It does but it doesn't result in better FT shooting. Shawn Marion's ft shooting looks ugly as hell but he is a great Ft shooter.

Big WHEW on that one!

Seriously, I know Blake looked good after that scare. I just hope it's not something bad that he's just playing on. The fact he felt ANYTHING with his achilles is scary.

I try not to be too mad at CP3 because he's been so consistent with his assists and steals, but it's been tough watching him miss shots. Thankfully, he finally made those clutch baskets.

Redick. THAT'S how you bounce back from a couple of lack luster games. He started out great, but I think BG coming back really inspired him because he was knocking down shots! Such a great pickup!

Dudley kinda sucked.

Crawford made some huge buckets. Also 4 awful turnovers in the first half that didn't help things. But that doesn't happen too often.

Mullens came in and had his best game?

When you look at the overall numbers they don't look that bad: We shot 52%. They shot 42%. We grabbed 51 rebounds. They grabbed 39. They only hit 2 more FT's than we did. We even out shot them from 3 (thanks to JJ's 5-7 from downtown)! It was the turnovers that hurt us. 17 turnovers to their 11!

Good win. Just need to clean some things up.

Paul's just having an bad run on the shooting end that's all. He'll pick it up not worried. Good thing he's the type of player that can contribute to wins in so many other ways. Short list of players that can do that.

We got to find a way to get Dudley going. Maybe with early cuts before we look for him to shoot deep. Good effort by Mullens tonight with his shooting

True. I'm just tired of Blake pausing for that second before releasing the ball. That hitch just drives me crazy.

We can't play like this against Memphis. I mean, they aren't very good so far this year, but still. REVENGE game!

My boy DJ has been really consistent. 16 rebs and 5 blocks, I'm so proud of DJ, my favorite Clipper.

BG: 12-19 for 30 points, 12 rebounds and one BIG TIME block!

JJ: 9-14, (5-7 from three), 26 points, 1 steal...and a REDICKulous +14 for the night!

Can't wait till Monday. I want to see how far our bigs have come. They can't play defense like they did against Minnesota

They'll probably run some tests on BG's ankle just in case. I hope everything's good. Sit him if you have to. He's too important. Much as I want him to DESTROY Memphis.

Paul made a pretty good point at the press conference. He stated that their offense is usually more deliberate with their starters, pounding into the post, etc. With the bench they ran more sets and made it more diverse and tougher to defend.

that's the problem!!! Dudley is not athletic or close to having any speed. He is not a slasher can't handle the ball and is not a good passer. He is ok on defense because he is slow so tends not to get burned on fakes. Same as a lot of good defenders their solid and not over athletic. Dudley is a great situational player i just don't think the situation is being a starter or 6 or 7 player off bench.

I dare someone to tell me Blake isn't our MVP of the season. Go ahead, show me the "facts".

Once again Blake makes some baskets in the 4th quarter. I swear this is the most I've seen him make an impact offensively down the stretch since Paul joined the team.

Was great to see JJ hit some shots down the stretch too. Those of us who watched him in Orlando knows he can do it, but it's nice to see him do it in a Clippers jersey!

CP3's growing opening streak (10 and counting) of 10+ points and 10+ assists per game seems impressive. Does anyone know--who was the last NBA player to record an identical or greater opening streak of double-doubles?

Thanks!

What did Crawford do wrong, 5/8 13 points 4 ast in 21 minutes, I thought he had a good game.

CP did't shoot well, but he played great on D and 13 ast and 1 TO, I'll take that.

Dudley Shot horrible and so did Barnes, But Joe Johnson 5/18, I'll take that as well.

The Clippers scored 110 tonight and missed allot of open shots, that happens during the course of a long 82 game season. You guy's talking about Dudley are clearly delusional, He's a good not great player, he plays solid D every night, and he has to guard the other's team best perimeter player on a nightly bases with a bum knee, give him some slack, I don't care if he doesn't score another point, I've been watching him since his days a BC so I know what he brings, WE NEED HIM.

Crawford was pretty good overall, but we had a lot of turnovers in the first half that kept them in the game...and Crawford had 4 of them. However, he made up with some big shots.

I believe Chris is in the company of only John Stockton and Magic Johnson as the only players to do that.

Yes the turnover's hurt, but so did the Offensive rebounds. I thought the nets played Extremely hard though, all night long.

Cp3 is finally back to his NO form, Sept for JJ is better than Wesley and Blake and Cp are starting to click on the Pick and Roll and Pick and Pop like CP3 and David West did. CP3 for "MVP".

Yeah the Nets played with a kind of loose abandon....a team with nothing to lose, so to speak. I mean Blatche was hitting shots all night that he's probably not going to hit in the next game. One of those frustrating things.

That's true. Just look at Desmond Mason (one of the great dunkers in NBA Dunk Contest history). He had an even weirder free throw shot than Blake, but he still shot 74% from the free throw line over his career. Just goes to show you that free throw form means nothing.

Don't look now, but Mullens' TS% is up to .504 despite only shooting 26% from 3PT range and 25% from the line. His eFG% is .516. He's shooting 69.2% on his 2PT FG attempts because guess what? He quit stupid long mid range shots and is just doing stuff at the rim, woot! If he can just get that 3PT% to 33-34 range, that won't fix his defense and sloppy turnovers, but it's okay, it can be a process, little by little.

Paul, Mullens and Collison are all struggling from 3PT range, two of those guys have had seasons with 40% and boast career averages at 36% or better, so there should be only going up from here, right?

Redick is looking to get into that 50/40/90 club. He's at 48.8 / 40.4 / 93.8 right now.

He's so confident with his shot, and I love it. Pulling up for a three on the fast break, oh yea!

Wow what an up and down game! Stoked we pulled it out, defense clamped down some more and man Reddick and Blake got hot! Another solid win that we most likely would have collapsed and lost last year. Was really nice to see Mullens playing solid offense his D is still very bad but Blake played great D and DJ of course did.

Jared Dudley's performance though? Absolutely horrible. I know Bullock had that ridiculous turnover (looked like straight nerves) but he looked good outside of that, he really is a good defender and rebounder. His shot is just missing. I feel like once he gets a couple to drop its going to be very solid.

He's so streaky it's frustrating. Nights like last night, it's good to have him. Ralph and Mike gave him credit as the difference against Brooklyn. A bit of an overstatement but he was definitely helpful last night.

Anyone know if blake has had further testing on his Achilles and of he is ok? His comments after the game make it sound like there is still pain. I'm concerned. He is just as valuable to our tea a a Paul. He is indispensable.

No I haven't heard and to be honest I don't quite know where to look on the net for injury updates, I quite often want to know and have never worked out which sites are useful. If anybody has some tips let me know.

And yes he is as valuable as CP. Maybe he always was but it seems like he is all the more this season. I am sure that could be cause for some debate and you boy can get your stats out;)

I haven't heard anything about tests yet, but this article mentions that after the game it felt better than it did when it happened. BG: "It just scared me not knowing exactly what it was, or what that feeling was...I haven't felt that before. Like I said, I can put full weight on it without....

Kind of scary with what happened to Blake there. I was hoping it was a tweaked ankle but replays didn't show that. Hopefully he will be fine as he says he seems to be. What a great game by him- terrific energy, quickness on offense & played some good D also. BTW that Plumlee kid kind of reminds me of Blake a bit with a similar style of relentlessness around the basket.

Props to JJ Redick as well. He started hot and finished off with some big shots in the 4th as well- excellent game. Good game by DJ with 9-16-5, but our small forward positions didn't fare too well in Dudley (zero point, 1 rebound) & Barnes (2 points, 4 fouls). CP was off again w/ his shot, but made some big shots down the stretch as usual. Good to see Mullens have a good game making all his shots, including a pair of 3's. Jamal was a bit too careless with the turnovers but did hit some big shots in the 4th.

Tough game coming up vs Memphis- it will be interesting to see how this new Doc Rivers-lead Clipper team fare against its bitter playoff foe.
