With the rockets loss tonight we are 3 games ahead of them. If we lose all the rest of our games and the rockets win we own the tie-breaker against with head to head record(4-0) not to mention we won our division. First 3rd seed in franchise history if I'm not mistaken! Woohoo!!

The Thunder still havent clinched the 2nd seed. There is still a chance we can get it , but the Thunder would probably have to lose out and we would have to win out. I....

Agreed. Only for the game that has no playoff implications. Denver will not affect seeding , but the Portland game could determine who we play in the first round

If that as unlikely as it is was to happen, we would still be tied 2-2 in the season series and it would be based on the other tie breaker option which I don't currently remember.

Thunder will probably go hard to win that one more game and then chill from there

^ I agree that it's very unlikely, but if they lost their next 2 and we won our next 2, we'd get the #2 based on conference record.

OKC lost to the Pelicans tonight so the #2 seed is still in play. Of course if the Thunder lose to the Pistons, they have more problems than being the #3 seed. It looks like Memphis will be the #7 seed if they can beat the Mavs next game. I don't know how great it would be to be the #2 seed. I think I'd rather face the Warriors without Bogut.

I feel so bad for the suns and their fans. I just wanted Memphis to be on the outside looking in, can't stand them.

The Suns definitely deserved it more, they played their asses off all year and defied expectations. Memphis spent half the year pouting because Hollins got fired and didn't start playing for real until later in the season.

On the bright side (pun fully intended), the Suns will get a top ten lottery pick. If they choose correctly, they could very well move from surprise team to legitimate contender in a few years, especially if this draft class lives up to what people have been saying about it.

The NBA better not give us a 12 or 12:30 p.m. game, we deserve the 7:30 p.m. game where our crowd is fully alive.

Agreed. I think we all wanted the Suns to get through but Memphis' experience won out. Must be really hard for the Suns team and fans, so near and yet so far.

The Lakers aren't in the playoffs this year, so the Clippers don't have to share Staples Center with them. Hopefully they can work around the Kings' schedule though.

My guess is the early games will probably go to the Eastern conference.

Good news on the 3rd seed front, Bogut has broken ribs, if our bigs dominate the paint defensively and offensively our guards will take care of the perimeter and we will dominate Golden State! Doc should just rest the guys now we don't need the 2nd seed.

I live in San Francisco, so will be going to one of the games in Oakland (and maybe both). The rumor from inside the Warriors is that assuming everything stays the same, the Clips will be up here Thurs the 24th for a 730 game and a 1 PM game on Sat the 26th. Pretty quick turnaround...

I didn't know where to post this but bogus is out for the rest of the playoffs and I find it funny how mad the fans are and how little it is they know about basketball and how they love to troll

But I thought we were the scared ones? Will our resident Warriors troll even show his face again after the series?

Blake is always motivated to play the warriors. I doubt CP would let Curry get off in this series

This matchup is the best for us. Even though I think we'd beat Dallas/Memphis anyway, going up against a team with a championship pedigree or a team that plays bush league basketball would be exhausting.

I cannot wait for this series! I posted this in previous Warriors vs Clippers threads but I moved to NorCal almost two years ago and their fans are really annoying. I can't stand 99% of them.

I made a bet with my coworker that the loser of this series must wear the other teams merchandise for an entire week. We work at one of the biggest and busiest gyms in the country and it's filled with Warrior fans. They all know I'm a diehard Clipper fan because I always wear Clippers shirts and wear my Blake and D Miles jerseys on Fridays when we're allowed to wear sports jerseys to work. Basically, I'm going to get a lot of crap if the Clippers lose (they won't).

That said I'm all set and ready to go for the playoffs. Clippers store online, just had a sale for jerseys at 50% off and. I bought myself a road red Blake jersey, #backinblue sleeved CP3 jersey. Also got my little brother in law and my daughter road red Blake jerseys (she already has a red CP onesie that she's growing out of.)

Long post, but, to put simply, I cannot wait. Glad to face the Warriors and shut them and their fans up. I'm calling it now -- get your brooms out! We're going for a sweep!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I said it!

OKC loses 1 and we win.... we jump to #2 seed.. thoughts????

If OKC loses to Detroit at home (extremely unlikely) then we can make the decision to hold some starters for our final game. Our game is after theirs so we will know the result. We can control that, if we want to.

Now for me, I'd prefer to be #2 seed. But, I can see the argument the other way, so just let Doc Rivers decide.

I think Dallas might be a slightly tougher out than the warriors, but it would be worth it to have that 2nd round game-7 at home. Wait and see how the Grizz/Mavs game goes, and if the Mavs pull it off, play to win. If not, phone it in.

Either way, OKC really holds all the cards if they'd rather play the duds or have 2nd round home court.

Does GSW hold the tie breaker over Mavs and Griz? because if GSW loses they will be tied with which ever team wins the Mavs Griz game... we could still end up with Griz at 6

Griffin and Reddick will not play our final game (with Griffin missing a game by the rules due to his last technical).

LA Times made it seem like it doesn't matter because Doc is leaving Blake and JJ behind (and maybe Jamal),for this meaningful/meaningless game. Meaningful because of the small possibility we move up to 2nd,meaningless because does anyone think OKC loses to DET, unless on purpose because they fear DAl and want to play GS(?).

Detroit has already locked in the 8th worst record so they might put up a fight if okc wants to tank it.

but OKC are 14 point favorites

I want official bragging rights against the Warriors. Without Bogut, we can push these guys around.
