| seem like golden state is trying to get back at us and offer bran a max deal idk but thats something we clipper fans should be worried |

| Or they are trying to punish us by making us offer Brand even more to retain him, sqeezing out every available dollar we have left. It benefits them if we are broke and can't sign anybody else. |

| I dont know some players can get endorsements that help out on the salary. while golden state can offer more money he can make more because la has a great market. With the addition of a hometown favorite the clippers may start getting better endorsements. Maybe eb can still sign for less and we get a quality free agent. |

It seems like Baron Davis would not have agreed to sign unless he knew that Brand would be there too. I'm sure they are coordinating. At least I hope. |

I really don't see why EB would take that offer.
The reason he opted out was to make the Clips get another star.
We did; i see him coming back. |

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Wednesday night that the most likely scenario remains Brand re-signing with L.A. and ultimately teaming with Davis no matter what the Warriors present. One source said that Brand, during negotiations on a contract extension in June, specifically told Clippers management that Davis was the player he hoped they'd pursue if he became available in free agency.
There are a number of reasons Brand likely won't leave the Clippers. He has a longstanding friendship with Davis, Golden State's young roster now lacks a proven point guard and Falk said Monday that Brand has been inspired to make the talent around him a top priority given what happened in Boston this season with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. |
