Should Clips go for this? You see in the highlights he has a nice little mid-range game. He also is a big body and has played for Doc Rivers before. I really like him ....

He should be our #1 target. If we can't get him I will be extremely bummed.

Maybe the reason we thinned our roster out,saw this coming. I am surprised with all the Doc hatred though.

It's not really a redemption if this was his plan all along. We all knew good players were going to get bought out eventually, Doc was just the only one with the patience to see it happen.

Speaking of undersized guys...I presume Ivan is a better defender than him, which is what I think the focus should be.

In general, I trust a guy who has managed to stay in the NBA for 7 years is at least somewhat better at defense than someone who had to go play in China because no one wanted him.

Glen Davis is undersized (height-wise), but he's less undersized than Johnson. I would much rather have someone who is at least 6 foot 10 for a backup big, but beggars can't exactly be choosers at this point.

He suffered an an achilles injury on Wednesday. Buyer beware, as if you shouldn't be before that happened.

That is fair, although a large part of why Big Baby is in the L is because of his scoring.

You cannot pass up on a guy like this. Doc obviously knew more than we did when it looked like the Clippers were going to stay pat through trade deadline all of a sudden the....

If Glen Davis becomes available you can bet the Clippers will be interested. Doc said the two still text and talk earlier this season

So many people will owe Doc a HUGE apology if he can sign Big Baby, Granger and Ivan. I'll start prepping the Crow.

Yeah baby!! Bring on big baby! This would be a huge pickup! Now if we can pick up Johnson also we would be set on our bigs! Who knows what happens with granger but he would be a great sf option for us and we kept collision and Reggie!

If we get Davis, granger and Johnson. Man this will be a dangerous team!!!

A lot of things have to go our way, but hopefully it happens!

Is Davis a good defender?

Damn, I've been playing basketball for the Last 4 hours and just saw this article on Bleacher Report, Got so Excited, I love Big Baby..... Got my fingers crossed on this one. The article on bleacher report said :it's a virtual slam dunk for the Davis to sign with the Clip's. I hope it's true. Also heard that Jason Collins was also an option. I wouldn't mind that either. He won't be available till Friday though.

Though we wanted long wing players, this is going the opposite direction, his vertical jump is like 1inch, ingame probably the most blocked player in the league lol

Don't know how serious, but those type of injuries aren't good.

Dude ARE YOU KIDDING me? this guy was scoring like 20 a game a season ago, he's not a starter but can definitely be a Damn good backup, if we get Ivan, Davis, AND Granger that would be superb.

they said its just a sore achillies. we can rest him for a couple games if we pick him up. he could be real useful during the playoffs.

I think, personally, if we sign Big Baby, then we should just forget about Ivan. They are both a bit undersized so it wouldn't really work out too well, IMO...

I think sore achilles and all, Big Baby will sign with us and be ready to play in N.O.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Along with the Clippers, sources tell Yahoo others expressing interest in free agent to be forward Glen Davis include Miami, SA, BKN & GS.

Why is everybody acting like it's a done deal? I could totally see Golden State signing him just to keep him from us.

Davis is actually a good defender and the better defender.

The struggle here is waiting, but not waiting to long trying to see your options where you end up missing out on one guy and another guy you might be waiting for doesn't end up being waived or doesn't want to play for you.

We could really use Big Baby vs Memphis on Friday. Too bad they can't expedite this waiver process.

Let's hope he doesn't decide to go with another team. But the fact that Doc already coached him should help us in landing him.

Glen Davis would be a very nice addition, but is it a matter of going through a waiver process, or will he be a free agent able to choose whichever team to sign with?

Golden State only has about $300000 to spend, so they can't claim him off waivers (if they did that, they would be required to pay his full current salary of 6.4 million). Once Davis is off waivers, he can almost wherever he wants, and Golden State can't do a thing about it.

Definitely not a done deal, but having a team coached by the guy who got him a ring, a team that is a contender, and a team that desperately needs a third big man should swing the pendulum in the Clippers's favor.

Don't think so, he is injured according to the report.
