And my thoughts on Hollins: Made some awful fouls, but he could still be corrected, imho. Plus, that block on Cousins was great to see.

Mully: I want to love you, I really do. But youre not helping a bit.

Every game we've played a shooter from the other team has got ridiculously hot. Hard to keep the score down in those games!

Isiah is annoying to the opponents, lol. What a great low 2nd round pick.

Damn that was a tough game. We knew Cousins would get his, but to win with Thomas having the game he had? Awesome!

Another super performance by CP3 (although he must be getting pissed that he keeps getting torched despite good defense).

Blake 8 for 8 from the line. Seriously, he's been going to the line a lot so far this season. Rebounding like Rookie Griff!, 2 great blocks and 6 assists. Crawford once again bailing out the bench and hitting some big shots. Redick going 5-8 from the field and earning a RIDICULOUS +23...the best of the night. I know it's a misleading stat, but it shows we're playing great as a team with him out there.

Great job by DJ at the line! I will take 4-6 from him any day. Especially down the stretch!

The bench still has some problems. Great game all around though.

Thrilled for the win - is anyone concerned we have given up over 100 points in all three games going into a very tough game against Houston? I am...even though it feels like our defense is better, based on the eye test. Everything seems contested but teams get hot against us. Odd.

Defense is still learning and the fact we have no back up bigs to go to consistently hurts the overall defense. Every time Hollins looks hopeful he takes major steps back and Mullens won't figure it out.

The Kings went on a run as soon as Mullens and Hollins were our bigs. Not a coincidence. Our bench is weak with those bigs.

The question is, will Jamison be any better than Mullens? I wonder if he'll get the call against Houston.

Damn BG played almost the entire 2nd half. He had a very quick break in the 4th. Other than the Laker game, which was just bad, I feel like our defense has definitely been better. But both games suffered from super individual performances. No doubt we lose last year if Steph Curry is hitting 9 threes. Then tonight with Thomas? Unbelievable. Also our bench is definitely costing us points right now. Having said that, our defense hasn't been perfected yet. I'm sure that will still take time.

Oh, and I forgot Dudley. He definitely hit some timely jumpers also.

I'm disappointed with Hollins. Sure, he's made mistakes before. But tonight he was particularly boneheaded.

Despite a couple of great individual performances, we did hold Sac to 45.6% at their house and 35.3% from 3. Meanwhile we shot 50% overall and 50% from 3.

On a side note. Redick actually got more rebounds than Dudley 2nd night in a row. That probably shouldn't happen. lol

Very nice win on the road & back-to-back vs a dangerous team. Great job by CP3 and Blake Griffin down the stretch- making plays and hitting free throws. Excellent games by the 2 superstars. It was also great to see Blake get a ton of boards (17!). Nice response by him to the "What Happened to Blake Griffin As a Rebounder?" thread, lol.

DJ was bothered by foul trouble, but it was encouraging to see him hit some free throws down the stretch. Redick & Dudley did their job hitting open shots, and Jamal was superb w/ 18 off the bench in just 22 minutes. Barnes had some key plays & hit shots as well in the third quarter.

Couple days now to prep for the Rockets- hope the guys stay sharp and get another good win coming up!

Glad we got the win. The defense though is really concerning. Given up at least 100 points each game and 110+ in the first 2 games. That will not be a recipe for success. You can't expect to to score 120-130 just to win. Hope it improves in time.

I'm loving our shooting guards right now. JJ is the solid shooter from spot up or off screens. He's played effective defense and has been killing it on +/- for the team. In short, he's been a great starter. Jamal is business as usual as the best 6th man in the league. He's a change of pace and a nightmare to guard. It's kinda great to see both of them on the court closing out games with Paul!

Who would have ever thought that we'd be biting our nails waiting for DJ to come back in to STOP the team making boneheaded plays down low.

Our boy is growing up.

Solid road win against another team that wants our scalp. Particularly pleased to see Blake storming the boards like an animal.

The defense is not a concern. players are still learning the schemes and for some reason or other there is a player going nuts on us. Xavier Henry (who?), Steph "sweet shooting" Curry, and now Isaiah Thomas (this is concerning. 3 straight games we havent been able to stop him, including preseason).

Defense will get better as the season goes on.

By the way, Blake was not only aggressive on offense, he was VERY active on Defense. Not only blocking shots but coming over from the weak side to alter shots and helping on D.

Despite their best game, Clippers manage to win most of them. This is what I like about this team this year.

God I hate NBA Game Time sometimes. It seems like they always promise to show the Clippers highlights before the commercial break...then they don't show it at all. Until a replay of Game Time, like, an hour later. It's annoying. Show the highlights or don't. Stop promising you'll show them without actually doing it. Grrrr!

Jason Collins is a scrub and he is pretty old to boot. I do think someone should have invited him to camp though. Not sure how much of an upgrade he is. Too bad lamar has such issues, he would be perfect for docs system.

Blake put on his rookie big boy pants last two games. He stopped trying to be Dirk and went back to trying to be Charles Barkley. Love his intensity.

That doesn't mean anything. Hollins play with Doc before, but he wasn't that great.

Have to take into account the pace. If you're playing at a high pace, the other team might score a lot, but they aren't necessarily super effective with their possessions.

Jason Collins can't rebound, can't block shots, is useless on offense, is slow, is foul prone, and his main skill is man to man defense against bigger bigs. He is a good team defender, but not as good as getting to the spots anymore, but he used to be a great charge taker.

He would be useless.

Darren Collison isn't 100% healthy! Its really obvious JC hasn't been hitting free throws when he was money at the line like 90% last season JJ Redick is just "REDICKULOUS" (I hope you guys catch on with....

As much as I despise Crawford and his inconsistent chucking, we badly need his shot-creation and offense for the second unit. I wouldn't trade him yet. He got off to an amazing start last year as well, so hopefully he remains consistent all year!

I hope Paul still has Emeka's number, hopefully he gets bought put soon and Paul can recruit him. A three man bigs rotation for the playoffs with DJ and Blake should suffice.

as I watch the games I can see that Blake is playing heavy minutes, so is DJ. getting a backup big is of upmost impprtance. If not Emeka, we should be looking at other defensive bigs

I agree with everybody, the bigs we have are trouble. If DJ ever have to sit because of FTs, or if Blake gets in foul trouble, we're screwed.

Too bad about Ivan Johnson... yeah I said it. (haha!)

"A quick pep talk by coach Doc Rivers and some encouraging words from his teammates convinced Paul to keep jacking up shots until they started to fall.

Just like that, Paul's sizzling start to the season rolled on."

"I came out a little slow and tried to let the game develop, but I can't be that way," Paul said. "I have to be more aggressive. Once I got more aggressive, that opened up things for everybody."

Thank you based Doc. Smack CP3 around until he gets that in his head. If anything I want him starting off aggressive and ending aggressive.. he can relax a bit in the 2nd and 3rd quarter if we have breathing room. Him and Blake need to start and end the team on the right note every single night.

Not to question Doc, but I must admit why not try Jamison for a few minutes and see how he does? Last I checked he was still a decent rebounder and maybe would hit some of the shots Mullens is missing.

Ah, thanks guys.

The only thing I lament from last night's game is that TNT wasn't around at half time to single out something bad BG did and ignore the positive things. Y'know, maybe they could have showed a clip of Blake missing a rebound and talk for 10 minutes about how he should have boxed his man out. Something like that. Oh well, I'm know there will be other Clipper games that will be televised by TNT in the future.

I am sad for Jamison though. Because he seems bummed about it even though he understands it. Jamison CAN contribute MUCH more than Hollins and Mullens are now. Doc should give a Jamison/Griffin lineup a chance down the stretch in games. Griffin locked Cousins up last night in the 4th quarter... I'm sure he can guard centers just fine for stretches.
