ugly end to a good win. Not having enough quality guards gets us into trouble with ball handling/passing situations at the end there. Oh well, more coaching opportunities for Doc!

anyways.... BLLLLLAAAAAKKKKEEEEEE!!!!!! He was amazing. He demanded the ball in the post in the 4th, had his way in the paint, and marched to the free throw line. His passing out of the post was on point too, it's just guys couldn't hit open shots on the perimeter. He even hit a crucial fadeaway shot on Jeff Green late in the game with the shot clock going off. Great all around game that showcased his improvement this season!

phew... and I didn't even mention that DUNK.

I'm not gonna complain about Jamal. I've been the one pressing hardest for him to come off the bench when JJ returns, but Jamal's great. He's our supersub. He should be our REIGNING 6th Man of the Year. He's out of his comfort zone right now and playing way too many minutes.

Kris Humphries can now be remembered as being posterized by Blake with that monster dunk instead of being remembered as Kim Kardasian's 72-day-marriage ex, lol

The thing with Dudley is that he rarely shoot free throws which makes it hard for him to get into rhythm. Guys like Love who shoot a ton of fts and are good ft shooters shouldn't brick two straight fts(but I have even seen guys like Nash and Durant brick two crucial free throws).

Dudley is averaging his least free throw attempts career wise by far right now which I think is partially due to injury.

Well actually Willie played well enough and we gave two PG's a ten day for a reason. Dudley could of got more time at the 4 and Jordan more at Center.

Well, not the best performance turnover-wise or defensively, but a win is a win. Excellent game by Blake Griffin as the Celtics had zero answer for him down low, other than fouling or send a double team. 8 assists as well for Blake, and of course that crazy dunk against Humphries, who used to be a Krytonite of sorts for Blake.

Good games by the other starters as well- Dudley with 18 & 4 steals, Crawford despite his shooting struggles, managed get 26 & 6, Collison 15 & 6, and DJ yet another double-double. Barnes & Green were solid off the bench, providing pretty good defense while they were in there. Jamison, however, after a pretty solid game the other night, reverts back to his usual poor shooting #'s.

Jamal shouldn't be heavily criticized he has tried to fill many roles with other guys out. Six assists needs to continue to playmaking.

Jamal had an off shooting night, but he's doing what we need him to do. He's playing the point guard role when handling it and the shooting guard role when we need him to score at the end of the shot clock. He's been great!.. which makes it frustrating that that clown J.R. Smith narrowly edged him last year for 6th man. Hopefully Jamal can get it again this year...

At this point, even Jamal might be relieved to go back to his prior role. I know I can't wait to get THAT Jamal back. Again, I respect the hard work he's put into it though.

As a human being, yes. I'd say jordan crawford is the more solid, consistent player. He is a tool though.

Yup not sure if Jamal would qualify with all these starts he's been getting, but yeah he'd certainly be the front runner.

Just by being a threat out there from the perimeter or off the dribble, he is still doing a good job opening things up for others. With Redick back soon, he should see more open looks himself when they are on the floor together, which should up his shooting %. Defensively he has also been pretty solid having to check the opponent's first team big guard every game lately.

Jamal Crawford is a better human being and basketball player. Jordan Crawford is a tool though I'm with you on that part.

I loved the Way JC played tonight, He was a Volume Shooter, but he didn't really take any bad shots. He got to the Foul line along with Blake, and without CP3 we really need that.

Also happy to hear J.J. could possibly play "Friday", man we really need that Production off the Bench with CP3 out.

"Man" How many Ast is Jamal Crawford Averaging without CP3?

He's been averaging 7 assists since the Dallas game when CP3 went down.

There is no consistent player even CP3, played bad every now and then.

Huh??...No player is perfect, lol, but some players are "consistently" very very good a lot more then their not. Paul being a top 5 guy is.

All we need from Jamal is to be consistently average and that would do just find.

Consistency doesn't mean perfect consistency, though I suppose one could be consistently bad which isn't helpful. The difference between levels of ability is how consistently a player can perform at a certain level. A lot of players can have explosive games, but aren't capable of consistently (on the average night / most of the time, not every night) producing at a high level.

He's had better showings in terms of shot selection than last night, had a few that weren't really smart shots, but some others that were good and in the flow of the offense, and he had a few bail out shots.

Averaging 7 assists in 39 minutes since Paul went down and only 2.0 tov, not bad at all. Attempting 20.7 FGA and scoring 21.0 PPG with 37% FG and 33% 3PT. Really shouldn't be getting forced to play 39 MPG though, or play like a high level option in the starting lineup, so the role isn't ideal for how you want to use him to make him maximally effective.

Yeah, I think sometimes Jamal has a tendency to take shots too quick within the offense, and he sometimes forgets that he's able to get to the basket almost any time. I'm not like most people that hate volume shooters, I think sometimes circumstances dictate weather or not you volume shoot, Iverson was labeled a volume shooter, but watching almost every single one of his games he was a victim of circumstances were he gets the ball with 5 seconds on the Clock and have no choice but to shoot, often times taking a bad shot, I think Crawford is in that same kinda boat, so I try not to equate his shooting percentage to how great or effective his play is. But I never gauge how good somebody's playing on what a guy shooting percentage is or someone's stats, is about everything they do, and most importantly what effect someone has on the game when they're not playing up to par. I just think regardless of Jamal shooting percentage, he's playing great right now in his overall game.

There was one really nice pass in this game from Blake that was perfect for Jamal. Blake was at the top of the key and rather than a direct pass to Jamal at the right wing, Blake sort of tossed it over a defender a little past Jamal but where the defender couldn't get to it. The ball bounced one time and, in rhythm, Jamal picked it up and hit the 3. It was just a really nice play that worked to Jamal's strength I thought.

There's a balance. At some point, you can't produce poor statistically and be helping the team at a maximal level, that is as an offensive player.

Iverson is an interesting example. It might be more like he has the ball for most of the clock then decided to shoot. How he played partially limited how good some of his earlier teams could be because they specifically tried to surround him with lower usage players so they wouldn't conflict with each other.

I think Jamal has been okay for the bigger role, but I don't think Jamal should be playing this role. I do think he was also struggling to produce effectively in his bench role too for a good amount of games, and was not maximally effective. Efficient production was what made him more valuable as a player in recent seasons as he's been coming off the bench with ATL and last year here.

Hopefully we can get some of that back
