This could be a big break for the Clippers! They still have a stud in KD but it won't be the same without Russ.

We face them twice during that stretch so it helps us greatly.

Hopefully Chris Paul. Who knows. Scott Brooks/VDN 2.0 might be dumb enough to have Fisher guard him. Razz

I don't like it. I never like winning when a team isn't full stregnth.

I like watching good games knowing that we truly have the better team.

Hard to brag when their second best player is out.

To win championships you need some luck, so I reckon we should take the gifts when given. Of course it feels better to beat a team when they are full strength but winning is winning.

Westbrook may only be out 2 total weeks. Various reports flying in from all over the place.

Up until now he never missed a game, right? So you could say that OKC were really lucky to have star that is never out.

Yeah, I heard he hadn't missed a game since HS or junior high something like that. Good thing for him too, proves he's extremely durable. Like Westbrook hope he comes back like a fire cracker.

Not sure its luck. WB just seems like a genetic freak like Lebron which makes him really durable. He just had a freak accident with Beverley.

Darnell Mayberry ‏@DarnellMayberry 8m

R. Westbrook has passed all medical/physical benchmarks in rehab. Russ, his reps, physicians & medical team agree. He will play tonight.

Sure isn't following Rose's advice. What a competitor! Really wish he came back AFTER the Thunder played us but at least he should be rusty.

Good, I didn't want it to turn into a D Rose type debacle where all anybody talks about is when he's gonna come back.

WB isn't nearly that overhyped and doesn't have a ridiculous "Return" campaign like Rose. He also doesn't say stuff like "I am the best player in the nba".

On a side note, is anyone else tired of seeing that "Let me tell you somethin'" commercial? The way he delivers the lines, the fact it's utterly pretentious....I can't stand it. Sorry, just a pet peeve I guess.

I am tired of the Rose hype in general. I always considered him overhyped and overrated. He gets a lot of hype but little criticism for not coming back even though he was cleared in February citing "muscle memory" issues. I am also beginning to think he is more socially awkward than humble with his stupid statements like "I am the best player in the nba". Seriously it is one thing to be confident and its another thing to say stupid things.

I don't consider him better than Westbrook tbh. They are around the same level. The difference is Rose gets a lot more hype since he is the superstar of a big market that is desperate for another guy to lead them to a chip after MJ left.

I keep hearing the absurd notion that Rose has no help when....

1) The Bulls had a better winning % in the lockout season than Rose's MVP season even though Rose was out nearly half the season.

2) The Bulls have three players that are All Star caliber(Noah, Deng, Boozer).

3) The Bulls have a top 3 coach.

4) The Bulls made it to the 2nd round with almost all of their roster banged up and no Rose.

I can go on. Also he has playing worse than a D League scrub in the first 3 games and no one seems to care. He frankly would be in playing condition already if he came back earlier. Rubio and Shumpert are already at 100%, maybe better.

I mean Rose is a great player. He KILLED us a couple of years ago, but he did so by penetrating and dishing to open guys. I feel like we should have let him actually get his points and shut everyone else down, but we tried the opposite.

I never, NEVER thought Rose was "humble". Yet that's his reputation. To me, he has a bit of a selfish gene in him, actually. In some respects, that's a positive...other times not so much.

And you're right. Rose actually has a great team around him. They won a lot of games without him. It's his job as their leader to utilize their strengths.

I never said he wasn't a great player. So is RW. I just feel that he is overrated and overhyped. People act like he is a top 3 player or something. He only won that MVP since it was a weak MVP season and due to his team winning a lot(which had more to do with the Bulls being number 1 defensively) + the narrative and story around him.
