Good going, Clips. Takes a hell of a team to beat the refs.

@kevinarnovitz: Rick Adelman declines to speak to the media. "It's a tough loss. That's all I've got to say. I don't want to get fined." /exits.

Foul trouble killed him. At the beginning of the third quarter he was just ball watching maybe because he's scared to get pick up another foul

This I noticed it as well I think he will have somewhat a bigger impact but similar role to Grant Hill last year.

Seriously, the refs did their best for him, what the hell does he have to complain about???

Seriously! We were the ones playing 8 on 5! Refs even ejected Barnes for a hard foul which had no business being a flagrant 2.

On a sidenote: Marc Davis' is a b1tch! Glad we got the W though, CLIPPERNATION!!!

GSWs + Portland b2b. Now that is tough. 1/1 would be ok considering those circumstances though 2/0 would be super nice. Very Happy

Two tough games on the road and B2B make them even tougher. Hope we can win 2, realize wining 1 is more realistic and I won't be shocked if we go 0-2. Sad

Clips are looking all business lately. If we get through these 2 road games, a long streak looks plausible.

Yep. Think of our comeback win against the Griz where we had a 27 point comeback. Also the Heat comeback against the Spurs in game 6 or T-Mac's 13 points in 35 seconds. Stranger things have happened.

I rarely give up hope if its fairly close.

I don't want love to go to lakers bc blake probably wouldn't be an all star starter.

Yup well said. I still remember that 27 point comeback like it was yesterday. Our Clippers team never gives up which is something i can always tip my hat to. Still hyped over the win tonight!!!

That would be a real smart move by the Lakers, unfortunately the team is now run by Jimbo Buss. Look for them to sign Melo, lol.

Man I don't know how much the refs were betting on the T'Wolves to win, but the Clippers overcame a crap load of iffy calls for an improbably victory. Love gets 3 FT's at the end of the first half (should have been just 2), Barnes getting kicked out on a hard foul (should have been a regular or a flagrant 1 at the most), Love elbowing a gash in Blake's head & not even a consideration for flagrant, and icing Chris Paul there at the end of OT with his FT tries. Despite ALL of that, the Clippers came back and won- unbelievable.

You tip your hat off to Kevin Love & Nickola Pekovic for great games, but when it mattered the most, the Clippers stepped up big. CP w/ the huge steal to tie the game, then a bunch of tip-outs by DJ, Jared Dudley with that gigantic 3 in OT, and a couple of barely-stops vs Pekovic inside to seal it. BG had an excellent game before he fouled out, CP3 was off but made big plays when it counted, Jamal hit 4 treys, Collison was big with 18 off the bench, & Dudley of course with that big 3, & +12 in +/- to lead the team. DJ could not stop Pekovic, but his rebounding was big time, especially in OT.

So man what a team effort tonight. The refs were awful, but if the Clippers had shot a little better, rebounded & defended a little better in regulation.... Nonetheless, the result was thrilling & satisfying, and a great send off to the road trip coming up.

I see Love on their team before too long. The "fit" just seems too right. Not that I'm sweating... we'll be the better team for years to come.

Thing is, Barnes is a very good rebounder for a SF and we surely could have used his rebounding and help defense against the bigs. Can't underestimate that. Thanks again, refs? I gotta believe they will look at this in the next day or so and downgrade it.

If I'm a T Wolves fan, I'm wondering how Pek and Love combine for 33 rebounds and 79 points and still lose....oh wait, if I'm a T Wolves fan I would've probably off'd myself years ago, nevermind.

Wish you luck. wink

At this rate, even if either of them make the playoffs, they won't be playing the Clippers in round 1. Clippers would get Houston if the playoffs was today. Minny would be 10h and Memphis 13th.

Then again, the Clippers are closer to Portland and OKC than it seems. I'd like to see them fighting for a top 3 spot, and either of those teams could sneak into 7 or 8.

I remember that- on the replay you can see it clearly; should have been an and-1, and the Clippers may well have won it in regulation if the whistle blew. So an iffy non-call there.

Wow that was a crazy win!!! Glad we were able to pull it out it was looking like game over! Thank good da's Barnes move didn't sink the ship!

Now we just need to make sure Barnes doesn't make anymore boneheaded plays. It was a flagrant 1 IMO by the way he fouled him with his body and other hand. He just needs to play more under control emotionally, as mentioned above we could really have used his defense and rebounding.

Could be worse... they could be laker fans. At least Minny fans don't "import" titles won for a different city as their own.

I don't even think it's a flagrant 1. Not when it's obviously going for the ball. Oh, it was a hard foul but still going for the ball. The old days, that's not even close to a flagrant.

Yep, it feels good to know we could potentially be a success story for other franchises to look to us as hope.

And for what it's worth I was actually a T Wolves fan before ever being a Clips fan even though it was brief.

Starters are voted by the fans. No way love gets the Fan vote over Blake.

Yeah....means they'd "only" have a measly 11 titles, lol. Franchise is a franchise no matter where they originate from.

Man please! What do you want him to do? Maybe blow him a kiss next time he goes to the lane?

I've seen blaked get hammered 10times harder than that and no flagrant.

Not really my point. I'd wager 1 in 3 people who call themselves laker fans wouldn't even know the origin of the name, whereas Minnesota fans have a claim to 5 championships they never talk about.

Besides... we've seen how a model franchise can be turned to a pile of expensive dogshit overnight due to a change in ownership, so basically, a franchise where everything but the name has changed is just a name.

Believe it or not they weren't actually named after the Minnesota lakes

They were actually named after a particular boat that used to sail around lake superior

I was at the game and WOW, what a night! Yeah, the refs were bad, but really all the egregious calls were from Marc Davis. We all remember him from the playoffs 2 years ago against Memphis, right? He must have an agenda against the Clips.

There was a little bit of NBA Finals Game 6 improbability with the way we caught up at the end. A sizable amount of fans had left just a few minutes before the Clips somehow sent it to OT. During OT, the atmosphere was electric. Felt like a roller coaster with all the ups and downs, then Dud's big 3 made the place explode, before CP3's final two FTs sealed it. Easily the most excitement I've ever had at Staples, and one of those special nights where you feel really lucky to have witnessed such an improbable Clippers comeback victory... Love this team!
