Jamison imo is an adjustment piece for end of the season and playoff use in certain situational matchups .

Doc has said on more than one occasions that he hasn't made many adjustments choosing instead to see his base sets on both ends and how teams choose play them. He said that he didn't change anything at halftime against OKC we just kept doing the same thing we did in the first half only better. Why does he have to show all his cards in the first two weeks of the season ?

People who doubting Docs should stop. He does not need to show anything. There is a reason he have a championship. He's not Vinny Del Negro. Trust in Docs.

It's pretty hilarious that a cracked out Lamar odom is much better than a healthy non cracked out mullens and Hollins.

Lamar was on the pipe last year as well? He played some great defense and rebounding. Bring him back to play 15-20 minutes a game. We just need to give DJ a breather.

He's rich, I'm pretty sure if he was on hard drugs it was coke, not crack. Cocaine is a rich mans drug anyway... not that any of them are good. He's definitely not a crack head.

This is how this whole thing breaks down We had already brought in JJ , Jared , Doc , and other free-agents! We needed to fill that spot at the PF position! Are number 1 option....

Odom mentioned how much he loved LA when he was traded to Dallas. Reason he asked to be traded from the Lakers is because he felt so betrayed by the Lakers for trying to deal him to New Orleans in the original Chris paul deal. Look at his mental state in Dallas and look at the physical state when we were the one team that gave him a chance. Many reporters have talked about Odoms love for the Lakers and he even talked about the culture of the Laker when he was here. He doesn't need to be playing ball this year and the reason he has slimmed down so much should strongly be considered and attached the huge drug use over the past couple of months or so.

Think this team will make the right move and say thanks but no thanks to Lamar Odom. The team has to look harder and something will become available.

Is this even the best move for him if he is trying to rebuild his life? Shouldn't he be with friends and family trying to fix personal issues rather than being on the road? Its beyond basketball on whatever he does better than Mullens and Hollins.

Sending Mullins to the D-league still counts toward the roster spot. Plus Mullins being a 3+ years guy in the league the team will need his and the unions permission to be sent down. Don't think it happens.

I was watching NBA TV and our announcer, Mike Smith, was being interviewed and subsequently asked about Lamar. Mike said that Lamar showed up to practice on Friday which turned into the media-reported 2-hour meeting with Doc and Co. after the practice. So it seems that Lamar took the initiative to show up to Clippers practice which tells me he's pretty darn serious about making a comeback. I really hope he is well, both mentally and physically, to be the asset the team needs. But after a tumultuous off-season, he really has to show Clipper brass he has made a complete turnaround. Not sure how that can be done in such a relatively short amount of time.

Its a good point the timescale is pretty short for a proper recovery.

Just saw Doc's pregame press conference. He seemed to downplay the meeting. Says he saw Lamar practicing and wanted to talk to him. Said he looks trim and in shape but at the same time that 'doesn't really mean anything'. Said he wanted to talk to Lamar in order to "get ahead" of things. Not sure exactly what that means.

This reminds me of the Phil Jackson interview when he said that when Lamar played on his team, Lamar had to be coaxed back into game shape prior to the start of the season. Lamar would evidently spend the off-season not working out and going on a deep bender. Whether it was an emotional tailspin or drug-induced stupor, we don't know for sure, but his behavior this past summer falls in line with some emotional and psychological pain he hasn't fully addressed with any permanent success. I really hope he's on his way to full recovery this time.

We all know we could use Lamar! Defense and Rebounding! But wouldn't this be the best time to acquire or resign Lamar? Would he be hungrier this year to redeem himself from this summer?

For me the question is no longer would we give LO a second chance but Is Doc going to give him a second chance? Is the deal done? Is it just a media rumor based on the meeting? Is it in the process?

We should find pretty soon I s'pose.

Most of my Jewish friends use the expression JAP, (Jewish American Princess) and make JAP jokes. there are also BAPs Black American Princesses, MAPs Mexican American Princesses. I have never heard anyone take offense at this but if you are offended - sorry. The term Princess refers to a spoiled self indulgent woman of any CULTURE- NOT RACE. Every culture has princesses and they all act the same way. Put a bag over their heads and over their diamonds and you wouldn't know which culture they came from. They act identically. Let's just say the Kardassians are Princesses. I'll leave off the Armenian. Old timers know that I do not make racist comments

Sorry if you were offended

YES!

You guys obviously have never dated a princess but back to the topic with a non guaranteed contract and weekly drug testing and therapy documented why not? Ten day or non guaranteed should work. He may play better. Sometimes when you have a guilty secret like using drugs confession is good for the soul. Crack may be harder to get since scumbag crack dealers aren't in Beverly Hills

Well he was asked if he was re-signing with the Clips and he said "yeah". I wouldn't call that conclusive cos it was kind of "yeah get out of my face I am tryng to get on a plane".

But it is sounding more likley and I have to say I am excited. Maybe it is not wise to sign him but if he can give us what we got last season the team just got a lot better.

If LO does sign and plays at least to the level of last season that is an upgrade over mullens/hollins, guy has got crazy length and the bball IQ of a PG in a PF body, his issues outside of the court is discerning but it is what it is

It would be a huge upgrade in our backup big rebounding and defense! I like it a lot. Wasn't too hot on the idea when all the crack news came out but man we need the defense and the boards!

WHat do people have against Hollins? He's good defensively, and he makes his free throws and he makes plays offensively around the rim. Doesn't anyone remember how LO shot 3/20 last year??? Mullens is picking it up now too, Forget Odom!

Hollins is a bit of a foul machine which is not really good defense.

You say forget Odom but there is a good chance the deal is either done or being done so forgetting may well not be an option. Mullens has been really bad, yes he is picking up a bit but we don't know if that will last.

The Clippers bench will be A LOT better now.

The bench defense is HORRIBLE. IF LO comes back and plays defense like he did last year we will be a tough team to beat.

Throughout the first 10 games, I don't think the bench has been able to maintain the lead if they had one. Which is the reason why the Clippers have been in so many close games this year. LO will help a lot on defense and this is a great move by the front office.

Hopefully he does have all his other issues under control.

Our bigs are picking it up lately. Odom is an insurance policy like Jamison for match up purposes in the playoff

Odom is better than Hollins or Mullens so I wouldn't call him an insurance polity.

I guess our backup bigs are playing a bit better but a bit better than turd is still only a bit better than turd. Lets be honest here. Hollins and Mullens are ultra foul prone. Mullens bricks way more shots than he makes and gives the opposing team free layups.

I must admit though I don't know if it is a good idea or not I am sold. I want him to re-sign. In a play off rotation he can be the 1 back up big and in the regular season we need some decent defense and rebounds to mix up with our 3rd stringers.

I think Odom is compliment to Mullens. I think those two will work well together.
