Steve Nash as our 3rd PG off the bench. Idk care what anyone says, that would be amazing come Playoff time.

He only needs to give us a couple good games in the Playoffs to make it worth it.

Repped High Quality Post

No, but I think he would be a good SG along side CP for short stints. The dude is one of the GREATEST shooters of all time.

Chauncey was a dissapointment because he was expect to be the starting SG for 2 years, Nash is expected to be our 3rd string PG/SG. He can only help this ball club.

Great point as a third PG no problem but we would need a strong option as a back up. Doc in no way should rely on Paul and Nash to handle a full season but a third role all the better. Been saying for a while I think DC walks for a contract and maybe a starter chance somewhere so with Nash and Paul it may be a good idea to get a young PG to mold like Bledsoe. Still think we should load up on bigs in the draft but if a player falls into our laps with potential get that PG.

How do we know he will be the third string PG? He could very well end up coming off the bench with the second unit. How do we know Darren isn't going somewhere else for....

That is the thing even Grant was third string last year just because of injury concerns. We put all faith in Nash as the primary backup and when he goes down and Paul tends to have injury stretch we are screwed. Signing or drafting a energy PG that can go would be key in a Nash coming to the Clippers.

Waste of a roster spot. I'd rather groom a youngster for the future. That is the one area where we're way behind the Spurs and OKC.

Maybe for the vet min. Sorry Nash but father time has claimed you already and you can't do anything on the defensive end.

You guys have paid attention to what has happened this year with him, right? Lasts half a game, out for 10. Sounds like he is too tired to move his crap out of Staples so maybe across the hall is easier for him.

He was one of the best and was is the opperative word.

Really no need of him on the team. Then again, we did sign Hedo and Sasha.

I'd much rather have a Nash that's 60% than a Sasha that's 110%

Nash would be a way better version of what Fisher is doing for the Thunder.

Also, selfishly I'd like to see what Nash could do with another explosive PF like BG.

He's one of the greatest shooters who ever lived and you never lose your shot. On top of that he's still a decent passer and facilitator. Playing with Blake and DJ would only make him better.

And hopefully we'll say "no," since he's a cancer who refuses to let go of the basketball.

Couldn't hurt... 3rd PG for the min... and his upside for one season is there, he'd have chemistry with Dudley on the bench, maybe he could convince someone like Channing Frye to join our bench... He'd be a pretty good asst offensive coordinator of Alvin Gentry's offense, our bench desperately needs to create more easy baskets. And if it worked, it'd really piss off Laker fans...

Take a look at his shooting numbers for this year. They're not pretty. Granted, it's a small sample size... but that's because he can't stay healthy enough to string together 2 games in a row. Add to that the fact that he can't check a quadriplegic sloth and you've got yourself one wasted roster spot.

If I were the Clippers, I would take him, but only if all the other needs (a third big and maybe a new small forward) have been met already.

Wouldn't mind Nash, but if we get him and Collison leaves, I'd want to draft Aaron Craft to mold. Defense and a pass first point guard, I think he'd be great on the second team with Crawford and hopefully a good Big.

LOL and make our Bench even worse on Defense.. Naw man they don't need that. Plus he's like a human Injury Bug, he must have bad Karma from stealing those MVP's one from Kobe, and the Other from Iverson.

no, Nash is a great player and all but he needs to hang it up. I don't want to invest in a player just for the playoffs and when it comes time for them to be clutch, guess what? They can't be because they've been injured all season long or not getting played at all. TOO OLD

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read in months,Collison wanted to play on a contender and he is,he's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.Signing Nash would be a complete waste of a roster spot and money unless the NBA is going to start allowing players on the court in their wheelchairs.Proof-Lakers last two seasons, enough said.

The guy can't stay healthy. I bet if we signed him, it would be Grant Hill all over again and he wouldn't even see the court.

LOl, Sorry about that went a little too far, I watch allot of Basketball. And In 05 I thought Iverson was more deserving and in 06 I thought Kobe was-That one's a bit more understandable thought, given Amar'e missed that whole year. But still Kobe and Iverson were Both on another level those two particular years, if they had a french name by their pictures, Nash wouldn't be a two time MVP.

But besides that, he could never and and still can't play defense, besides having an unwilling shooter, he'd be little to no use.

Neither Iverson or Kobe were even top 3 MVP candidates those years and they didn't deserve to be. If anything Iverson robbed Shaq of the MVP in 01 and Kobe robbed CP3 of the MVP in 08.

You could argue that Shaq was robbed in 05(its a joke he only has 1 MVP). Nash, Shaq, Dirk and Duncan were far more deserving of MVP than Iverson in 05.

Nash, LBJ and Dirk were more deserving for MVP than Kobe in 06.

Seems like you favor players that put up lots of points. Kobe in 06 was great but he didn't have any team success(not his fault his team sucked) but lets not act like CP3 didn't have a great season in 09 and didn't even get much recognition for it due to being on a sub-par team too.

Iverson I don't even want to talk about. Very overrated....

Kobrick's team sucking was absolutely his fault. He's the one who ran off Shaq because he thought he could lead a team. A year of no playoffs and two first-round exits later, they had to bring in Pau to carry him.

Kobrick wasn't robbed of MVP in '06, LeBron was. Kobrick wasn't even second in voting that year, he was in fourth.

Overrated, the guy that never played with another great Player in Philly, and by the way, who had one of the Worst General Manager's in history Billy King-Current GM of the Nets by the Way, Passed on Paul Pierce by the Way, Passed on Allot of players, lol don't make me laugh. Don't be that guy that says a Guy who says a Guy getting 33prts 7ast and 2stl a game (not to mention his carer as a whole) is Overrated, gosh I just meant it as a little dig on Nash but OK!. Iverson Overrated lol, that sounds like mostly everybody on Blake Griffin, not the People who watch the Clippers play on a Daily basis but the Box Score, Sport Center, every now and then game I watch people. Their isn't anything Overrated about Iverson.

But in all seriousness, Kobe in 06 should have gotten League MVP, IDK were he finished, Now I can't stand the Lakers, but I remember watching that team all year (Mostly to watch them Loose), but Kobe Carried that Team, and did all he could do, but lets just face it they sucked that year, heck Luke Walton was a major part of the Team that year. And people love to talk about people chucking up shots, but don't realize when Your a great player on a bad team, that's going to happen, Allot of times it's them giving up the Ball to give a teammate a shot, and then the Teammate turning around and giving it back to them with 5 seconds, Heck Steven A Smith once said this quote about Iverson and it applies to every great player, even Chris Paul, and Jamal Crawford as well, He said this about a report about Iverson not Passing: Quoting Steven A on Iverson : Ok I pass the ball with 15 seconds on the Shot Clock, They pass it to one guy, then they pass it to the other guy, then they give it back to me with 5 seconds left, what the hell am I suppose to do, if they pass it back to me then they didn't want to shoot it in the First Place, and Watching Allot of basket ball it happens more then you know. I think there is a difference between a Ball hog and a guy who shoots because they have no Choice, and Seeing as Iverson and Kobe are Great Passers for their Position's, that's not even close to being the Case. But I digress. But about this topic, unless were getting the Steve Nash that Played in Dallas, He'll no I wouldn't want him.

I was really just confused about the Iverson one. His team won 43 games and it wasn't even on of his best seasons. He scored more than Nash, but certainly didn't have greater offensive impact as we do have to get away from the thinking that greater PPG equals greater offensive impact or that really high PPG must mean great offensive impact. I know people generally always propped up Iverson a little more because he played a lot of minutes and took a lot of shots, but 04-05 wasn't really anything special for him. I think it would have been a pretty bad decision to give him MVP that year.

I think if we asked the question, who was the better offensive player in 04-05, Nash or Iverson, Nash wins in just about every way we can think of despite Iverson scoring double the pounds because individual PPG does not necessarily mean more effective team scoring.

Shaq I can understand in 04-05, that's certainly true, he had a good argument with Miami himself.

05-06, I get the Kobe angle, but Lebron did 31/7/7 on a 50 win team that wasn't specifically super talented, and Dork 27/9/3 on a 60 win team. Kobe did some great stuff, but I mean seems like those guys are getting a bit or rank ahead of him. I mean if were going purely statistical, 31/7/7 is pretty good, though he did play 42-43 MPG. Per 36 him and Kobe were: Lebron (27/6/6), Kobe (31/5/4). Both pretty nice seasons, but 50 and 45 wins, taking conference into account, I'd consider both of those basically equal seasons.

Nash did 19/4/11 that year, led the #2 offense, and the three teams ranked 14th (Cle), 15th (LAL) and 16th (Pho) in defensive rating while the Lakers and Cavs were 8th and 9th respectively in offensive rating. That was a tougher sell as Nash did have 54 wins, but in the same conference as Kobe, that's 9 more wins while leading a better offense, and Kobe was never going to anchor a defense.

Anyways, that's a played out discussion, just was puzzled at the Iverson one, I watched a lot of basketball that year and many other years.,but I don't remember thinking Iverson should have been MVP that season.
