If we try to compare this years Clippers to that of the 2008 Championship Celtics, WHO WILL BE WHO?

Rajon Rondo - Chris Paul Ray Allen - ???? Paul Pierce - ???? Kevin Garnett - Blake Griffin Kendrick Perkins - Deandre Jordan

BENCH Tony Allen - Matt Barnes Brian Scalabrine - Byron Mullens/Antawn Jamison

But the thing that is most important to me is Who Will Be Our Ray Allen? We know JJ will be coming off screens , but Jamal will as well! The reason I wonder is because they both easily can be! When Ray first came into the league he would KILL you off the dribble (JAMAL CRAWFORD LIKE) but changed to a spot up shooter (JJ REDICK LIKE) under Doc Rivers!

Who do you think will be our RAY ALLEN and why?

Pretty obvious answer....JJ. I think we'll see JJ close out more games then Jamal.

A lot of poster already crowned redick. They'll even point to stats that he's just like Allen

It's obviously JJ, but who knows maybe Bullock is our future Shuttlesworth.

And IMHO I think Blake will be more of the Paul Pierce of the team.

Well one of the reasons is JJ's off the ball movements. He's been doing that since college...maybe high school. So it comes natural for him. As opposed to Jamal who may have been surprisingly effective in training camp, but it's definitely not something that is second nature and may lose consistency over time.

Very different team and skill set I don't think we will have a Ray Allen type

Obviously Redick. When Ray Allen came to Boston he was already a shell of his former self. Crawford isn't the shooter that Allen is.

haha Allen was coming off a 26 ppg season his last year in Sea so I wouldn't really say he was a shell of his former self.

Crawford's numbers last year are actually in line with what Allen did his first year in Boston especially when you consider Ray was playing 35 mpg and Crawford barely was hitting 30 .Crawford's play last year gets too easily dismissed when as of right now only handful of guards have shown they are capable of that type of play over the course of a entire season basically gets dismissed way too easily

There are several keep points being overlooked in these comparisons is that we don't have a screener as established as KG is. We also don't have a Pierce who was basically the the go to guy who drew all the the attention to himself either.

Without a Pierce type the entire offense is a different and we shouldn't be trying to mimic a offense that he carried most of the time. We should adjust it to our own players.

I hope JJ makes a name for himself with the Clippers. He's seen his numbers jump every year (although the trip to Milwaukee kinda slowed him down). I would love to see a little of that guy come out who wore number 4 for Duke once upon a time.

He was noticeably worse in 08 compared to 07 not just due to a reduced role. I guess it was an exaggeration to say he was a shell of his former self.

I could care less about the Boston offense. The Celtics were great due to defense not offense. With CP3 as our offensive anchor and BG as the first option we will be a perennial top 3-5 offense.

There's no Ray Allen, but Redick will play a similar role and has similar skills on offense in terms of moving off the ball and drawing attention as a shooter.

Don't forget Jamal or Bullock. Jamal can just flat out play but Bullock is a very good shooter

JJ game is very Ray Allen like. Much like rip and Reggie. Can't wait to see him play with our starters.

I'm disappointed he's not able to play for another week or so. But he's the kind of player that should be able to fit in at a moment's notice.
