Is it true that Blake has hit 12 straight free throws? I just read that somewhere.

I think at this point Doc wants to hold Dudleys confidence at a average level at least until JJ or Barnes is back. I know there should be some worry about will Bullock be quick enough or what will we do full bench but its worth a shot. This team just comes out the gate so slow I think trying something different early may be worth trying once.

Also would give us another look being bigger in the backcourt on defense and additional rebounding.

Great win by our squad. Bullock had a solid contribution offensively. With his rebounding and defense Reggie can be groomed to take over the SF spot. I didn't get to watch the game (wouldn't have even if i could-hate the dirty bears), but was Bullock mostly in at SF or SG?

TERRIFIC defensive intensity by the Clippers tonight. The shots were not falling in the first half, but the defense kept the Clippers pretty much even. Then the guys finally got it going in the 3rd, and then, reminiscent of last season, the bench came in and finished things off in the 4th.

Good games all around- Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and an especially good bounce-back game for DeAndre Jordan. He guarded Zach Randolph and pretty much shut him down. Added bonus- he hit 2 FT's! 10 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks, and a massive +32 in the +/- column. Dudley actually had a decent game despite missing some 3's. He hit some mid range shots and was more active defensively, drawing two charges.

But what a job by the bench. It did a solid job last night, but this game the guys were extra sharp. The speedy Collison with 15 points despite missing 2 layups, Jamal looked like Jamal, Jamison played his stretch 4 role perfectly, & Bullock, like Antawn, hit *3* 3's as well. They were certainly very active defensively themselves like the first unit.

Certainly you don't expect the Clippers to shoot so well in the second half every night, but if the defensive intensity continues like tonight, tough games will be within range for the taking instead of last night being down by so much due to poor D, and not ever able to catch up.

Excellent strategy by Doc Rivers, and kudos to the bigs for executing. You help and Memphis will send cutters and hurt you badly that way. This allowed the wings to prevent drives better & force the Grizz to shoot well from the outside- obviously not their strength.

I gotta believe Doc had something to say to DJ after that last effort against Atlanta. I'm sure he said something to everyone but DJ was atrocious. Comes back to have one of his best games. The thing is, we've seen him have great games against Memphis before. Like that last game at Memphis at the end of the season, which helped give us home court advantage.

It doesn't erase it. You're right about that, but what it does is provide just enough hope that this team and its season are still alive. Had we lost this one then it would usher in panic time

It was an ugly loss though. Certainly not the worst, but it was bad. Those are the type of games we will look back and regret we lost because they may be the difference between us getting an easy matchup in the playoffs against a low tier team or having to play as the 4th seed against a tough 5th seed like last year.

Repped High Quality Post

Man, people are so quick to panic. I don't know why there's this idea that good teams never loose to "not so good" teams, or that a team doesn't have bad nights. Can't really go pour gasoline on yourself and light a match because it happens once in a while. The sky is falling after bad performances are so weird.

Miami for example just lost to Chicago by 20 and lost to Detroit by 10 the other night. Imagine some were Heat fans during the first big three year when they were at like .500 18-20 games in. Some people might have had a heart attack.

Only listened to the first half on radio, so i was VERY pleased to see the final score. It truly was a tale of 2 halves. We actually played defense and held a team to under 85 points. Lets hope this continues in Cleveland.

I'm glad we got to rest most of our starters for the 4th quarter. Not to mention both Collison and Bullock played well. It's good to see Collison playing well. He was one of my favorite players at UCLA.

I hope we can play this well on D Saturday, I like Blake and CP3 getting their rest (even though I want them to get their numbers selfishly).

Don't even get me on UCLA, if only Aflalo had stayed his Senior Year, OMG, Collison, Love Aflalo,Luc Richard with Westbrook and Matta off the bench, can you say 2007-2008 National champions.

Equally you don't expect us to shoot so badly in the 1st half every night.

Our D was good last night but there O was pretty bad too. I know the two are directly related but they just seemed to be pretty stagnant in general.

Do any of you guys know anything about Josh Kroenke, He does stuff at the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche and the Aspen Thunderwarriors. Because he has just been appointed to the board of the Soccer team I support (Arsenal)

I know it is off topic but I didn't know where to put it.

The Clips seems to be very sensible. Some good moves and BANG confidence is growing + 75% and suddenly all Clips realize that they are much better then those groggy Grizzlies. Okay except Hollins wink Good that CP3 was a fantastic leader in 3rd quarter!

Seriously. This game was pretty ugly too if you think about the halftime score and how bad we were up until then. I said the first team to start shooting like a real team would win and that was us,but at halftime it was a toss-up.

Just happy we locked it down defensively. If we played our usual half assed defense we could have loss.

I wish we could get better rebounding on the wings fromGreen and Dudley. It woulf be a step forward on our defense if we committed better there.

Yep I have not seen a worse rebounding starting forward than Jared Dudley. He is not only terribl athletically but also fundamentally, he does these fake box out that make me sick.

Good grind out win for the team, love how the bench came in and really out the pressure on after we had the lead. 3 point shots won't always fall like that but it had to help out our shooters confidence. Especially love Reggie's quick release and mid height arc. They are like heat seekers, once he gets more confident he is going to be deadly from outside especially if he can start to drive!

Yeah , I've been waiting for Reggie's 3's to start dropping. I think it was rookie nerves and limited mins (finding it hard to get a rythym) that has affected his shot up till now.

Interestingly enough I've always felt that being able to win "ugly" games was a good thing. Never a bad thing to be able to show resilience on a night when shots aren't falling or things aren't going as well as you would like early.

Ugly wins really as good wins in themselves.
