Length seems to be the theme this year in the NBA. Indiana has it with Hibbert, Portland has it with Aldridge, GS has it w/Iguodola, SA has it, etc...

Granger showed us last night the kind of play we hope to see from him in the postseason, playing to All Star capacity. Not only with the phenomenal play he made in the 2nd half, saving the ball from going out of bounds (which looked near impossible in the replay), but also in stretching the floor end to end, hitting the 3 ball in transition, 6 rebounds, aggressive defense.

This appears to be a great acquisition for the Clippers heading into postseason. Keep in mind that a number of teams were trying to get Granger but he chose to play for Doc Rivers. Giving him the playing time is good for Granger and good for the Clippers.

If he can keep up the quality play, I hope we can re-sign him.

I hope a reasonable deal could be in place by the end of the season. He does seem to be that missing piece on the team. He has the positive attitude with some grit, does all the small things like box out his man, rotate, and has prototypical size at his position. Hoping we can offload Dudley and give him something reasonable to have him stay.

Might even have to move both Duds and Barnes. That would clear about 9 million, should more than suffice for a guy like Granger and his injury history. Bullock can log in minutes as the backup 3.

Granger lost his Bird Rights when he was bought out, so offloading Dudley doesn't really help sign Granger, we'd still be over the cap and can only offer him the MLE, but we may need our MLE for a PG if Collison opts out or if we want another big.

Granger is starting to play pretty well. A few times while on the court I saw him throw up his hands in excitement.

I just really like the pickup BC now we have 2 defenders we can throw at Durant.

Also, having Barnes and Granger playing at the same time gives us a huge advantage BC teams like Portland, Memphis, OKC, and Golden state won't be able to switch their big defender on CP3 anymore

Yup, lock up Granger for next season.

Paul, Redick, Granger, Griffin, Jordan is the lineup I want to see starting from mid April to next year.

Plenty of decent cheap PG's available every year. Guys like Augustine, CJ Watson and plenty more are available annually.

It will be choice we need to make, that it might come down to choice between him and Collison. If we offer Granger our whole MLE, we have to accept that we will be looking at minimum players at a few other spots, but we've scrapped by with a lot of minimum players this year, so it would probably be fine.

I like Collison but retaining Granger is probably more important. Plenty of cheap backup PGs available but an arguably starting quality SF is not as easy to get.

Let's see how things play out before we start the clamor to re-sign Granger. We will be up against the cap wall next year which will make things a bit difficult. Granger of near old would make it a lot easier one to make if the $ are in the MLE range for 3-4 years.

I was aware of that, but don't we have to get under the cap to get the whole MLE instead of the mini-MLE (Or is it too late for that either way). I love Collison, but am more inclined to keep Granger than Collison if his level of play continues and/or improves. On top of that I wouldn't mind unloading Dudley for cap relief and flexibility during the offseason anyways. I don't think he has been fully healthy all season, but I prefer the combo of Danny and Matt over Dudley and either of them.

I also feel like a good wing player is more difficult to come by, over a serviceable back up point guard. Brooklyn got Livingston for the minimum, Chicago got DJ Augustin. Not to mention we are talking about a likely starter (eventually), over a back up.
