistry decision.

This part was written for Jarca who always questions Blake's work ethic despite everyone who has any close interaction with him saying the exact opposite Wink

I love that Blake seems genuinely excited about facing up on offense. Other players might be concerned, especially when they're as good in the post as Blake (who I think as actually become underrated down low).

I like all the defensive talk, you have to love the work ethic. I think his face up game can be killer and is why I'm good with him not working on his post game yet. He should master this and once he does then add or master the post moves he has and a few wrinkles. If he becomes a solid defender then the league will have to watch out.

Thanks 86.

nba.com has a Clipper review going on with Baron Davis and Byron Scott.

I posted up on another thread that Jim Mora did something similar with the UCLA Bruin football squad. He took them to train in San Bernardino to take them away from distractions and to build chemistry. One year later the Bruins are undefeated and stand at the #9th ranking in the nation. Small things like this go a long way, and like Jim Mora, Doc Rivers does all the little things to build this group together as a single unit

Page I agree. Things like that can end up having a huge pay off.
