If you look at our team, we are better then last year.. But, we still can't win a championship. Our defense is bad, like really bad. Blake is on a offensive rampage, not a defensive one. Don't get me started on the small forwards.. Defense wins championships... We can't survive against OKC. or spurs when healthy. Doc has to get somebody. REMEMBER, some teams play during the season, just to get in the playoffs. But playoffs are a whole new ball game. Everything slows down, this lob city thing, as much as i love it, will not be there. Defense wins....

I've been a clippers fan for a long time, couple years before blake actually, i'm not hating at all. This is my favorite team, i want them to be great

We can beat anyone with the team we have. We don't need

any "New" player.

Again we can beat ANY team in a 7 game serious

with a fully healthy roster.

While I'd like a defensive minded small forward, I think we can go far with the roster that we have.

I agree... players like Mullens, ryan, ant need to go and it's no doubt about it. Ryans he shows up when it's against crappy teams, Mullens just sucks and ant is okay but he's dead weight if all he does is sit.

We need something, but let's not make a trade just to look like we are doing something (afterall, this isn't fantasy basketball, the trades you make may have to stick). The right trade or no trade. Of course,Byron for a bag on Popcornopolis could be a right trade.

I definitely don't agree with this.

There is no team that uses every player on there roster. Especially in the PO.

Mullens tho he is trash really is insignificant in the big scheme of things.

Them "Needing to go" doesn't make any sense to me. They aren't doing

any harm on the bench. Furthermore cut Sasha we have 1 roster

spot sign a back up big to play 15mpg and our problems are solved.

The right trade has to be a MAJOR TRADE, like the Lakers did to get pao gasol, and then we will win one, IF not two championships right away, but I don't know what that....

First and foremost, our defense is NOT that bad. Last I had read since CP3 went out we were 8th in the league with a number 1 offense.

Every team has a weakness, we have ours chronicled quite well yet no one is looking at the weakness of the potential match ups in the playoffs.

I've been saying this since November, the Clippers will end the season a top 3 offense & defense. Everyone needs to sit back and enjoy the run and leave the hand wringing and concern to Doc and crew.

You're too optimistic. I don't think there's ever been a top 3 offensive / defensive team. Even if there is, you're putting this team among some of the greatest teams?

Every team has a weakness, but some team's weaknesses don't affect them that much.

Our starters can compete with anyone in the NBA, but the 2nd unit is too unreliable. It's all good when Crawford is hot, but when his shots don't go in, you can guarantee the 2nd unit will have a minus point differential. Collison / JC / Dudley can't guard the perimeter, and you got a filler for Blake's position. The entire second unit's just relying on DJ defensively.

With no decent 3rd big man, we're screwed once DJ or BG get into foul trouble.

Our starting line up, is not prefect wow. Blake has the offensive ability, but defense heck no. He has a lot to work on, when it comes to defense. Our small fowards, are so bad. Barnes is a defender, not a shooter. Dudley is not hitting anything down. Bullock still has lots to learn. Jordan FREETHROWS, that is all (he is improving tho, I'm not going to lie) and Heath, is also our issue, back court. Now JJ is back, lets hope he can stay that way, and Paul too

Our Bench, is so bad that Blake and DJ have to play extreme minutes. They are young Still, hard to play those types of minutes. WE NEED A 3RD BIG MAN

Long term the Clippers would be wise to get under the salary cap - or at least make sure they don't have the potential for the dreaded repeater tax.

Looks like Odom's headed overseas to play in Spain.... at what point will the front office finally wake up and address our need for a third big before they're all gone?

Don't know a team who's starting line up isn't perfect, LOL. All the top teams have weakness. Right now our weakness in the starting line up is our SF's, but their not "so bad". Hopefully if no trade happens, they will play to their past averages which would boost our chances for a top one or two seed heading into the PO's. I feel we are still "player/team progression" and one or two roll players away from truly contending for a title, but I like how we are trending upwards. It should happen within Doc's tenure though.

The minutes Blake and DJ have played aren't extreme by any means and if they keep up the same pace they'll be fine. Currently their ranked only 19th and 21st in minutes played so far.

If Odom was good enough to be on the team, he would be. He's not, so he's took what he could get, in Spain. Unless someone here is a scout who has seen him play at an NBA level recently, theres no reason to think that he belongs in the NBA let alone on the Clippers.

clippers need a big defensive guy..thompson...someone..

they can pick up a small forward ,possibly caron butler next week if the bucks buy out his contract..

they should trade dudley and possibly mullins or the other scrub..

they should keep hollins...he has history with doc..

a defensive player needed badly..and it has to be a big..

or they could try to trade dudley for miller?

and then trade collison for thompson.( 3 team deal) .that would be great..

Chloe, Ur right, Clippers roster sucks right now. I think cp3, blake, DJ, JJ, Jamal and DC are the only good players right now, playing at the level they should be playing, JD , MB step it up

Adding Davis is great but we definitely need to add another player or 2. If I was management I would be looking at all of these guys that are being waived. Whether it is Earl Clark, Artest, or hopefully Granger they would be an upgrade over what we currently have. I would also like to waive Green and give Manny Harris a look.

Bobcats are better than us grabbing defensive boards and defending fastbrake easy points

IMO, I think the only reason Blake is a tad sluggish on D down low is because he doesn't want to get into foul trouble due to the lack of having a solid back up big.

Blake is doing fine. It's the perimeter guys (Crawford, Collison, Dudley, sometimes CP3) who are getting blown by too easily, which makes the our big men look bad when they're leaving their own defender to help.

So we have BB and DG and things are looking real good. Do we need another back up big, a big 7' guy to give DJ a rest??

Unless we sign a 7 footer that is better than Hollins, I would keep that roster spot open for an injury issue.

Do the Clippers still have 1 roster spot to fill? Do they need to sign this person by March 1 for them to qualify for the playoffs? I think they should either sign another guard to back-fill Redick/Crawford or pick up Metta World Peace as an enforcer. In other words, if we play the Grizzlies and Randolph starts to get out of hand, Doc can send Metta in to throw some elbows and clear the lane out.

Today is the last day of signing a player who can play in the playoff, so we'll see what's Doc in mind. he will add one more or stay in this line up.

I think that Blake, DJ, and Big Baby can effectively handle nearly the entire 96 minutes allocated to the 4 and 5 positions. Sure a rim protecting 7 footer that is better than Hollins would be nice, but in reality that's fairly unlikely.
