Bg was great this game but that was a dumb move by him. He wasted 15 seconds by not fouling.

Only good that came out this is the fact that BG basically shut out LBJ when he took him on.

If we were going to foul why not full court press and foul that's on Doc not Blake.

Why is there so much HATE on BG. I don't understand. He is the best Clipper by far today. Playing good d on Bron no less.

I''m not too worried.

It seems like when we score less we give up less points, coincidence?

Only good thing about this game was BG was dominant. Paul played pretty poorly. His shot seemed off and he had some uncharacteristic turnovers(got jobbed on a few calls too).

People were only mad at him wasting so much time without fouling late.

Heat's defense was very good on Paul and his shot was off. I am not too worried. We played pretty well considering its a b2b against the Heat at home. Our defense is still shaky but its slowly improving which is good. We are 3-3 but our schedule is tough. I rather peak later than early anyway.

No actually he is aggressive its just teams double team cp3 rite away that is why our offense gets killed. Blake griffin was actually aggressive in the last minute of this game. He should have done that earlier when they were up. Our team is too passive and our defense needs to get better

Doc is a lot of talk it seems so far. "DJ defensive player of year." How about Clippers worst defensive team in NBA.

Blake and DJ were the only bright spots today. Miami game planned well probably after watching Rockets game and focused their entire D pretty much on shutting down our guards playmaking and shooting.

Blake: 27 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals. 11-14 shooting, 4-5 from the line, scored 4 clutch buckets down the stretch.

DJ: 11 points, 14 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals on 4-8 shooting, 3-5 from the line.

We looked great at the start of the season then looked like crap at the end of the season. Hopefully it is the reverse this season. Smile

I feel like we may look bad because they played with no structure for 2 years. They have developed bad habits. Its very hard to unlearn what you learned and rewire all your principles. Just gotta wait this is gonna be a long and painful process

I am not talking about the last play. I am saying all game long TNT has been bashing him.

comparing him to KG is stupid. Plus he made Lebron look human, not saying he shut him down but he was able to slow him down.

At one point they that his 21-13 game was not effective. Not effective????

Please someone explain to me how the only guy keeping us in has a "not effective game"?

I'm glad to read some consoling posts about this loss. Although they led the Heat for most of the game and then lost the lead, the Clips did hang on until the end. Learning experience for our team.

I suggest you just turn off the tv when the TNT show starts. The people on that show are clueless clowns. Being a great nba player does not mean you know what you are talking about when it comes to actually analyzing the game and other players.

Yeah, I had to tune out the TNT guys. They are just a nasty, overbearing bunch. Can't stand any of them.

This win now year and if Doc is going to be a tight ass about playing Bullock we might as well try to trade him for a big. Watching Willie getting abused on switches and still no Bullock what's the point. Jamison needs to start playing especially when Jordan is in with the bench.

Willie on Lebron was really bizarre. That was such a mismatch. How does Doc expect Willie to do anything against Lebron? Felt bad for him tbh.

Blake might be the only player in the league with the physical tools to guard LBJ....but, it's LBJ.....you can only hope to contain him. If we meet in the Finals Blake will have the task to do so.

We can't trade Crawford ever! He is the safety when Dudley doesn't score. Suns should of gave us a damn pick.

Our team is too incomplete to call it a win now year. Last year was more of a win now with all the injuries in the west

I am thinking this was Docs' idea from day one. We do not have a defensive specialist who can slow down James. He knew that this would be the perfect time to have BG guard LBJ. Get him on the mind set that he could be a good defender and be ready for the FINALS when we get there. Props to BG for doing all he could vs James.

He did a very good job. He might have t-rex arms but he is pretty much the only guy on our team who has the strength to guard Lebron. They are both tanks.

Also I noticed that BG had two nice hard fouls this game which is good.

Until Collison and Barnes gets 100% back into and we get back up big production this team will struggle greatly on the road.

They look a little better because there hasn't been a strong 3 point shooting team. That's when our d will allow 110 plus again.

On e again Dudley looked slow as molasses and our bench played some bad D. Was nice to see Blake playing so well and JJ looked pretty solid on offense but the d is just not there.

I think one of the biggest problems with our D is the propensity to try and get steals instead of helping only when someone is best or has the ball open. There are so many ill advised switches that the team is leaving players open nearly every play.

Road woes 0-3 to start the season

Some obvious flaws, defensively we are to small at the 2, other than Jamal bench suckx both on O n D. We are sorely missing a forward with energy that can pull those big hustle plays guys like kmart, Reggie and Lamar of recent seasons come into mind.

To some extent I agree with miller, BG had a good game but for us to win he had to have a great game, at least 30+pts, if he is truly a superstar you expect no less, IMO still not playing at the same level as his first 2 years.

Technically for a whole game the team shooting wasn't really bad. Of course it was hot in the beginning and slowed down, but whole game shooting wasn't bad. Good enough offensive games don't always mean the offense is good from start to finish, but if the overall product is good, then you just have to make sure the oppositions overall product isn't as good.

There are different ways to win games. Sometimes your offense is working all game, sometimes sometimes your defense is working all game, and sometimes your offense is clicking early and later you have to rely on your defense or vice versa. The problem with this team sofar is that they can't win one half on offense and then win the other on defense.

This was the type of game where you should win the first half on defense, then produce enough offensively in the second half and limit your opponent enough that your defense is able to carry you to the win.

Miami shot 53.5% FG, 31.3% 3PT, 33 FTA. They had 16 TO's, which is good, but not enough to overcome everything else.

Blake vs Lebron:

I've said it before, but Blake is actually basically the same effective size as Lebron, so what he does is really impressive. Lebron has a longer reach than Blake, and there aren't really many SF's with more strength than Lebron. Blake seemingly matches up decently with him to be honest. Maybe one of the few PF's that can actually matchup with him without it being bad.

Unless he makes the jumpers, not much you can do about that right?

Also can't neglect that Willie Green playing SF and being overly outmatched meant that there was more help than you would want, and that didn't help. Barnes playing would have helped there.

We definitely need more production on offense defense and on the boards from the 3 position.

It's crazy how poor Dudley is playing and how he still gets so many minutes. Just try reggie bullock already!!!!

because dude is a beast so his weaknesses really stick out. but i think Doc will have his game improved by the end of the season. Either DJ or BJ is going to have to develop a real post up game and BG has to become more decisive.

Doc isn't known to play rookies a ton, but Bullock can't be impressing enough in practice if he isn't getting minutes.

Dudley definitely needs to shoot more and loose weight.

Don't think that happens with Doc and rookies. Just gotta tell Jared to shoot more for Christ Sakes. Too good of a shooter/decent defender and he has history is on his side.

Don't think the weight has anything to do with it as he's looked (IMO) that way pretty much though out his career. The only weight that maybe affecting him is the one between his ears.

Damn right CP. Got to push the ball more, that way they can't trap you at the top of the key. He needs to learn from Pheonix Suns Steve Nash. You can penetrate into the paint without having to take a shot or pass it, just run out of the paint without losing momentum and eventually someone will be open.

It also scrambles the defense momentarily.

i think it's more doc deciding to go with vets than it is bullock. He historically is very stubborn about playing rookies.
