Hey what's up guys. I'm a die hard Laker fan but I'm not here to make fun of your team or do anything like that. I actually like the direction of the Clippers. Although I don't like them, I can see them making the playoffs but one thing should worry some of you. He is 29 and he is going to be 34 and receiving 13 million dollars. I know some of you can counter and say Kobe will be getting paid 24 million when he's 32.
Baron is very injury prone and you wouldn't want an Allan Houston on the team would you.
Baron Davis
Eric Gordon
Al Thornton
Tim Thomas
Chris Kaman
These 5 are not bad but other than that, this team has no depth.. If they can't resign Elton, I see this team winning around 44 games.
Peace out. |

I agree with part of this. We do not have a lot of depth and Baron is prone to injuries, but we have to remember that he played all 82 games last year averaging nearly 40 minutes a game. And if they can't sign Elton, I see the Clippers winning far less than 44; however it is likely that they will.
Welcome by the way |

| i disagree, with Kaman improving last year and Elton being a great player if we resign elton i think we will be good. Plus if Livingston comes back i think Baron is a great player for livingston to learn from. So in his last years if livy is there he should pick up any slack baron leaves |

| You got a point. At the same time the development of the second unit of will depend alot on the coaches and veteran leadership, these guys could develop faster then expected. For the subs you got, Livy, Gordon, Thomas, Ross(maybe), Jordan(maybe), P. Davis(maybe), Fazekas, Powell, and Williams. If I forgot someone sorry. These guys are not gonna be expected to get more than 20-30 points a night. If they can, then the Clips might be able to truly surprise some people. An upgrade for any of those subs would be nice but with most of our money gone its not expected. 09 season will bring some more intrigue because Mobley and Thomas will have one year left on their contracts making them more attractive to other teams that are looking to shrink their cap room. So even if they don't make some serious damage this coming season in the playoffs, maneuvers can still be done next year to improve the team even further. We are probably one or two pieces away from a title. Hopefully. |

Ye of little faith. Our only weakness is SF
When we sign EB it looks like this
CK/Powell. He'll be a lot better
EB/TT If you put a gun to his head he can be a creditable starter
Al/Q I think it's possible
Cat/Gordon Guys Cat's gonna start
His Highness/BK
What's your problem? This ain't deep? This is pretty much our starters last yr. |

| You're right HipClip. Hopefully the starters from last year will be able to contribute knowing they won't have the pressure of being starters like last year. |

Although im new here I'm wondering why a Laker fan would take the time to register to a Clipper forum just to begin with.
But i agree, we do need a bit more depth.
Let's hope Jordan can play to his full potential. |
