Do we really need Wayns? We need backup big not a guard.

No, it means he took his own spot back. With Jacko's waive its at 14 currently.

I guess we need Wayns back because when DC almost went down last night, Doc realized we'd be screwed?

At this point, anyone going down is bad news.

Signing Malik wayans again might be the dumbest move ever. I have no idea what team doc is watching but we have too many guards!!!!

What's the risk for Miami? That they don't play? They won a championship without those guys, so there's no risk

No it's back to 15 because of Darius Morris. But I though Wayns can barely walk still? This is stupid. Collison plays 38mins and somebody else takes the other 10. Why are we going 3 deep at PG when we have multiple ball handlers at SG???

I do not get this **** and bynum goes to Miami and starts tearing it up, it's a damn travesty for the league. At least we have a need, for them it's just not fair.

Doc has the worst taste in players. We will never improve signing scrubs. Maybe they think okafor will be available?

We don't have multiple ball handlers at SG. We have one. JC.

With Chris and JJ out I could see why we signed Morris (Though I'd rather have tinsley).

Why we resigned Wayns to fill the 15th slot which means we can't

sign anyone for at least 10 days I have no clue.

Doc must know something we don't.

I'll just trust and see.

If a guy we are signing on a 10 day contract is the difference between us winning it all or not, we are screwed.

I would guess the plan is to weather the storm until CP3 gets back with some PGs on 10 days, then grab a big next month.

It's 14. SJAX and Wayns waived brought it to 13. Darius Morris brought it to 14. Wayns yet to be signed again.

Why waste a roster spot for somebody who may be redundant? Maybe they're betting that one of them will fizzle. Aren't they well over the cap? His salary is chump change though assuming they have a roster spot open and don't waive anybody. If they waive somebody it's a wash, more likely. I don't know the answer to this. Even if they won a championship are these guys what they need to get better or a waste of pine?

please no more Malik if he won't even play. We need a PF/C

I guess unless they were going to fill the roster spot with a player that would get significant minutes, it doesn't make a difference for them.

Their search for a big body is to prevent themselves from being destroyed by Roy Hibbert. Hibbert is average against everyone else but then magical against Miami.

Clippers don't have as much of a need f a guy who is big just for the sake of being big, but we just need someone that can play maybe just below average to average basketball at PF/C

In other words it's worth the ability to throw two broken big bodies against him hoping they won't collapse. There is something to be said for this especially since MIA and IND are pretty much the East.

Unfortunately Mullens and Jamison ain't happening. Maybe Jamison will get better. Hollins is doing OK. DJ hurt. We're screwed

I've been trying to block it out too. It's not working, kind of like his jumpshot.

Yea, basically, they have their 8 man playoff rotation, and their 14th and 15th men are irrelevant except for when it comes to dealing with Hibbert where a big body is useful.

clippyclip, hey, just having realistic expectations. Can't really expect to sign / acquire a big man right now (without trade) and have them be a "good" player, but considering the current backups are playing like bad players, a guy just floating around the average range would be an upgrade.

Redick will be back in a couple games, maybe even by Friday. He can play the point for a few minutes a game. Willie can too. I'd rather see either of those guys out there as the PG vs. Morris or Wayns.

In particular I can see JJ playing pick-n-roll with Blake. He's made quite a few nice pocket passes to Dwight Howard in their Orlando days.

Getting an "average" big man would be a huge upgrade to what we have now in the back up big dept. Hope it happens soon.

Cause they are 10 day contracts. I think re-signing Wayns is a terrible idea however even for a 10 day contract. Did not see anything good from him in the short time he played for us.

X100 man. We need a Big for the playoffs. I rather take our lumps now and have everyone healthy and Bynum as a back up during the playoffs. Low post prescence is needed and Bynum can give that for stretches.

I don't question his talents at all nor his ability to buy in. The guy did win multiple championships.

I'll take a Bynum on the cheap to back up Jordan.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on. It's like Doc really wants to stretch Blake and DJ to their limits, while surrounding them with a multitude of wings. I get Morris, because DC needs a backup while Paul is out. I suppose I get Wayns...should anything happen to one of the other PG's. But why another wing? Is Doc sending a message to Dudley and Barnes? What gives?

Seems like a big like Bynum is more important at this stage, but what do I know?

I dunno either but Doc has been making a lot of questionable moves.... Mullens, Hollins, Jamison as our bigs....

If I had my way...my back up bigs would be 2 former Clippers. Kaman and Evans. 2 guys that would contribute greatly to our team but instead are being poorly utilized (if utilized at all) on their current teams.

any other news one this? bynum was waived by the bulls, yes?

so does that mean he's worth pennies?

will he even perform? has he been performing?

I don't know about this one guys.... I mean he played well with the lakers but there's a reason even the lakers gave up on him. He's a basket case (some times). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens... if anyone knows any thing keep us posted... (i know you guys do)

I think he chooses us or heat.

With us he gets to play with the best pg in the nba feeding him the ball.

With heat he gets to play with the best player in the nba.

Which will make it easier for him to contribute without much pressure.

I think Thunder could scoop him up.They can offer him a lot of playing time and I think more money than the Heat,Clips,or Mavs. But don't know if they are even interested. If not it's between us and the Heat if he wants to join a contender. If he wants more playing time then I think the Heat and Mavs are his top choices.Either way I am not a fan of Bynum at all.Even if he didn't used to play for the Lakers,I wouldn't want him on the team.Maybe Doc can help his attitude but not likely.

I do not believe that a guy that was making 6.2 million a year with attitude problems being happy playing as a backup with 15-20 minutes a night. I think he will go with the team that is willing to pay him the most money. We can only offer the minimum.

Thunder presents the worst match up with us. They're more athletic from 1-4 and they neutralize DJ pretty well. If he's not gonna sign with the clippers, I'd rather him sign with the nets or any teams in the east

agree 100%. As I always say, professional athletes do not give a crap about where they play, it's how much they make. In the day they used to ,not in the 21st century.
