I've been a Clipper Fan since 1992 and a HARD CORE CLIPPER FAN since 2005 when The Lakers traded away Shaq and not Kobe. It was another reason why I think Kobe was such a punk. Dude, just wait until Shaq gets older and then it will be your team. To force the hand there when you have a championship team and more chance at rings, was ridiculous. I was SO PISSED when the Pau Gasol trade went down and gave Kobe a chance at more championships and to his credit, he won two more. No doubt, Kobe is one of the top 10 best players to ever play and possibly Top 5. But as the years go by and his character comes out... we will see his true colors. And as his skills diminish and he no longer wins... and the Lakers stay irrelevant, we will see the true colors of Laker fans... some who are decent, but others who have been some of the most arrogant fans in the history of sports.
ONE Bad season and look at how they're acting this year. They are so entitled.
This is why I don't just wish for The Clippers to win a championship but for the Lakers to toil in misery for 5 years. They really need to experience it for at least 5 years to get a taste.
To have one bad year and say "now we know what its like to be Clipper fans" is an insult and slap to our face. KOBE, STFU. We'll see you next year when the Lakers will won't have an excuse. And with Kobe + Nash + Lottery pick + free agent, they will be the 9th seed for the next two years.
Here's the thing though... and we all know it. The only way to really win, is to win it all. And with Blake's dramatic improvement this year, and his work ethic....
This is the most excited I have EVER been as a Clipper Fan, as a basketball fan.... I think we all are.
