Man that game was so frustrating. We definitely need Redick back to help and bullock will be nice as well.

Dudley has put up three bad games in a row and looks like his playing is back in the toilet. Hopefully he can get his confidence and play more aggressive on the defensive and offensive end.

Tyler Hansbrough the football player as a backup big for example would help in a game like this just to getting more FT's and getting opposition bigs in foul trouble. He has a move called truck the opposition where he generally gets FT's.

Oh, Dudley was terrible tonight, did he even do anything

If I had to take 2 things from this:

  1. we played them close on a back-to-back.

  2. we can definitely defeat any powerhouse in this league.

This is the team I love. Show hearts and fought. This is the Clippers I fell in love many years ago. Sucks for the loss, but great game!

You think it's the personnel? And how many 3's did the Blazers made tonight? A sh*tload, and they missed a ton of open ones as well.

Well they attempted 36 and were under their season percentage, so the 3PT defense itself wasn't horrible, but allowing 36 attempts obviously isn't what you want, but Portland really tried to get them up

If we can play our game and play with our heads on straight we can beat any team

plenty to be mad about, we should have won the game in regulation and given what happened last nights game this one is like a kick in the balls

Jamal had some moments, but he's kinda sucked in the starting lineup. Redick back will help in that his presence will be about +2-4 points to make up the difference in games like this.

What I like about the Clips is that they attacked the paint. we only made 8 threes, but kept in the game by attacking. How long can one time actually sustain jump shots?

PLS you give portland to much credit, regardless of their record i don't even consider them a top 3 WCF team, we almost won despite the majority of our team playing utter shiet

Its mostly defensive system to be honest unless you mean last year's team with Doc as coach. However, to say that last year's team could beat this very good Blazers team at home on a b2b? Not so sure about that even with Doc at the helm.

Last season we gave up many wide open 3s. Even bad teams shot 50% from 3 on us. So yea.... The Blazers normally shoot around 40% from 3 so we did hold them below their averages. They are just ridiculous at shooting the 3. The best in the league. They have so many good shooters so they usually are going to shoot well from 3 especially at home with plenty of rest.

Repped High Quality Post
EVERYONE I THINK FAILS TO REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT REDICK IS! You know those 20+ point games Jamal has been getting? Yeah he got those when he was on the bench too! JJ Redick gave us....

Yeah, I think I did give them too much credit. come to think of it, they only look good when they actually male their jumpshots.

We would've won if JJ was healthy. I'm not afraid of Portland.

Definitely. We would have won these two games with Redick most likely. A backup big would also help. A drugged up Odom looks tempting at this point....

I agree the honeymoon with Crawford starting is over. He definitely should start in redicks absence but redick needs to start. This game was so brutal. I hope we don't plummet in standings. But this blazers team was like is last December. Let's see how they do after break.

On the Raptors making $3M, but seems like they are playing Patrick Patterson over him as the primary backup to Amir Johnson.

Yes- I said last year's squad. Basically our starting SF would not have ZERO point, and our bench was far superior than this years obviously. Seeing how this game transpired, I'm pretty confident that last season's personnel would have won this game under Doc Rivers.

I can finally see the difference between Doc and Vinny's defensive set. Yes, we give up some a lot of 3's, ,but at least this year team were able to close down the shooter lot better than last year.

Yup, IMO Portland reminds me of our team last year. I don't see how they can win a 7 game series unless every possible thing is clicking for them offensively. They can't stop a playoff team defensively.

That being said, they played better than us tonight and won fair and square (minus a couple of bad calls)

Not worried. Close game in a B2B. Portland is a good team, and the game was amazing. Yeah, losing hurts, but the schedule softens as tissue paper in the 2nd half, like Denvers last year.

Well, I'm happy with most of the effort. I think Paul, Blake and JC came to play. Barnes put up solid numbers but seems like he made an unusual amount of blunders. DJ's rebounding was stellar as usual. He made a huge block down the stretch, but also made some terrible defensive decisions against LMA. Dudley was kinda terrible.

I tell you what, I can't wait to get JJ back.

I'm still in disbelief we lost...I thought we had it when we were up three. I feel for the guys.

Yes, they out played us, but they also got 5 lucky points off buckets that were banked in. I doubt that was intentional. Not mention, if we hadn't played in Oakland last night, we would've won some those loose balls that we kept losing tonight.

Oh well. The schedule will get easier later in the season. We'll make a run in the second half of the year and improve our seeding.

Wow! So many missed layups. Just one of those going in could have made a difference. Then again, Portland missed a bunch of open jumpers they'd usually make (aside from the couple of fluke bank shots they made from range).

They looked a lot quicker than us in the first half, but then they would after 4 days rest compared to something like 14 hours after travel. Props to CP3 and Blake for carrying us, and to Jamal and Collison for solid minutes. Our team looked tired (50/50 balls), but adrenalin fueled those 4 guys in the 2nd half and OT. Just a little more from any one other guy and the result could have been different.

Can't be mad at tonight's effort, the refs or the Blazers. They're playing straight up basketball (not bullsh!t gamesmanship) and I respect Aldridge's game WAY more than Kevin Love's because he plays like a PF who can shoot, not a shooter who happens to be 6'10". I'm rooting for Portland a little, because the higher they finish in the standings means just one more team we would beat in 7 games and because if by some chance they win their division and we're tied with OKC and atop the Pacific, leading your division is the first tiebreaker after head-to-head.

Good game, Portland. We'll murder you at Staples. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_45 Gives thy a finger Nasty

I really feel that barnes was not a good investment. We are old and unathletic at the wing. Barnes seems to miss a lot of layups and basically struggles to finish. There has to be someone better.

We gave up a ton the last three games, not just tonight. I don't think we are giving up rebounds due to tiredness. It seems systematic. It's why we lost the last two games (aside from the refing last game), and why we almost lost to the wolves.

All in all, proud of the way this team has played lately. With all the adversity, I am proud of their effort.

Wrongfully tossed of games in back to back.

Dirty tactics by other team.

An elbow to Griffin that left a mark.

JJ out (as well as Bullock).

Disrespect towards Black Griffin...ehem i mean Blake Griffin.

And I bet Paul is dying inside over missing that game winner tonight after the blown layups last night. I wished he had made it but I appreciate his effort

I hate to blame one person for our loss but it really is Dudley's fault. He's a below. Average defender and he's been cold as f*ckk!!!

We need to do what the spurs and okc have been doing, turning mediocre talent to great talent aka, nick collision,

Kwai Leonard, Danny green , etc.

I predict someway somehow Dudley is gone at the trade deadline.

Id throw anyone in their except griffin Paul and now Jordan to get rid of him

Crawford killed it this game.

Crawford has been nice in the starting lineup. JJ should come off the bench like he has his entire career.

We have been giving up too many offensive rebounds recently, but the back to back definitely didn't help tonight. The fact that the Blazers hadn't played since Saturday just compounded the problem. On most nights we would've found a way to win this game despite losing some loose balls.

I thought Barnes played equally as bad or maybe even worse. Barnes looked lost tonight and made so many dumb errors.

No, the offense flow better with JJ on starting line up. If you notice the ball movement.
