I heard this too. I thought it was great they mentioned all kinds of names like Lamarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love etc. ,but Malone chose Blake Griffin. He said he would love to work with him. Something Blake could look forward too. He said that if he got a hold of blake the first thing he would tell him to do was the next time he got Cheap Shot to just lose his mind on the guy and he would pay his fine. Its amazing to see Blake getting respect from great PFs like Malone and Barkely this year. They realize he gets hit a lot. He is getting respect now. The only thing left is for the Clippers as a franchise to start EARNING that respect ,like Blake had to, by winning.

Oh hell ya. CP3 and BG32 have Stockton and Malone part II written all over them. Malone and Griffin play a very similar style of basketball so I think Karl could be a perfect teacher for him. Of course compatible personalities and mutual interest has to be there though.

You beat me to it. I was watching the game and pretty content with Utah beating golden state, but hearing Karl talk about how much he loves watching Blake and how he would love to work with him. He also said that if he did l, he would want Blake to lose it on the next Guy that takes him a cheap shot and he would cover the fines.

Now if only we can pry Malone from Utah. Is he someway part of the team or involved over there?

Blake needs to play with an edge and be tough like Malone did. Like Barkley and Shaq say he needs to impose his will on his opponents and hit them before they hit him.

I think just adding that toughness/edge to his game would make him much better. I'm not saying to fight everyone, but punish his opponents.

I would LOVE to see Blake throw an elbow or get extremely angry and do something to someone who hits him again, but I don't think he does it bc he means too much to the team.

Ding! Ding!! Ding!!!

Blake has said it before. He does not want to miss any games at all. That is one of the reasons that he does not go an open up a can of whoop-a** on their candy a**es.

I like the idea though. Malone teaching Blake a few of his tricks.

When you have a player as valuable as blake you need an

enforcer. Look at the heat they have Haslem and Birdman,

but mainly Haslem.

I remember the Pacers 2 years ago tried to get physical and

play dirty with wade and Lebron, and Haslem did a Flying

Elbow to the throat of Stephenson as he came through the lane.

Haslem took the suspension.

But if you watch Miami heat highlight mixes they are a tough

team. D.Wade will elbow and throw you on the ground, as well as

Birdman and Haslem.

This is the toughness the clippers lack. That's mainly why I like

have Jackson...

Whether we like it word is out Clippers are soft, and you can

be dirty with our star player and no one is going to retaliate.

Enforcer who? Can we put Doc in a uniform? Matt can't afford another fine. Hedo? Jackson on a ten day? JAMISON!

I kinda hated Malone. He was a dirty player. I don't think I want Blake anywhere near this dude.

He had that cheesy layup where it looks like he would knee anyone trying to defend that.

Doc in uniform might not be a bad idea. He def wasn't soft. Remember the infamous brawl with kevin Johnson.

Hedo an enforcer... Good one. wink

We need someone "Bout that life".

His cheesy layup? Like Swiss any defender who got in his way got a hole knocked in him. That's not dirty. He was one of the GOAT Dirty is taking cheap shots like GSW or like everyone does to Blake. Per Barkley, nobody would hack Malone like that. Per Barkley anybody who got in Sir Charles' way got a knee int the thingies. Malone wasn't a Duncan type player. Duncan wasn't a POWER forward. An artist yes. Blake is the player most like Malone actually with more physical gifts. If you play in the paint you can't be have "girly pants" to quote Arnold.

I get into this philosophical with Cleepers (I think)

The guy who said that "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" also said the "great men are rarely good men" Let's tone that down. Great men aren't nice guys sometimes.

remember when kareem tried to fix olowokandi?

back on topic, i hope malone teaches blake how to play with his elbows. stick those things out when going up for a rebound or going inside for a bucket. that's how you protect yourself and influence defenders to stay away.

yeah totally.

actually the number 1 thing BG needs to do to minimize all the beatings he's getting is simple.

MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS.

that's it.

add in a few elbows and he's absolutely golden.

Or have Mullens invite his "jail" buddies on a 10 day contract to be that enforcer.

I think it would be great if Karl Malone could work with Blake Griffin on positioning especially to establish the 20 foot elbow shot. Blake is already pretty good from the left side elbow, but it would be nice if the Mailman can make him automatic from there. I still think Griffin needs to work with Hakeem. I think it's deceiving when people think of Blake as a power player when he actually utilizes his quickness to go around slower defenders. Because Olajuwon also spent his career utilizing his speed over centers in the 80's that were guarding him, I think he can help Blake with some go-to moves down low to utilize his speed and quickness. Blake has a lot of moves right now, but I think that's because he does not have any that he's overly confident with. Once he finds 3 or 4 that he feels are automatic, he can get down there and score at will. So next summer should be the Mailman and the Dream training sessions followed by an MVP in 2015.

I think if bg JUST VISITED the mailman in some closed off sessions, the word would get out around the league to LOOK OUT! Blake has learned Karl's "beat you up" moves, and no nba player would want to take a chance on getting a km style elbow or knee from a nearly trained "mailman" house of pain" graduate! Lol

The mailman showing love again for our BG32.. Karl Malone said that Blake Griffin is his favorite player right now, every time he is on he wants to watch him and when he gets subbed he change the channel lol
