According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Danny Granger will miss Saturday's matchup against the Houston Rockets.

Danny Granger won't play Saturday at Houston because of a strained left hamstring, per Clippers.

- Brad Turner (@BA_Turner) March 28, 2014

In last night's victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Granger left the game early in the fourth quarter with what was later diagnosed as a sore left hamstring. While he was labeled questionable, he never returned to the floor finishing with 2 points in 10 minutes of play.

Doc says Danny Granger (left hamstring strain) was sent back to LA for treatment. He will not play for remainder of road trip.

This is upsetting, he needs to play more to get a hang of the defense and continue to get his instinctive offense to 100%.

He played pretty poorly in New Orleans recently. Still a beast though, sky is the limit with Granger on our roster.

Get well soon, Danny. Clippers need you 100% healthy for the playoffs.

^^I heard on the broadcast that he is trying to be ready for the playoffs, so it seems likely that he won't play in the final regular season games. Jamal is on the same boat I believe.

Ultimately, you want your Big Three healthy. That is 85% of the ball game. Other teams will have injuries, too. Luckily, JJ is back and if Jamaal Crawford is healthy, I think Doc can live without the luxury of Granger. I would make this deal right now: Everyone 100% healthy and Granger unavailable until the second series.

I reckon we would all make that deal cos 100% healthy is actually unrealistic. Professional sports people particularly NBA players are always going to have some niggles at least after a long season.

I hope all of them can play together in our last two games as warm up before the first game of the playoff so they can still adjust to each others game.

How did he strain his hamstring anyway?

Wonder if Barnes needs rest as well has been grabbing his hamstring often.

The one I worry most about is BG. I think he is hurting but doesn't want to appear "soft" by sitting out. We NEED him to be healthy in playoffs.

Pop is famous (or notorious) for resting his stars at season's end. He got in trouble but he's won rings. Play our bench a lot. I wonder if an injury is hurting BG's shot. You can't go from superb to sucking that fast (of course you can but that sounded good). I'd definitely rest Jamal till 100%.

Does anyone have an update on Danny? Is he expected to be able to play in the playoffs?

I think that's why Doc is overly cautious with him. He's saving him for the playoff

His elbow is big again, he should drain it Again... or at least that's what I saw, anyone else see that big ball in his elbow?

Yeah. Its his bursa sac. Its not just a thing. It continues to fill up and swell. He has to get it drained every now and then. Probably will get it drained before playoffs. I....

Isn't a little late for Granger to be used during the playoffs? It is one thing to participate in practice and attend team meetings. It's another to play in game and work well with your teammates. At this point, I think Granger would cause more harm than help if he played in the playoffs.

We could at least use him sparingly to D up some of the tougher small forwards we're bound to see. Hope he heals up in time.

hamstring injuries.... I don't think Granger got surgury so it shouldn't be 3 months.. they say 1 month for a bad tear.. How long has Granger been out?

Original post said "strain"... That should be 2-3 days rest.. is it really a strain or a tear? Interesting..

There is strain, Pull, and Tear.... If it is indeed a pull

Hamstring Strain

This is the least severe of all the hamstring injuries. A strained hamstring usually occurs when you are using that muscle more often than usual. For example, you may have mowed your lawn for the first time during the season when the grass is somewhat overgrown. Pushing that lawn mower has put a strain on your hamstring and you feel a twinge or a slight burning sensation. Stop what you're doing and ice your hamstring to reduce the swelling and discomfort. A hamstring strain probably calls for a day or two of rest, followed by an elastic bandage wrap before resuming activity.

Danny said: "he'll practice and be ready for the playoffs and that he's been running at a 100 percent and could have played Wednesday.

Good to hear! Turk, Dudley, and Granger are vital when the warriors decide to play small ball.

Seems like it would be the first time all year that we have completely healthy roster. Good timing!

Only thing I worry about is the chemistry. Aside from that, I'm excited that them team is fully healthy. #fullsquad lmao

Me too but the first round matchup should give our team time to jell. The Warriors don't worry me especially with no Bogut.

Doc Said last week he would hold him out for the rest of the year so he could be ready for the playoffs. I don't know about you guy's but I think Doc has done a masterful job of managing minutes and getting everybody healthy to start the playoff..... I applaud him. I hopefully there's no rust with Danny and Jamal and J.J and CP3 can stay on Rythem, I want a sweep, I'm tired of those Talkers. Great News!!!

That reach he has poses problems for other players. Also, his shooting looked great last night and he was a catalyst for our bench. To this day I was shocked that the Pacers just let him go like they did.

Yeah, and look at the garbaaage team they have become. From the White House to the Out House. Just about.

Sometimes teams make mistakes as to undervaluing a player. The Pacers seemed to have done so with Granger, the Lakers did with Barnes, and to be honest we did with Zach Randolph. It's the nature of the business, but hopefully teams start getting more for their players rather than just letting them go via wavers.
