Earl could be our stretch 4. I liked him when I watched him with the Lakers.

I'm pretty sure Glen Davis will be a Clipper because of his history with Doc. But I'm hoping Danny Granger and Jason Terry join him. I know we have a lot of guards already, but Terry adds another weapon on offense that will help in the playoffs. I doubt the Kings keep him being that they are out of the playoffs and he will demand playing time.

Glen Davis, Jason Terry, Earl Clark and Danny Granger the clippers are going to be scoring 130 points a game too bad they will be giving up 130 points also. Clippers need more defense help and 3-pt shooting not guys who play no defense.

jason terry is the only one who doesn't have good defense. davis clark and granger have average/above average defense.

I could definitely see him going to Brooklyn if not us, but I still think we are a clear front runner.

Glen should come here. More playing time to be had. Better team

I don't trust Brooklyn... they could always give him some under-the-table $$$ like they allegedly did to get Kirilenko.

This signing is far from the certainty that people are portraying it to be.

Brooklyn seem pointless for him, they already have Garnett, Evans, Teletovic, Kirilenko, Plumlee and Blatche who can play up front.

INSIDER TAKE:

The Orlando Magic and forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis have been at odds with each other for a while and Thursday they decided to part ways. According to Yahoo! Sports, the two sides have agreed to a buyout and the details could be finalized on Friday.

Once Davis hits the free agent market he's going to garner a lot of interest from Brooklyn, Golden State, LA Clippers, Miami and San Antonio.

The Clippers, with three open roster spots following Thursday's trades, could be the frontrunner to land Davis as he played well in Boston under head coach Doc Rivers. Now that Rivers is coaching the Clippers, he will surely be calling Davis. All the Clippers can offer Davis is the pro-rated veteran minimum.

Davis is on the books for $6.4 million this season and $6.6 million in 2014-15, but those numbers will reduce for the Magic as part of the buyout amount, which is unknown at this time.

why in the world are people wanting jason terry? He's an over the hill small who hasn't shot the ball well in 2 years and can't defend whatsoever

I would low key rather take Clark over Ivan if we are able to get baby Davis and granger

For now I'd like all of Davis, Johnson and Granger. I also wouldn't be against cutting Green to add Delonte West after the CBA is wrapped up. Passing on one of Ivan/Davis for a longer big like Chris Johnson might be ok too.

Me too. Plus in Doc's playoffs he isn't a fan of 5 man units. He always like DJ or Blake in. You run Glen Davis with Dj and Ivan with Blake. Thar way there is always a defensive presence on the floor. While either Blake or Dj get rest

I think they will sign Big Baby and sasha (to another 10 day). I don't think we will get Granger and don't think Doc wants Ivan.

With all the money that Russian billionaire owner threw out there for that team sure didn't help much.

80% chance Big Baby signs with us.

The more I think about it the more someone like Collins makes more sense than Ivan. Would be nice to have someone that can D up DHoward or Timmy for stretches.

We don't need guards, there's no minutes. So, no to Jason Terry and no to Ben Gordon. If we believed Gordon was still capable in the right situation, he would make sense if we had traded Jamal for a solid player, but that would be presumptive, and if he didn't get waived after, you loose out. Also, can't really predict if he fits as seamlessly, if he can still scorer with volume and efficiency like he used to.

Davis makes sense, he can play PF, and C against most matchups. Again, shot selection is his main issue, he is very trigger happy, and those guys always struggle with grasping good shot vs bad shot. Still, he can defend and he does pull out defenders.

Granger is a good option just because of the fact that his previous skill level is known. It does give us too many forwards though.

Collins doesn't do anything positive on the basketball court anymore. Just run a pick and roll and he's too slow footed. He's useless on offense, he doesn't rebound well. He's just not a good basketball player.

Nets Paul Pierce plans on giving ex-Celtics teammate Glen Davis a call, but added it could be "tough" to keep him from joining Doc in LA.

I wouldn't be against cutting Green to add the right guard if one became available, but for the three spots we have I'd go big, big, sf.

Granger would easily be the starter here and get more minutes. I don't know why he wouldn't pick us.

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo 1h

On KG's sales pitch to free agent Big Baby, Nets Pierce joked:"I don't know. KG made him cry one time so he might not want to be around KG."

Hopefully he remembers that

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1h

Any amount Clips or Nets pay Big Baby to sign for rest of season will be subtracted from amount Orlando owes him, so Nets' DPE not an edge

Remember when Doc yelled at Big Baby to "GET UP!" and he went zig-zagging down the court. I said to my wife "Now THAT'S heart".

Danny Granger and his representatives are anxious to negotiate a buyout with the Sixers, but it's not a foregone conclusion that the Sixers will agree to one, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com (All Twitter links). Stein identifies the Heat, Spurs and Thunder among teams that would be in the mix for the 30-year-old, but it's unclear whether those are Granger's preferred destinations or teams with legitimate interest. The notion of keeping him around for a possible sign-and-trade this summer appeals to the Sixers, Stein notes while also pointing out that Granger would no longer have Bird rights if the....

I read the Clippers are looking at Ivan Johnson too. Maybe he's a just in case kind of option. That guy was a beast in Atlanta though.

Thanks. I guess it makes sense since the team's trying to tank.

If we do get him, I needa apologize to Doc for not doing anything before trade deadline. Getting Glen for league minimum is the best possible deal.
