The 2 seasons prior to this outside of a few games Blake and CP never seemed to dominate as a duo. It was taking turns with good games and actually them playing better WITHOUT each other. This year their chemistry has taken a huge leap. I said the last 3 years they need to lead by example and finally they are.

Now we just need role players to step up and help outside of DJ. Redick and Bullock will be back within the next 2-3 weeks which will help. Point is Blake and CP3 are finally playing up to their potential and it's been beautiful.

They should only get better with some consistent outside shooting to open things up.

The sense of urgency kicked up from everyone once the Willie Green experiment failed. Jamal started and those two knew the bench scoring would be low.

Doc has awaken the rookie Blake and CP is playing like the MVP candidate back in 07.

A lot of this is the HUGE improvement to BG's game. His ft shooting is better and his jump shot is getting there. He was allowed to shoot corner threes. He's learning to deal with doubles in the post.

DJ is NOT a role player. When a guy is a top five rebounder who can give you 15 boards and has the Coach Nick Seal of Approval he's becoming a star.

If only our role players didn't play like scrubs. We would be 23-9 right now....

Kind of annoys me that our stars go beast mode and we still lose those road games because we got almost no production from our role players.

However, I can't wait to see what happens when everything is clicking. I hope that is soon.

CP3 gets some props for finding Blake in MUCH better spots this year. CP3 is now assisting on an asinine volume of Blake's FG's. DJ is a role player in the literal sense he's not a fullblown superstar/franchise player. Different degrees and I feel like he's on the cusp of being a full fledged star

I never said DJ is a superstar but he's gaining respect throughout the league and is recognized as a game changer. A budding star. If hit 60% of his FTs he'd be in consideration by some as an allstar.

It's not really fair to call our bench scrubs. Crawford is a bench player. Mat has been out and Collison has been playing well. Hollins is improving and is a net positive. (pun intended?) I wouldn't call Willie a scrub since he was a starter in our run last year and is doing OK. We have no PF and Antwan is playing like crap.

They might be playing like scrubs.

actually its BG that is emerging as the dominant force and leading this team, CP is playing at his usual high and competitive level

Other than some flashy dunks/lobs, still don't think the BG/CP3 really complement each other well. Right now, I just mostly see both of them having success individually.

Hoping Blake will have a reliable jumper by playoffs. David West/Paul pick n roll was unstoppable before.

Well I did say playing like scrubs. I know they are much more capable than that which is what is annoying me. Its one thing if they are not capable but they are quality players that just aren't contributing like they should right now. DJ is becoming a very good player but just not in the same convo as CP or Blake.

i don't think Antwan is getting enough playing time. they should give more minutes I'm pretty sure he'll get his rhythm back. he looked good in his first couple of games and that wasn't even him at 100%.

It is a long season but I am not worried about BG or CP3. We need a lot more production from our wings if we are going to compete in the playoffs.

A team has to have that dynamic duo if you think about all championship teams, ours are coming to fruition and it is so much fun to see and we were there to see it finally happen.

Or a ton of good players, but certainly seems easier to have a dynamic duo than the later

Role players need to step up though, I was watching the okc game tonight and all of their guys have really stepped it up it seems since Westbrook went down.

For the first time ever, it is safe to say that we have two superstars who can carry us in the playoffs.

BTW, Please trade DUDLEY, GREEN, and MULLENS for someone. PLEASE. WASTE of ROSTER SPACE.

Seriously, WHAT DO THEY DO other than MISS EVERY OPEN SHOT THEY TAKE?

Dudley has had his moments this season. He made the clutch shot against Minnesota recently. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's still not 100%. His knees could still be bothering him.

In the words of Ralph and Mike, "It's the evolution of Blake Griffin." This season has put to rest any doubts that Blake might not be a legitimate superstar. He's rebounding again, improving his passing, and shooting the ball better. His defense still needs improvement, but he's still young. There's plenty of time for him to learn and improve. He's scoring like he did in his rookie year, only he's smarter about it and doing it more efficiently. Not to mention he's making his free throws too.

Although I still have some concerns about other aspects of this team, I'm starting to believe that CP3 and Blake could be enough to carry this team to the finals. Now we just need to get Redick back and get Dudley 100% so he can consistently knock down those 3s.

And we still need a decent back up big. I did think it was a C we needed to give DJ a break every now and then but it is probably a C/PF because Doc seems to have stopped playing 'Twan as well.

Only if we had the surrounding talent OKC has. Jackson and Lamb have been producing all season, just without a lot of minutes (Jones and Adams too). Increased minutes will make it seem like they are playing at a higher level or doing more, but they are just getting more time and opportunity.

OKC really has a lot of talent, and young talent too, stockpiled over there.

Dudley should sit until the end of February

Ad a backup big that can actually play basketball, and this team has a lot of potential

I have just read this thread and two things pop into my head. I think our team, as currently constructed, is as good as, maybe even better that the Dallas team that won it all a few years back. But everyone on our team has to play BETTER than their averages, like Dallas did. I think Doc is a better coach than Dallas had that year also! But the other thing that bothers me somewhat, is that as great as Malone and Stockton were together, they didn't make it to the finals much, (was that due to Sloan's coaching?), let alone win a championship. So, I guess what I'm talking about here is this, we have a Dallas-like championship team with a Utah-like duo, AND a very good coach, but I feel we are TWO, not one, players away from taking it all! Anyone share that same feeling?

That Dallas team got hot at the right time. I think they shot like close to 40% at the 3 point line the entire playoff
