At least everyone can agree on something. Mullens is terrible:/. I hope he changes my mind soon but I don't see him magically getting that much better in a short time.

So far looks like Jamison will end up being primary PF off the bench and Amundson and Hollins trading off at the 5. Mullens might be in the doghouse second straight game with poor effort

Jamison with the 3 point closeout. Great effort on D from him.

I guess this would be okay to say if he was 19, 20 years old, but he's 25 years old in February, hmm...

I think they should actually get him working with the shooting coach. I know it seems weird since he's a big that shoot's three's, but he's a very inconsistent shooter, even looking at his FT shooting. 82% on year, then 65% the next.

At the least he needs to have one thing on the court that he can say "I can do this". He's not supposed to be a bad defensive rebounder either. You can't be below average at everything and expect to get minutes.

Hollins is a terrible fouler... but his PNR defense and hard fouls make him much more valuable than Mullens IMO.

Liking so far this quarter of Hollins, Jamison (surprisingly on D) and specially Collison.

Yup. Collison+Jamison+Hollins have turned the game around. Hilariously enough... they are doing it vs the Jazz starters the whole quarter.

LMAO. This cracked me up. Now all we need is for the Jazz to "Beat It." lol

Great block by Hollins!

Yea, really liking Jamison's effort. I think he's played himself into the backup PF role

Were closing with Jamal, Collison, Hollins, Jamison and Green and our D doesnt suck against the Jazz starters. Thats something.

I missed the whole first quarter. How was DJ's defense. I see only one block but that's no big deal as long as he was making an impression inside. Does he still look focused?

Extra sweet for the bench to beat up a teams starters and gain some confidence. I don't want Crawford traded we had numerous years with only one scoring option off the bench, whether it only be Mo Williams or Crawford I'm glad to have two guys in Collison and Crawford. It will help in the post season.

He was great as he was in 5 of the other 6 games so far this preseason. Just played great all around D. Favors is on fire this game and still got buckets but DJ defended well.

I was hoping we could win by one point so that Burks technical for touching the ball after the bucket could be decisive.

So far, Collison is totally badass. Give him , Barnes and Jamal a rim protector (Jamison played good D, cant believe im saying this and RyHo made some good plays, but was inconsistent) and the tribe could be back.

Yeah jamison has found a new passion in his last years ^^

Collison is very productive even some shots won't fall.

Hollins maybe now over Mullins. Amoundson had some good rebounds.

nice to see the bench can beat the Utah starting line.

I would like our bench unit to be... Collison, Crawford, Bullock, Barnes and Jamison when we run small ball.. Collison, Crawford, Barnes, Jamison, Hollins when we don't. Mullens should only be in for specialty plays. I do feel terrible saying this because Mullens is a classy guy who WANTS to be good and you can tell he just feels like sh** hanging his head on the bench, looking like he's about to cry. I wish no ill will on him but he needs to be the 3rd stringer until he figures it out.

Mullens so far has been trash. He will for sure be better than what he's shown so far, but my expectations have plummeted.

Cool. That's what I was hoping. Now if only he could hit half his FT's. I hate to beat a dead horse but...

JJ looked real good. Not just the shots, but sold defense. Had great movement. I'm stunned, frankly, that he didn't look rustier. Our core guys otherwise were decent.

I think I've decided Barnes should start. I mean, DJ's gonna get his 7 or 8 boards. As long as we're asking Blake to play the defense he's been playing in the preseason, and I think he's really stepped it up, his rebounding may not be quite as good as in the past. He'll be around 8 boards. We need Matt in the starting lineup to grab those extra boards...and he can grab 5-7 boards. Not to mention his overall defense. His slashing and occasional 3's. Which means Dudley will have better luck grabbing boards against a 2nd unit guy, and provide offense as well.

Probably won't happen, but that's my pitch.

Yea it was amazing to see JJ rusty, out of shape and all... still hit an efficient 14 points in 19 minutes while playing very respectable D. I agree Barnes should probably start.. with Dudley off the bench. I also agree DJ's free throw shooting plummeting back to last year's numbers is worrisome. Blake did a good job putting back 3 dunks tonight like Doc is talking about on postgame. No more getting all pass happy and sh** Blake.

Dudley needs to score more points - it's pretty shocking that he's barely attempting any threes. I get punched on for this, but I trusted caron way more when he'd take shots.

Doc talking about the bench getting a confidence boost after struggling in games and practice as a unit. Ryan Hollins and Jamison really kick started the boost of energy.

Dudley needs to take more shots..he's a much better shooter then Caron.

Barnes is a better fit off the bench he is a high pace fast break slasher. That fits best with Collision and Crawford while Dudley is more of the half court sets shooter for us. I wish Dudley would move around more on offense I don't suspect him to move like Redick but he should set more off ball screens and take this jumpers. I think he is still getting into shape and figuring where to take his shots.

I'm pretty sure Barnes will finish games over so far when needed.

Give Mullins a bit of slack.

I don't believe DJ. He's starting to play well with his back to the basket. It would be interesting if he makes me eat my words by being an allstar

Has anybody noticed. Twice Blake drove to the basket? I'm sure it was with Doc's blessing. However as everyone has said we have no rebounding on the second team. Would I take Lamar back? If he gets drug tested and is healthy, in a heartbeat

I was really rooting for Mullens...but OMG! this kid should NOT, I repeat NOT start EVER!

Dudley...TRADE HIM! please.....this dude does not get points, rarely makes his shots..and doesn't play good defense..he is not in the position he is suppose to be in, leaving the opponet WIDE OPEN.. who said JJ was out of shape.. DUDLEY is out of shape, stomach hangs out of his jeresy

Collison YES IMPRESSED! Barnes always that top bench man.. but I would like to see him start, as well.. get the momentum of the game off to a good start. he brings so much aggressive energy..

JJ FINALLY been waiting to see him play..not bad for first game.. looking to see more out of him season..

Hollins...whatever...he looks like a scared chicken most of the time but the best tonight then I have ever seen him play

Jamison - can beat experience sometimes... he will balance out the team quite well..

There were times he was open, but whenever Jamal had the ball he would dribble the ball to the paint and look to score rather than pass to a wide open Bullock. Bullock will score when given more opportunities

Lol, seriously though, he's quite mobile for a guy like that

Jamal does need to be a little less tunnel vision with his scoring because there were some times when he drew defenders and had some people with what could have been open looks, but he was too intent on shooting.

Dudley needs to pick it up, but I'd rather you play well during the season than be a pre-season superstar.

Rebounding still a bit meh

Actually Agent, I was quite serious about Gobert. Would love to have him as our backup C. Utah isn't dumb though...damn.

Yea, so was I, he would be a great pick up with his length and mobility he has, especially seeing what Doc did with Stiemsma

Thought Crawford has some good passes especially in the 4th. Sometimes I see Crawford pass it and they give it right back its his job to be aggressive. I can't express enough how glad I am for once we have two scoring options off the bench. Think Collison and Crawford will continue to get better as well as a duo and Barnes hustle will fit in as well.
