This is the same as last year. Our shooting guard was out leading up to playoffs and then no longer fit in well with the team. If he doesn't play at least 10 games before playoffs I almost feel they shouldn't even bother for chemistry reasons.

Wow...whenever someone comes back another one goes down. Oh well hopefully all these setbacks will make us really healthy in the playoffs.

How if our full squad can't play together at All and get a rhythm going

@ramonashelburne: Redick's got issues with his hip, back & shoulder. Clippers being conservative and shutting him down for a bit so he's ready for playoffs

Clipper Joe I believe it was you who I argued with about Billups 2.0. I am so sorry. I see what you are saying now. We can't get healthy SGs and SFs for anything. All....

Doc NEEDS to play the hell out of Reggie and develop him. Clippers staff once again a step slow diagnosing players and downplaying the extent of injuries. Tired of this BS. Every Time a player has a "contusion" we just need to assume it's a fracture or torn ligament. Btw Crawford will now likely be disqualified for 6th man thanks to this.

Lame. Why can't we ever stay healthy?

I also don't think the Billups 2.0 comparison is fair. JJ is actually productive when he plays. Chauncey was a washed-up malcontent who provided nothing to the team.

This will get Bullock minutes, Green is also banged up and Bullock while he hasn't proven much yet has been better than Green. I expect us to use a sub rotation similar to what we saw in the Portland game for a while, including some lineups with Collison and Paul playing together.

Worst part about it is that being short-handed in the backcourt will pull focus from our search for a big man.

I thought if he wasn't able to play after the break then something was wrong. This is worst than I thought. I really wonder what Doc is going to do. Looks like we may need Jaimison earlier than we had hoped. Does this make us change our approach to the Trade Deadline.

Big man still more pressing need for the health of blake and deandre. Preferably we can get another wing too that is a slight upgrade. Maybe get a free agent big as a free agent and a defensive minded 3 in a trade?

Yeah kyle, I just meant in terms of injuries, not value to the team. This one hurts a lot more than Billups though.

We're lucky we got Collison this past off season then. Hopefully this 2 point guard lineup works better than the CP3-Chauncey version worked last season.

DC is still young and in his prime though I can't see this going too wrong.

In Chauncey's defense, he was pretty damn good for us when he first came to LA. He put up some good numbers and made some big shots. It wasn't until he returned from his achilles injury that his play really fell off. And can we really blame him? An achilles tear is a really serious injury and he wasn't exactly young when he signed with the Clippers anyway.

Doesn't sound like Doc's searching too hard with all the talk about how he doesn't expect a trade to get done. roll

Hope he's got something up his sleeve that can't be revealed yet...

Well Bledsoe is injured too, so maybe keeping him wouldn't been all that helpful anyway. Not to mention, if we still had E-Bled, he would've been looking to move to a team to be a starter this off season. But, it would have been nice to get someone better than Duds.

How the heck did this take a turn for the worst like this? Thought the other day I read he was probably ready in a week or so and now out until the playoffs, SMH.

Ah- bulging disc- ugh. That could become chronic like what happened to Nash, so hopefully JJ gets healed 100% so it doesn't become a longer term issue.

Maybe, Doc is pulling a Popovich and just being extra cautious, knowing the regular season win aren't as important as being healthy for the post season.

Story is changing by the minute.

Brad Turner tweeted JJ Redick will be out indefintely with bulging disc in his back, sources

Arash Markazi tweeted Bulging disk in back biggest of many injuries. RT @ESPNLosAngeles: Sources: Clips' Redick sidelined indefinitely

One hour later Arash Markazi tweeted Doc says J.J. Redick could basically be out 3-5 days or 3-5 weeks depending on when his bulging disk heals. He just doesn't know

I'm no doctor or medical expert, but I'm pretty sure a bulging disc doesn't just heal in 3-5 days. In most cases, you need back surgery for it to go away(Isn't that what happned to Dwight Howard?) Let's see what happens, but I'll stunned if he's back within a week.

3 weeks is beginning of March, 5 weeks is mid-March, right?

Dodger, it probably depends on how severe it is

This doesn't help that 2nd seed chase. What I don't like is that unlike the wrist injury, it will be more difficult for him to stay in shape. His seamless transition after the injury was because he was still in tip top shape, not sure if that's possible with a back injury as any back ailment I've ever had has been unpleasant and hard to work with.

I just recovered from a back injury in 2012.

They are trying to be optimistic. The reality is back injuries unlike

leg/wrist injuries is the healing process can vary from 6 weeks to

6 months.

I went 4 months without seeing any progress.

A bulging disc is severe. In reality JJ is probably done

for the season. Even if he comes back by playoff time

won't be effective.

I hope I'm wrong.

But got damn clippers are freaking cursed man I swear.

Any chance this is all a smokescreen for a blockbuster trade tomorrow?

Seems pretty weird that he was only kept out of the Portland game to give him an extra week, now it's "indefinitely". Matt Barnes tweeting about this being "his last". That's about $10,000,000 we could take back in salary.

Well, I have hope until Thursday at noon.

And LeBron chose today of all days to make some politician-sounding statement that "at this time, he doesn't see himself leaving the Heat."

Clearly, all this means that Redick and Barnes for LeBron is happening. Razz

Well it looks like Doc might have to play/""develop" Reggie by default. Could turn out to be a good thing...well see.

I'm sure Crawford could care less about the 6th man award if he plays well as a starter.

JJ has had a herniated disc in his back since 2006 (actually had it pre-draft workouts). Didn't need surgery then and played until this season with no flare ups. Not sure if it is the same one or not but these things can often flare up and then get better with rest and cortisone shots.

So apparently JJ isn't getting any better with rest which kind of worries me because if he gets surgery isn't this the same surgery Dwight got?

Do we go out and sign Ben now?

This would be terrible if he is truly done for good. Caron for sure was suppose to go to the Heat.

I hope #4 will be ok for the playoffs.
