Saw the fellas on Kimmel tonight, the good news is Blake didn't look all that gimpy and he said his knee's doing okay. No doubt he'll be out for a bit and taking care of it, but I'm encouraged.

Please don't let this develop into a 5 month sidelining injury

Yep, I'd prefer that even if he was healthy.

Seemed kinda short, but maybe that's because there were 3 of them. It was pretty cool. Kimmel didn't really pine too much about the Lakers.

Why does Blake always get hurt in practice or meaningless games? Somebody tell this guy to take it easy... "We're talking 'bout practice!"

The whole getting hurt while going up was scary as hell because of the rookie year injury. This sucks because the offense has been adjusted to Blake on the elbow and from game 1 he showed he needs the work in game.

Agree, with everybody. They are pros because of not only there physical gifts but typically because of their competitive nature. I guess it's hard to just turn that off.

yeah i just saw him shooting on Instagram. this is actually better for him to practice his individual skills right now rather than dunking and getting hurt on a preseason game. He still needs to improve his post moves

Blake needs to know his range. Stop shooting near the 3pt line. That seems to be about a few ft from where he was taking shots vs Por.

Amare in his prime was great at knowing his range. Hopefully Blake learna this by Doc forcing him to take shots from certain distances and spots.

I'm happy to hear Blake say he feels better and wants to play tomorrow. Not sure that's a good idea but it's still a great sign.

For what it's worth, we have 3 games in 4 days so my best guess is that he won't play tonight.

Griffin Back at Practice! Article on the Clippers website. Can't post the link because i'm still a Noob Sad but i'm not a bandwagon. Just wanted to get that cleared, been a fan since the 90s.

Great News!!! We can all breath a sigh of relief. Although i still wouldn't let him play tonight, i'm sure the knee is still a little sore. Might as well let it heal completely throughout the pre-season so he's 100% for opening night.

It's tough because I think he needs to practice more than anyone. Not because he's struggling or anything, but because he's been asked to change his game more than anyone (except maybe for Crawford) and needs the adjustment period. At the same time, I don't want him making a situation worse.

I doubt if playing tonight will exacerbate a simple bruise, but it may be painful. I expect Doc will leave it up to Blake. Wouldn't surprise me to see him for 15 minutes or so in the first half just to run some sets in a game situation.

Sometimes those "simple" knee bruises can keep you out much longer then you think when not handled with the proper care. We'll see.

Indeed they can... but the fact that this is the Clippers' $100,000,000 man and he only missed one day of practice leads me to believe this is not one of those times.

From L.A. Times...

"We'll see how it is today," he said. "Then we'll go from there. But it's my intention to play."

Griffin missed his 2009-10 rookie season after having surgery on his left knee to repair his kneecap.

The latest injury is "not even really that bad," Griffin said. "Bone bruises, I'm good with bone bruises. Me and bone bruises are on good terms. It's really about pain management."

Let him play today if he wants to. If it was bad, they wouldn't even give him the option. A bone bruise on the knee isn't really a risk, it's just a question of how effective he will be. Play him today. Hold him out of the next one regardless. Then go from there.
