yeah, I get what you're saying, Ekker. DJ is definitely a work in progress, but it's just so exciting to see him playing well so far that it's hard to temper my optimism right now.

another area requiring improvement... consistently boxing out for rebounds instead of just jumping for balls. If he does that, I'll be all aboard the DJ hype train!

The boxout thing is still an issue BUT it's better than before. There is a rebounds our guards are rebounding the hell out of the ball this preseason and it's because EVERYBODY is doing better boxing out. The thing is DJ probably isn't strong enough or smart enough rebounding wise to box out a guy like Kanter. If you CAN'T box a guy like that out consistently the key is reacting to the offensive rebound the right way and getting a stop and DJ has done outstanding of blocking the putback attempt.

This makes me pee down my leg and into my shoe and have any of you tried to walk with a shoe full of pee? Unfortunately I have. Anyway. STERN DID NOT HELP US OUT HE HELPED HIMSELF AND THE LEAGUE OUT.

If anybody read MDSr's interview he 'splained it to you Lucy. MDSr coached both LAL and LAC so he had no axe. The league owned NOH and wanted to sell it. In order to attract buyers you have to have assets. Trading Pau who is $20 mil and not worth it for CP3 makes no business sense. Nobody would buy the team. Gordon a 20 ppg player and Kaman an expiring contract made business sense. According to MDSr CP3 to LAL was never even on the table. Let's put to rest the LAL wet dr*am

And furthermore has anybody ever tried to post while toasted on absinthe? it worked for Shelly. Thank the muse for spell check. Anyway

One of Toohip's most important pearls of wisdom is the "cow pie/chocolate brownie rule". It will now called "Gospel according to Toohip 3:17". If you've never heard it it goes like this.

If it's brown smells bad and you find it in a cow pasture no matter what anyone tells you it ain't a chocolate brownie. It's bull s*it. if you insist and continue despite all logic to call it a chocolate brownie then put it in your mouth. Toohip 3:17

Until two games ago DJ was a cowpie and KG was a brownie. Since DJ was in the league he stunk it up. KG was a gem. If we had gotten KG we could have gotten Pierce. Trading DJ was a No Brainer.

Rivers, - hereafter called "25" KG BG PP Yes they would have let PP go with KG where ever he went JJ CP3 This is a championship team. It would be nuts not to make the trade

HOWEVER. Nobody could have predicted that DJ aka "the Texas Longhorn" (David this is not a pe*** joke) would have made a Schrodingeresque quantum leap. If he continues to develop he could be arguably the best center in the league if Bynum is out. D12 can eat his shorts. Maybe Hibbert

Someone said he's the most athletic center they've ever seen. They obviously never saw "the Big Dipper' but if DJ continues to develop he may be able to carry Wilt's gym bag.

BTW. Agent0, in respect to guarding MJ, as far as lateral movement how many seven footers played racquetball? He probably had better lateral movement than most guards. He was the only player ever who could possibly have shut MJ down

Again to quote Mr. Spock after he porked that Romulean bit*h "I too was moved emotionally'

@toohipcliptoslip it is just something to get the Laker fans riled up. I like to agree with them that Stern is out to get them and that he is going to destroy the franchise before he leaves and makes us the powerhouse, as a bet amongst him and his friends. It's the easiest way to get them to admit that we are a far superior team at this point in time. Making them think that Stern has a conspiracy theory to make us the team of L.A. is lot of fun and I recommend for all of you to try it at least once with your Laker fans that are not realistic about anything related to basketball (you know the ones that say they are going to get Lebron, Carmelo, and Paul George).

@pageC4 yeah I enjoy giving them crap about how Jim is tearing that team apart, and none of the other owners like him. The league hates him and they will be abysmal once Kobe leaves; whether its true or not it is fun to get them to put their heads down.

Anyways DJ seemed to be doing a better job at boxing out last night, nothing spectacular but at least putting a body on Plumlee and Gortat a bit more than he was doing in previous games.

I just spread the word that Lebron wants to go to the Lakers, but he knows Stern won't let it happen without penalties. It's one of the funniest things, I told them that Lebron and Carmelo don't want to go to the Lakers because they know Stern will have it set up so they can't win any titles.

@namzug. And I thought I was twisted. It will be interesting to see if LAL wins more games without Kobe. Chris vs DJ will be REAL interesting. I think DJ will turn him to moose jerkey
