That was the year Dirk & co. Beat OKC 4-1 and then beat Miami 4-2 for the championship! And now, with these last two signings, I think Doc and his staff can accomplish what....

While it's a nice thought, Miami was just put together that same year so it's really not the same. Comparing a 2011 team and it's competition to this team and it's competition is not fair to either teams. I still think we need a lot to prove to be put in the same light.

We might be better than that Dallas team, but Miami is 3x the team they were then.

2011 Mavs would've gotten swept by the 2013 Heat.

Redick is Butler for obvious reason

Barnes is Stevenson

DJ is Chandler

BG is Dirk

Granger is Marion

Collison is barea

CP is the combo of Terry and Kidd

Davis is Haywood.

Yea I see the similarity

If you watch almost every game you would know that Caron Butler had nothing to do with that win.

An observation: Dallas had Dirk playing out of his mind -- better than any one single player I have ever seen in a post season. It was a one-in-a-million convergence of talent, desire, biorythms, matchups and a seven footer shooting better than any guard on the planet that post season. I do not expect anyone -- even Blake who is having a better year than Lebron and who is, I think, the best player in the NBA right now -- to do a Dirk this year or any year for that matter. Even the overhyped Lebron needed Manu to miss a free throw in order to win the chip last year. Dirk didn't need anyone but Jason Terry to come through for his squad.

As a Lakers fan, I would say to you LTBers, enjoy the moment. You are getting front row seats for what was a common occurrence in Lakersland all these years. Enjoy the surprise aquisitions like Big Baby and Granger that used to be hallmarks of the Lakers when players like Horry and Fox joined up to push the Lakers over the top. Enjoy having a real coach like Doc -- I know I loved having a real coach in Phil Jackson.

Although some tell me it is my duty to hate the Clippers, I feel, as I said, that it says Los Angeles on your uniforms. Guess where I live? LOL!

No go rip up the rest of the NBA and knock those egocentric Mt. Rushmore jerks off their pedestal. Maybe I haven't earned the right to be called a Clippers fan, but I do have the right to hope the Clippers go all the way!

I'd Mach rather do what the Heat did starting 2012, win twice Smile
