Bynum had one his best games of the season and we had bad game and we still outscored the Cavs when Bynum was on the floor. They did their damage to us we he was out and we did our down damage by missing a ton of shots (Paul 4-16, Griffin 3-12, Crawford 5-18, Green 4-13). Jordan had 12 points on 7 FGA, so he did get easy baskets.

Bynum consistently made the Cavs worse the entire time he was there.

Even if he do great against us, we can't just sign anyone who does good against with looking at how they do against everyone else, otherwise we'd have a team full Darko Milicic's and Michael Beasley's.

Darko and Beasley would both be upgrades at the bench 4 and 5. We truly can't go into the playoffs like this we will fail.

If Bynum was going to be our starting center, I'd agree with you.

He'll be playing limited minutes though, and the game slows down significantly in the playoffs.

He can play, that's not the question. The question is whether his attitude will have a bad effect on the team.

Doc might be waiting for L.O. he (lamar) was doing interviews at the golden globes saying he's ready and healthy and wants to return to the nba with the clippers. He also made a bold prediction saying that if we pick him up were going to take it all.

Please hell no to Odom take his skittle and crack behind to the Lakers. I rather take a chance on a new distraction over old and we did nothing with Odom last time.

With how much Guards kill us, having Bigs that can show off screens and stop penetration! Lamar and Ryan Can both show very effectively! Antawn Jamison and Byron Mullens can show, its the get back....

Just saw pictures of Lamar at the canyon doing a run and in his tuxedo at a event. He looks solid and you could tell that he has been working out. He does not look over weight at all.

If we can't get Bynum, LO is a good choice he can play PF and center. I hope no more "Kardishian" (Drugs)

Clips should just look for a PG that could dribble up the court, pass the ball and get the away from everyone else. If needed, shoot a 3's. Plus play a good defense would help.

Funny part the whole thing could be said about Odom.. People want to crap on Bynum for being a head case quitter yet look at Odom on the Mavs and that was a winning team. People crap on Baron for being out of shape but during a redemption year Odom came in bloated. We have no idea how his body will respond to NBA game time coming off drug recovery or the temptation while being on the road.

This biggest point even fat Odom was a better defender than the slim one because he had limited muscle. Lamar Odom is a major head case and he showed that he will be just as bad as our other bigs in scoring. I hope Doc moves away from Odom this team needs length in the West.

What form is it even? Last year Odom could not score to save his life and now he is older without training camp or playing any meaningful basketball half way through the season.

i think he's been working out since november when he met with doc rivers. i think that is enough time to get back in shape. he's probably in better shape right now than he was last year.

I think Odom and Bynum are both head cases and don't like eithers attitude. Odom's issues haven't seemed to affect the chemistry on the team in the past where Bynum has affected the chemistry to an unknown point in at least Cleveland. Let's not forget his I'm going to keep shooting three's time with the neighbors, and that our bigs laughed at him for it.

With all that said a fraction of the old Bynum is so much better than our current back up bigs, that it has to be at least considered. I'm not too worried about it, if Doc speaks to him and feels it's more trouble than it's worth I'm good with it.

Ivan Johnson is still in China, yeah I'm bringing it back. Let's go see who is going to be available from China if we are out of the Bynum race (even though it seems more like a light jog).

I guess the issues with Bynum were grander than I had imagined. I can understand us being hesitant to take him, but when he is getting no offers from teams then you know its bad. I guess all that is left now is Okafor or guys that are still in China

@PageC4 yeah, I know hindsight is 20/20 and that half of us on hear are going to be like I told you so. In reality I think it might work for some teams and not for others. I think Dallas is in a spot where they are a fringe playoff team, and they have enough veterans a top 5 coach and a superstar that can reign him in. I personally don't think we have enough veterans to reign a guy like Bynum in; maybe if we were going to keep Stak5.

I don't think he fits what Miami is doing, and think he will tear up Indiana's chemistry. I also think it would be hell of a gamble for us, but if Doc made it clear what his role and expectations are and would be then it could be a huge win. I think it would make Jkidd retire early, due to Russian death threats for going through any more adversity than needed.

The only reason I think he slightly would help us because of how bad our bench bigs are. I think 15 minutes a night for him can be a realistic expectation with us.

I agree with you. I just wonder what Doc's take on Bynum is. It must not be good since he flat out denied even being interested in Bynum. I think he was quoted as saying something along the lines of "I like our team." meaning "I'm not even considering Bynum because I'm content with what we have."

I just have to say that I'm puzzled that Doc isn't even focused on getting a backup big and he's giving ten day contracts to Morris, and Wayans.

He might be waiting on someone, having someone already in mind. I know there was that Shavlick guy that got some good minutes towards the end with him in Boston. I'm always a big Ivan Johnson fan and the Clips seemed to be one of a few teams with interest in him before he left for more money in China. There could also be Okafer. I think he knows he at least needs three legitimate bigs, Jamison not being one of them. Maybe they can check out Camby or really go all in on Odom.

Reverse psychology, my friend. Like saying to a kid, "No, you can't have these vegetables... they're mine".

If young master Bynum believes the team he is kicking and screaming to play for is rejecting him, it may just cause him to adjust that petulant attitude of his.

So Doc is playing poker, doing some reverse psychology, and working out players not named Bynum. LOL I think Doc is playing this right. We could potentially get Bynum for peanuts and he'll really want to play and behave. Add positive thinking to Doc's arsenal. LMAO

I'd rather have a player who know's the plays running the team rather than someone who doesn't. I'm sure we can get by with Jamal running the 2nd team as pg???

I don't think Turkoglu will run our offense anymore than Josh McRoberts runs the Bobcats offense, having the ability to pass some and initiate some plays here and there isn't the same as handing the whole offense over to them. McRoberts is probably a decent template of how we will attempt to use Turkoglu, a PF that plays up high on offense, moves the ball around, sets some picks and then tries to find some open space for threes while sacrificing some defense and rebounding on the other end of the floor. I think we were trying to use Stephen Jackson sort of like this as well, but he was terrible (as Turkoglu might be).

Josh McRoberts is a great example of what Hedo might be. He'll get you rebounds, assists, points...etc and if you don't pay attention close enough he might just be a game changer.

Hopefully Hedo will be just a little better offensively than McRoberts

Pacers signed him for cheap and now their Center position is pretty damn solid! We needed a back up center and we lost the chance. Why? Bynums attitude? I thought Doc could set him straight?

@WindhorstESPN: The Pacers gave Andrew Bynum $1 million for the rest of season from their mid-level exception, according to a source. BS. Money was never an issue. He would have played for LA if we brought....

We don't need any Small Forwards to win a championship. No team has

1-5 Great players. Our SF's are fine, they aren't even first

3 options on offense.

Now a backup big is another story. I have not complained about

Doc yet, but I can't understand anything short of narcotic influence

why we wouldn't bring bynum in for $1million, but will sign Hedo

for the rest of the season.

Pretty disappointing. Don't think he'll even be used that much in Cleveland. He'd make a much bigger impact on our team, and a make a much bigger statement for his next potential contract
