I looked at their forum and saw lots of homophobic slurs too. Also, I laughed when I saw all the "tbh" - spurs fans at staples are also always irritating. The organization is classy though, you are right.

Please, let have Kobe + Melo + Swaggy P be teammate for the Lakers. It will be so entertaining to watch.

For the game, B. Griffin reminded me the guy he was during his rookie year. Humble, collected, and dominate.

'nuff said. Why didn't they deny Blake the ball or at least double early. Nobody could stop him one on one. Was it "Pick your poison", BG or Jamal?

Did anybody watch shoot around where DJ hit around half of his corner bank shots?

For Real!

Yeah I noticed that. Even NBATV had a surprising lack of Griffin highlights. How do you not even show Blake's coast-to-coast rebound/run the break/spining layup/run back to draw the charge sequence? Hell, just the spin move alone?

I'm so pissed Right now, I waited like 30 minutes to an hour and we get no love from NBA TV or ESPN, like we just dominated the Spurs, Blake Just dominated on D and Offense, DJ was incredible, I want more than we got....... OH well, I'm probably willing to bet we gets no love from "good old Skip" on first take, we need more love "damn it", Tony Parker had to get hurt to, that's what he gets for flopping though.

Best win of season, zero complaints. Loved the attitude! When Spurs cut lead multiples there was no pouting or meltdown. Guys were focused and played their hearts out. Very proud! If we can string this attitude/focus together more and more... sky is the limit.

As usual with home games I didn't get to watch any, so I went to bed and woke up to a W. Amazing, really really pleased. And I guessed the right score for the Spurs.

Did we win it cos Parker got injured? What's the story?

No surprise. We don't get attention when we win against the big teams but people make a huge deal when we lose.

Nah, our defense swarmed Parker. He was a non-factor. Left the game mostly out of embarrassment. Surprised he didn't try to take the ball with him.

Parker was a non-factor. He got injured due to an illegal screen set by Hollins but yea he was playing poorly(we shut him down) so we would have won even if he played.

I can't believe it. A very nice segment on First Take about this game (not even one of those B.S. quick takes). Tim Legler was a guest and believes the Clippers are one of the 4 contenders in the West. They all agreed Parker's injury didn't matter. Stephen A's only question regarding the Clippers as a contender was DJ's free throw shooting. But even Skip said "the Doc factor kicked in last night". He said it was a tour de force by the Clippers and the best they've played from start to finish. He never really said whether or not he thought the Clippers were a contender as he seemed more interested in talking about his Spurs concerns. But he did nod agreeably when Legler made his case.

Didn't you get the memo that all that matters is how many points you score?

Now, being fair, I not blaming the loss on Carmelo, there was a lot of bad coaching going on there, and he scored 32 points on 20 shots, so it wasn't a shot jacking points padding exhibition.

That still doesn't mean the execution at the end was acceptable though.

The one strategy I'm liking is let the opposition hack and get you in the bonus, take DJ out, then just go to Paul in the mid-post for the rip through. It will make the intentional foul backfire on them cause Chris Paul shooting FT's is definitely not what they are aiming for.

We've won the last 4 of 5, Matt Barnes is hopeful to suit up on Wednesday according to Rotoworld, and Redick is getting out of his cast early. The tide is turning folks.

C'mon now, he's arguably been our best defensive player all year and definitely has had a big impact defensively on this game. I know you wanted to get rid of him for a bag of chips and continually ragged on him in the off season but it's time to move on and just admit that you were way off base and be happy that we held on to him. He is in the discussion for MIP and it's mostly because he's getting the minutes he deserves.

CJ has said that DJ has been better this season. He does get loss sometimes but its to be expected. Learning an entirely new defensive system isn't easy.

Like Jahvon said, Doc thoroughly out coached Pop. It was almost to the extent, that this might have been one of those games that Pop sort of wanted to lose. He purposely loses about 3-4 games a year, either sitting guys who aren't hurt, or just taking the night off and watching them squirm to let the players know they're not infallible. I'll choose to believe it was just a great win by our guys and great coaching job by our bench but we'll have some dogfights with that team in the next few months and I doubt we'll beat them by 25pts. again.

Tend to believe that Portland will fall apart at some point so we're chasing two teams who are still 4 games ahead of us. But as long as we do better than 4th seed, I think we have a good chance to win 3 PO series this year assuming Blake and CP don't break down at the end of the season like has happened the past two times around.

We need to win these 3 upcoming home games. 11-2 over the next 13games until Redick gets back should be the goal. Two tough back-to-backs coming up at GS/Por then Dal/SA. Figure we split those games winning the front end and we should win the other 9 games during the next 2 1/2weeks. A lot of home games, a lot of bad teams.

Redick gets back to play the laughingstock of the league at home and after 4 off days of practice, probably Melo will be demanding trade by then and Vinny will be their coach. We come up with the first shut out in NBA history. Then another 7 game trip to the east and it should be a lot different this time around. Great thing for us, as long as we're in striking distance by the last day of January, it's pretty much smooth sailing from there. We'll only have 13 more road games for the 2nd half of the season.

If Blake is going to always be in CP3's shadows, than CP3 himself won't ever be an MVP because it's his job to make his teammates play to their full potential and Blake's potential is being an MVP candidate or winner in 3 or so years.

CP3 runs this team and he'd look pretty bad if an Elite PF teammate in his prime can't crack the MVP ladder.

The best part of this game was that the Clippers played with energy for 48 minutes. I has been very frustrating to me to watch them stand around on defense on this last road trip, and for many prior games. It always seems like they are saving their energy for the fourth quarter. Except that by that time it is too late. In this game our players were active and in their face all game. Feet were always moving on defense. I don't know if we can keep this level of energy up in the future, or at least a significant amount of it, but I hope so. This is the kind of play that leads to long winning streaks.

I feel like Portland is us from last year, don't think they will completely fall apart but come down to earth. I think their rebounding numbers of Lopez and/or Aldridge will drop down a bit because I really don't think of either of them as great rebounders (but I haven't watched them that much either). I like a lot of the players they have, I'm not the biggest fan of Batum but other than that like the majority of their players and think they got a good squad. It will be nice to see what they look like when they meet some adversity.

I think we will continue to improve, I've been impressed with our defense and the continued improvement of DJ and Blake on that end. I'd like to see Jamison play a little better, but think that might be expecting too much. I like Jackson as a small ball 4, I think if you play Jackson there and Barnes at the 3 you can run a small ball line up without losing too much on the rebounding end. If you add Bullock to the two you can still have a rebounding advantage over most small line ups.

I'm hoping this is Blake's coming out game, the game where he takes it to the next level. I think there is quite a few of us that have been wanting to play the way he did in this game for quite a while. He was decisive and took the ball to the whole as well as taking what the defense gave him. He did it even when Timmy was on him, so I was very impressed. This could be the first of many games that lead to Blake entering superstardom.

I didn't have a good feeling going into the game. I thought about putting money down on the spurs -3 but luckily did not. It was nice to see Blake be in attack mode most of the game. That rebound, ran full court, spin in the lane and hook it in on duncan was awesome. I really liked how Doc let DJ have it after DJ got a tech and didn't stop complaining. The calls were going the spurs way to begin the 2nd half but Jamal really stepped up and knocked down some big 3s. Jared Dudley was stroking it, back to back games now, keep it up Jared.

that's the thing, if cp3 is out, blake won't have as good of a game, hence cp3 being the most "valuable" player.

if blake is out, cp3 can still be the best player on the court -- not vice versa

So True.

I know we rarely say this but Blake is only 24 years old, he's been so good this early in his carrier that we haven't even given him the chance to play like a young player and young player's are inconsistent and blake as efficient as he's been is still an inconsistent young player so of course he's going to be in the shadow of a player considered top 3 top 5 in the NBA and #1 at his position by every body with a brain (this means Barkley is out). In 3 to 4 years that will of course change but for now Blake should be in CP3's Shadow.

I don't know if there'll be minutes for everyone once Barnes comes back. But yeah I guess I could see Jackson being a fill-in for a few minutes at the 4. But it's inevitable that he gets waived by January 10th (the date his contract becomes fully guaranteed) barring that we have some SFs to play with.

Barnes tweeted he was going to his exam a couple hours ago. Haven't heard much since. Figure he would have tweeted good news immediately so...

Doc will probably wait till Jan to decide, but if Dudley does need some time off maybe he will keep Jackson. But we still need a decent back up C.
