Arash Markazi just twittered "Clippers are still interested in Hedo. Rivers said point guard signing doesn't change that." What is going on? Seem to me that we are all over the place. Do they even know who or what they need?

Considering signing Vujacic makes me wonder if we're packaging Willie and say Mullens for Bynum or another big.

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking hard at well-known veteran free agents Sasha Vujacic and Hedo Turkoglu as they try to fill the playmaking void created by Chris Paul's shoulder injury, according to sources close to the process.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Clippers could make a new 10-day signing as early as Tuesday, with Vujacic and Turkoglu currently at the forefront of L.A.'s thinking.

Paul is expected to miss up to six weeks after suffering a separated shoulder Friday night in Dallas. The Clippers are also still without starting shooting guard J.J. Redick, who is making progress in his recovery from hand and wrist injuries but is believed to be out for at least another week.

Hedo Turkoglu, a 13-year veteran, played just 11 games last season for the Magic and was waived by the team Friday. The Clippers, though, would have to open up a roster spot before making any further signings and face an immediate decision on Stephen Jackson, whose minimum-salary contract will be guaranteed for the rest of the season if he's still on L.A.'s roster beyond Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Vujacic, 29, has been working out in Los Angeles for months in hopes of getting back into the NBA after the former Lakers guard from Slovenia spent the previous two seasons playing in Turkey.

Turkoglu, 34, just became a free agent after clearing waivers in the wake of his long-anticipated release by the Orlando Magic. ESPN.com reported last week that Turkoglu was determined to find a new NBA team as soon as he clears waivers, having spent the past few months working out on his own in the Orlando area after his representatives and Magic officials were unable to come to terms on a buyout agreement.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers, confirming his interest in Turkoglu, said before Monday night's game against the Magic: "I just like him. He's out there and we should look at him. I've always liked him. He can shoot and play [small forward and power forward]."

Turkoglu, a 13-year veteran, played in just 11 games last season because of injuries and a 20-game suspension for taking a banned substance. The Magic waived him Friday to prevent the other half of Turkoglu's $12 million contract this season from being guaranteed.

The Clippers on Monday announced the signing of guard Darius Morris to a 10-day contract after waiving reserve guard Maalik Wayns on Sunday.

When asked about Jackson's status beyond Tuesday, Rivers said: "I don't know yet. That's why we're looking so hard because we have 10-days. The 10-day contracts are nice because you can bring guys in and out and evaluate."

If vujacic has been working with us for a month, why we instantly signed morris and put in the floor and produce just 1 point.

What does that say about Vujacic, lol. Plus we were in complete control last night against the Magic and we didn't "need" more then 1 point from a guy who was rushed into our line up.

It doesn't say he's been working out with the Clippers... just in L.A. He probably has ties and contacts here after his laker days.

Still, last time I saw him play he looked pretty terrible... a shell of his former self. I'd pass. Shannon Brown is a better bet at the position, but I'd probably pass on him too and just ride out CP3's injury with the guys we have (always looking for that 3rd big, of course). JJ should be back soon.

Magic is 10-24, being in control last night is nothing, well sorry i did not see his previous game how good he is but i agree with this no team practice and play his first game, i'll give him few more games. but i saw vujacic quickness defence and shooting ability in the lakers before.

Why aren't we focusing on getting a backup big man first? JJ coming back soon, Jamal can be backup PG. We don't need more wing players.

I still don't understand the point of Hedo and Turk.. I mean we have 3 PGS minus CP3, 2 SGS minus JJ and 2 SF minus Reggie and we just dropped SJAX.. i mean it doesn't make sense to me that we are looking at more wings.. If our back up bigs were half way decent id be ok with them but they all have been nothing but horrible for us and we need a definite upgrade at the position

We're 100% making the playoffs , the players with injuries will all be back by then. Instead of making all these tiny pointless signings to solve the these so-called problems, we need to look for solutions to our REAL problem. Having a good backup big...

I reckon Doc is biding his time to wait for a decent backup big to become available, and these others signings are just short term to keep us afloat. Well lets hope so! Surely he has his eye on the big picture and the long game?

I'm not really a fan of signing Hedo, don't really see the point of adding him. We just added two guards, let them play out their 10 days and see if they can be useful. If not then try someone else.

I'm still waiting for a Gilbert Arenas sighting.

^ Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis all tested positive for steroids, and all 3 played for Orlando. That whole team was juicing it up if you ask me, lol.

I've always liked Turkoglu but i don't know how much he has left in the tank, we just got to wait and see.

Would like to have another PF option in itself if we can't get Bynum. Doc trying to preserve Jamison is good enough excuse enough for me focus to need an upgrade. I'm not as down on Hollins but Doc looks like he really hates playing him and with his foul issue Doc eats him out we can't have this issue in the post season. Doc has to trust and believe in his rotation and having a sketchy big rotation does not help.

Between his 3.4 PER and 29% shooting last year and his terrible play at Eurobasket this summer where Turkey lost every game he played and won when they benched him, I think he's completely cooked.

If we do bring him in I think he'll most play PF, not SF. Jackson played a lot at PF and Dudley and Barnes played a good amount together last night. In Boston Rivers used often guys like Gomes and Posey at PF, he's willing to sacrifice some rebounding to get more shooters on the floor.
