Can't lose easy games like this down the stretch. Showed our lack of mental toughness.

Who knows? All I want is for them to be rested and back in the coming days.

ALL teams try to win every single game. To suggest some teams only try hard against good teams is ridiculous. Nuggets just don't have the overall talent to compete in West, put them in the East and they'll have a good shot at 3rd.

Is Granger washed up already? I was expecting more production from him.

Lol same here, i just want the clippers to succeed in the PO and the best chance is to be 2nd or 1st in west

DJ played way too soft tonight. He let Faried walk all over him. Oh well, if we had just one Collison, Crawford, or JJ, we would've won. We had no production from guards other CP3. Just a bad situation for us.

Seriously? This was the second night of a back-to-back in the Denver altitude and Joey Crawford was the ref. That's basically the NBA's way of saying "**** you." The fact that it was even competitive was a pleasant surprise, honestly, I was expecting us to get blown out.

If you honestly expected Granger to go back to his all-star days at age 30 and after coming off a major injury, I don't know what to say.

He got double digit scoring. That's all I expected from him, and I'm satisfied in that regard.

Blake is already useless in the last few minutes he looks tired not jumping and doing defense yet Doc did not give him a rest, win or lose it won't change our position at 3.

Everyone choked Doc, Paul, Griffin and DJ. Paul had a layup when he passed to Reggie and BG/DJ got punked again by Hickson and Faried. Not really mad saw this coming just sucks Doc could not find a counter.

Exactly what I came online to say. Tired legs make for short jumpers. We had them in the penalty early in the 4th and we still ran plays for jumpers... good plays for a 1st quarter, but late and tired, we should have gone to the hole and gotten fouled. Doc sh!t the bed on this one.

Oh well... a few days off, then start a new streak.

Repped High Quality Post

Wow, we lose one game and people start making all sorts of idiotic posts. This was a SCHEDULE LOSS. No, it's not negativity as I was curtly told earlier today - it's just a fact of life in the NBA. To draw conclusions like "we're mentally weak" or "Granger's washed up" from a game we were never winning in the first place is moronic.

Ugh! This one goes on Doc in my opinion. I don't think Blake had a rest in the entire second half. Playing A rookie in closing minutes of a close game? Really? You have Dudley....

Good for you Jquick, you're growing on me. Sidenote; Maybe Doc kept Blake in for the whole 4th for a reason - Playoff lessons? Our destiny will become clear near the last few games of the season, a healthy, well-oiled team without this back-to-back refball bullshit. **** i hate losing.

In Doc's defense, our next game's on Saturday...

Wasn't only Doc's fault. This loss is on everyone. Doc's rotations were terrible, the effort by the players were terrible, and the execution was terrible. Just a terrible game. Clippers should have gotten blown out.

He scored 11 pts tonight and was 3rd leading scorer. He wasn't the problem. Our rebounding and guard play are the reasons we lost.

Just a stupid schedule that caught up with us. I'm not even mad at this loss. We still have an opportunity, even if the window is small for that 2nd seed. Like someone posted, why have a back to back and then 5 days of rest. Oh well. Time to get healthy.

They are going to have to sit on this loss for days. After these types of games you want a day rest and ball again.

Can anyone please tell me what's the point of a back to back game????? it's so unhealthy for viewers especially for the players!!!

I don't know about third, the Raptors are pretty good. Denver would have a good shot at 7th or 8th, but worth their injuries, etc, being in the East won't switch that 29-37 record to a 37-29 record, that's crazy. Maybe they are 31-35 instead, but that isn't getting them anything but 8th in the East.

Money.

IMO, they really need to cut down the number of games in a season. 82 is way too much.

Guard Play? We only have 1 , maybe 2! Willie was decent and Chris was better than usual. As far as I am concerned we have no guard play

To make an 82-game season work. It's so stupid and doesn't prepare anyone for the playoffs, but we have to just deal with it.

I don't think this loss will keep them awake at night. They all seem mentally focused for the bigger picture. They looked more drained than demoralized as they walked into the locker room.

I'm agreement with JQuick. We have everything nearly go wrong for us in this and the fact that we weren't blown out was a victory by itself. No way we lose this game with JJ, Crawford and Collison playing. Did Doc make mistakes with his subs? Yes. Did the team not go into the paint when they got Denver in the bonus? Yes, but they were tired on a back2back, playing in Denver. The team will learn from this and focus on the next game.

Why did this have to happen on national tv espn is going to kill us over the Blake and Paul cheap shots and losing the streak. Schdule softens up we really could use a injury return to boost morale during the off days. Get Crawford back or even bigger JJ update.

Denver is the running smaller version of us with a physical memphis style. They won't be overall great because lack of talent loss but hell of a matchup problem. Thankfully not in the playoffs.

The worst thing about this lose is that we are -1 on wings an added number on our injury list... just great!!!

Agreed. Denver is like 55-9 the past few years on games like these. At Home with the opposing team on Second Game of Back-to-Back.

LOL, people are still overreacting to the quirks of the NBA schedule. If Pop was our coach, he'd have rested all our starters tonight and played the bench.

Beautiful thing we won't have to see these guys or Memphis (hopefully not) in the playoffs. Only way I saw a win tonight is if the bench got hot and Jamal Crawford came back tonight hot with fresh legs. Dj fouling killed Blake and Doc panicked and could not pull him.

Agree with everything except "we were never going to win"... as we were - with no guards - you're probably right, but any one of a healthy JJ, DC or Jamal would have made the difference.

If we had DC or Crawford I would of preferred sitting Paul, Griffin, and Jordan and maybe just maybe we could of won. These guys were so dead legged by the end of the first a fresh unit could of fared better. Put Hollins to start at C and allow Davis to have a big to help rebound. Even rest Barnes and let Granger/Dudley combo go in. Pop knows how to use his combinations in his system and we had far to many injuries.

Speaking of Dudley even on a back to back not getting any burn he is official Gomes 0.5.

Remember when we were really concerned about front court depth because we were absolutely loaded at the guard spots?

Those were the days.

The refs were equally bad for both sides, our team had trouble catching the ball all night, our team had trouble shooting jumpers all night. Not blaming the refs, we played tired ball and deserved to lose, but the refs really sucked the fun out of this one, it was tough to watch

Off topic some but I hope Aaron Gordon falls to us. We could really use another strong athlete like a Faried to just catch finish and hustle. Have Blake take him under his wing and develop with Bullock long term OKC and Spurs style.

This game was lost last night when Blake and CP had to play the 4th quarter after the bench squandered the lead. Injuries and Collison being sick finally caught up to the team.

Use the next 4 days to get healthy and get rolling for the playoffs.

I'll take the 3-seed against anybody but Memphis. Faried, Hickson, and Mozgov killed us on the boards. Gasol, ZBo, and Koufus will do the same.
