Jamison gone.... Should mean 2 roster spots. Shumpert deal sounded good. 7 to 10 days out isn't that bad. What's that like 4 games????

I heard it was about two weeks he would be gone. Plus MCL is tricky. Also losing Bullock and Barnes and Willie, we won't have that much healthy bodies to play with .

Wow, the over reaction on this thread is crazy.

Shumpert wasn't going to put us over the top. With him hurt, he might have been ready to come back same time as JJ. Shumpert only really made sense if we're dropping JJ or Jamal to upgrade the starting 3 spot. I like Shumpert but he isn't Deng or an Ariza type move.

Dropping Antawn is a good move that now allows us to pick up maybe an Ivan or Shavlick that could be an upgrade. Realistically Deshawn Stevenson could probably fill the same role that Iman could have; and now we got the two spots open and you could try out Deshawn or Shannon Brown (once the Spurs let him off his second 10 day) for the same thing Iman would bring. We could also try a few 10 days on Ivan, Shavlick or one of those guys.

This trade deadline is actually funny if you think about it:

  1. Somehow Byron Mullens is still on this team. Wow.

  2. The Warriors take on Steve Blake, making them (from my eye test) one of the whitest teams in the league lol

The fact that Doc did not pull the trigger, giving away Reggie, is a good sign. It shows me that he agrees that Reggie is going to be very good. The proposed trade also shows me what he thinks of Collison. I agree that Collison is expendable, if we have a backup pg.

Then Reggie should be playing more minutes, especially with how bad Dudley and Barnes have been.

Whew- the Clippers really dodged a bullet not doing this trade. Raymond Felton was just arrested for felony gun possession:

Wow, that's crazy. Good find David.

I wonder how many times we will benefit from the trade that didn't happen.

Wow, Clippers really dodged a major bullet right there with Felton's arrest. Clippers don't need that kind of trouble.

As I Knicks fan all I can say is good riddance to Felton and his dumb ass. He is going to jail. Gun laws in New York are strict which means his contract can also be voided.

Hopefully barns will stay playing this way and not because he's scared of a let go...

While Shumpert's injury did not deter the Thunder, it did kill the Knicks' hopes of sending him to Los Angeles. Clippers coach Doc Rivers really wanted Shumpert, sources say, and Rivers was willing to do a deal that would have sent Darren Collison, Matt Barnes, Byron Mullens and two second-round picks to New York for Shumpert, Felton and Beno Udrih. But Clippers owner Donald Sterling and others within the organization were hesitant to bet on Shumpert after seeing him go down in Wednesday's game at New Orleans, according to sources.

Thanks Donald... For now...
