Not trying to be negative, but I am curious what other people who follow this team think. Based on what I have been seeing, it feels like a lot of ISO and jump shots. We were originally looking like the spurs and getting a lot of easy baskets (we just bricked a bunch). Now I'm just getting he feeling like we might set a pick, but it is a lazy one and we don't have any secondary or tertiary steps to get players wide open in a high percentage shot. I feel like we are reverting to Vinny era. You cannot makeshift serious run In the post season solely shooting jumpers (unless maybe you have Steph curry). We can't get anywhere near that level of consistency.

Can't even talk about defense. I feel like we give up layups and dunks every play. We can beat bad teams or "playoff" teams, but I worry about our offense regressing against elite defenses. I'm now firmly of the opinion that this roster will never cut it defensively. Barnes isn't the answer (is it just me or does he have a hard time keeping his hips square?)

That is all, wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the offense?

Simply put no. Offense has never been an issue.

It feels like a of passing along the perimeter culminating In a jumper. We have a lot of talent and our starters play way more minutes, so we still get points.

We went inside plenty last game. The problem was guys weren't finishing and the Thunder were getting away with hacking us with no calls. Even if they were called for fouls DJ and BG aren't exactly great FT shooters.

The Thunder did a very good job preventing easy buckets. Have to remember that it was a B2B too. Our team was clearly tired.

Barnes was out and Dudley is still injured. The issue is defense. We will always be able to score for the most part.

Our offense seems to go how our backcourt goes. If CP3 is going nuts (like against Golden State), then it makes things easy for everytone. If CP3 is cold from the field or lacking aggression, we need JJ to come out firing to provide some offensive flow. If both are having great games, our offense will run smoother than silk!

That's what you do, play your best players with reasonable minutes and you will get those results.

I think it's way to early to make this thread.

Truthfully our offense is looking good. Guys are missing open shots. period.

There is tremendous off the ball movement and guys are bricking.

This looks nothing like vinny's offense. where we just stand around unless it's a fast break.

Defense is our problem.

Well technically in the playoffs, that is what ends up happening, but the bench last year wasn't really "good" on offense, they just defended so well that their almost okay offense was better than the opposition was able to produce against them.

While in basketball you need to score, it is always relative, you just need to score more than your opponent. Whether you do it by defending so well that you can out score your opponent with below average offense or scoring so well that you only need decent defense and the opponent can't match is irrelevant, just that you can consistently do it.

Considering how Paul's shot has been off, the offense has looked good and is still 2nd best in the league. Btw, there's a misconception that isolation is bad. Isolation isn't bad, it's just when you have isolation with zero action, stagnant isolation. If you get the defense moving to set up a play that ends in isolation, there's no problem with that.

When people make jumpers like they did today, obviously we will score. I do not think a jump shooting team can win a championship, we need to start scoring points in paint too. Nevertheless, was a fun game.

Hard to compare any team to the heat, they have the best player in the world who can do everything. Gives them an entirely different look than any other team.

My answer would be ,no. I would like to see them crash the boards a bit more but I mean, what are we number 2 in the league in scoring? Hard to fault that no matter how it happens, inside or outside.

Defense scares the heck out of me though.

PS: I know we get banners ads here based on what people do searches on,but man a lot of you guys are looking for single Asian women, wow, the number one banner ad (that and Fry's).

If you are shopping around for a motorbike on your computer you will get motorbike ads but some time ads come up that are weird and unrelated to your searches too.

Our defense mostly looks bad because of the pace we play at. We can't possibly score this much AND hold players under 90

13th in ORB% isn't bad really, a bit above average. The team has been good in controlling fast-break points.

Austin, you are right, we shouldn't be measuring defense by opponent PPG, it is flawed because of pace. Still, on a per possession basis, the defense only ranks 22nd and the defense issue isn't fast-break points, it is breakdown in half court defense. So it is poor because it has been poor, but it has also been on an upward trend.

Our offense is a work in progress. Much of it will be built around BG's ability to hit a jump shot. There is a reason Doc has BG shooting a lot. Unfortunately Mullens so far has been a bust so it hurts our second unit. Remember however Antwan has shown he can still ball. Patience.

BTW speaking of single Asian women. They're great except for one thing. I had a girlfriend from Vietnam. She often drove on the wrong side of the street and one from Japan who wrecked two cars. NEVER LET THEM DRIVE

Is this racist? probably but what would you do if you knew there were an 80 year old Chinese woman coming toward you in a very large car? Would you feel safe on your front porch?

I think they drive on the same side as we do, in Vietnam. I found your comments ignorant and racist.
