What a great article. Thanks for posting! So nice to have Griffin finally be recognized for the dominant all-around player he's become. It's not all about dunks anymore, but when he does make those, they sure are a thing of beauty. It's been amazing to see him be a playmaker, make timely passes, and carry the team on his back.

Nice article but one of the comments mus have been made by Charles Barkley because they guy (gal) say Blake cheats. Really don't understand how you can cheat when you dunk but in that person's eyes , Blake does.

Blake Griffin is 4th in the NBA MVP Ladder. Finally, he's getting his recognition.

Yeah I noticed that, great to see him there.

It would be great to have both BG and CP on the ladder when Chris is back, less for the recognition -which is nice- and more for the fact that if they are both there it means the Clips will be in really good shape.

A couple of days ago I made a reference to the use of the word "Sans" which may have seemed strange.

Sans is French for without.

Many of you youngsters weren't forced to read Shakespeare. We had to memorize this:

"All the world's a stage and the men and women only players". He goes through each Stage of Life, there are seven. In the seventh you are like a baby sans eyes, sans teeth etc. He made a pun on a theatrical stage and the stages of life.

I said "All the world's a stage( as in stagecoach, a pun on stage) and the men and women only passengers. Sometimes the stage (our lives) crashes some times the horses (our lives) poop out and sometimes the horses poop on us" as life often sh*ts on us.

JVG just made a case for BG for Most Improved Player.

"He went from a really really really good player to an absolutely dominant player" - JVG

If he keeps on like this DJ could be considered MIP. Blake is possibly MVP next year depending on Durant. If when CP gets back and if we do the Monster Mash on the Western Conference he may be #2. This while irrelevant is relevant. He has Star Power. People like to watch him. It couldn't hurt.

My mother was educated to Masters + level and one of the things she considered when voting for a candidate was which was better looking TRUE

Damn, Blake's January numbers are ridiculous. Even the rebounding drop off is reasonable considering the uptick of everything else:

  • 12-4 record
  • 25.7 points per game
  • 55% field goals
  • 72% free throws
  • 9.6 trips to the FT line
  • 8.1 rebounds
  • 4.3 assists a game
  • 1.4 steals

If not for Kevin Durant, Blake would most certainly be considered Western Conference Player of the Month.

Love the fact that Blake gets some recognition on the MVP ladder but Derozan 8th on that ladder?! Yikes. Not even the best player on his own team, not close to be frank. Him being on the MVP ladder is a travesty.
