It will fade just like Dudley's 2-3 game hot streaks. Just look between these last three games and his recent 3 game double digit scoring streak.

Let's see the next game, hoping he continue to shoot better and be aggressive.

2 good games? Is that enough for Doc to not sign a SF who has shot 38% from 3 in 5 NBA seasons because a guy who has never shot above 38% is hitting some 3's?

Granger is better than Barnes.

If we're talking about just shooting and specifically as a starter, Barnes has shot 42.4% in 17 games as a starter, and was at 37-38% even before the recent games. I believe he's just going back to his norm, so law of averages are just playing out and he is a 34-35% 3PT shooter at his best, but Doc is also sending him to the corner more because Barnes in previous seasons has liked to take more above the break three's than he should, so with better 3PT selection, he could be a 35-36% shooter.

Now, what Granger has been is definitely known, but that isn't the same as what he can do now. Remember Dudley is also a career great 3PT shooter. I believe a bigger value of getting him now is in having a greater chance to sign him for cheap this off-season. The next season, you get a fully recovered and starter quality above average player at SF.

I'm not super convinced about what he'll give his season in terms of average to above average play on either end just because he isn't fully healthy. There are mixed reports that his defense has been poor and some that it's been okay, so we can't know yet about that, I don't have time to go watch film to get an idea either. Of course we can see his shooting has been inconsistent and below par and we can't be sure how much the injury / recovery is still lingering and affecting it. Remember he did have some severe tendonosis, so I'm aware of the vast talent difference when healthy, bit I'm not sure there's a "healthy" Granger this season, I think a summer of continued rehab and getting helwtht could produce a healthy Granger for next season though.

Now I'm not saying it isn't possible, bit I'm not sure he is going to produce much better than Barnes right now, so Doc might prefer to keep the status quo.

Great points, but getting a healthy Granger is just as likely as getting a healthy Barnes.

If we can starts Granger and get Barnes to buy into coming off the bench which he already has in the past and force him to the corners like now it would be the ideal acquisition, then just let Dudley fizzle out.

Clips magically appear back in the discussion. I think the Clippers get Granger, we are getting looked over and Granger could slip right to us. Too much favors the Clippers for Danny not to pick....

Matt Barnes is still not a starter imo. Only 2 good games. I hope he stays consistent from now on, but what the hell was he doing before he thought he was gonna be traded. He looked like a bum that couldn't do anything right.

Maimi wants Caron because Granger pissed off their team and Lebron doesn't like him.

Danny Granger, 76ers mull buyout Ramona Shelburne and Marc Stein [ARCHIVE] ESPN.com | February 25, 2014 Newly acquired Danny Granger and the Philadelphia 76ers continue to discuss a possible buyout, according to sources close to the process. Sources told ESPN.com on Tuesday that a buyout consummated before Saturday's midnight deadline for Granger to be waived and remain eligible to appear in this season's playoffs with any team he subsequently signs for remains the most likely outcome. But sources also said Granger continues to weigh other options, including staying with the 76ers for the rest of the season, as the deadline draws near. Sources said Tuesday the....

If we sign Granger, we'd have the two greatest Bradley Braves of all time. Ralph Lawler and Granger will finally get to team up.

Granger and Paul George train at 360 health club with Don McCleon in the offseason, I talk to Danny sometimes, he went to college with me at UNM. He obviously lives here in the offseason & he's told me he loves LA, not sure what his thinking is but can't imagine a rich young black man choosing to work in San Antonio and renting a place over living at your house in Los Angeles unless there was a huge financial gain or a guaranteed ring. But even if he plays well in SA I feel like Pop would get all the credit... He also has a much better shot at getting a starting job over Dud & Matt than Danny Green or Kwawi Leonard. It just wouldn't add up to me, unless Barkley's theory on SA is right & Granger happens to be into fat chicks over LA supermodels...

San Antonio Texas vs SoCal.... c'mon... Danny Granger needs to come to LA. Also think of the Legacy... 1st ever championship for Los Angeles Clippers.

IIIIIIFFFF Granger was 80-90% healthy, with no future re-occuring knee issues, I would like to see him in Clippers Uniform, but the Clippers cannot afford key injuries come playoffs...Dudley is already a liability with his knee tendonitis....I would love to have Metta actually, health wise he's good...declined offense but still a strong considerable defensive presence would be key for the Clips in the playoffs.

Even if he doesn't pan out/gets injured, so what? We would be in the same position as we are now, no biggie. Low risk, high reward.

Metta? The Knicks cut Metta for Earl Clark. Red Flags to me.

He has to be bought out by March 1. He can still be playoff eligible all the way up to the last regular season game.

Granger will be a Clipper IF? We hear news that the Spurs sign Metta World Peace then we know he will come to Clippers. Same thing happened with Big Baby actually. It was Brooklyn and Clippers....

This is why he was injured? If I am not mistaken isn't this the same thing Dudley is having? If we do get Granger do we sit Dudley the entire year while he gets surgery?

Has Danny earned enough in his career that would make him be open to giving up his Bird rights? That's a weighty consideration for him. It'd be really tough and depressing to stay on the horrible Sixers team though.

Caron Butler is expected by many to sign with the Miami Heat once he clears waivers.

Butler and the Milwaukee Bucks have engaged on buyout talks on the final season of his deal, originally signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Butler was drafted by the Heat.

One thing I like about Granger at the 3 is that he is 6'9". Our team can use players with length on defense. Doc likes small ball but sometimes a wing defender can hassle 3 point shooters if he is taller with long arms. This is a great gamble because Granger was 25ppg while shooting 40 from the 3 and 45 from the field before he got hurt. If he gets anywhere close to that as he gets healthy, that's better than what we have available now at the 3. And just think, we will give up no players or assets to bring him in. Just a roster spot and chump change.

I think the fact that he lives here, not having a guy like Kawhi in front are two major factors. When you add in that if you come out here and are productive you will be a key piece on a contending team; rather than being a replaceable piece on Spurs team. If I am prideful guy that wants to show that it was a mistake to trade me, I would rather show that I'm a key piece. You have a better chance of getting that playing time and starting spot behind Dudley and Barnes over Kawhi and the other guys they have that can play the 3.

Man, If granger signs with the Clippers this is going to be a dangerous team. We now have 2 defenders who can slow down Durant, George, and lebron. And if we make it to the finals against the pacers watch him be extra motivated to beat them.

Hopefully he signs with the Clippers!!

We are back in the hunt. Since Leonard is returning tonight. The Spurs with Manu and Marco on the bench become an unlikely destination for Granger. Lets Go Clips

I think he goes to the Bulls, they have no depth on the wings, he would basically take Deng's spot and they could pay him well next year if he performs. They aren't a contender, but there is a good chance they still make the second round of the playoffs.

His was a bit more serious obviously since he ended up getting surgery. It is sort of what can happen if you keep playing on it for an extended period without adequate rest. He was probably trying to suck it up for some time and that was the end result.

Dudley's case doesn't seem like it will need surgery, and he reported feeling much better compared the to 60% reports back in December and January

Danny Granger for Clippers heating up, with Leonard back in Spurs lineup, he is a better fit for Clips as a starter.

If we get granger I'm saying we win the ring.

Does Granger move the defensive needle for the Clippers better than World Peace does? I mean Clips are 2nd in offensive efficiency. Does it make more sense to add a guy who will help you more so on the defensive end?

I would say yes. Both are not close to 100% because of injuries but Granger is the younger, longer player and moves his feet better. Plus, adding granger in the starting 5 will only make our offensive efficiency better for our bench

Darren Collison, Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes, Big Baby, (who cares).... that is a pretty good bench if you ask me.
