I think it's our bench as awhile.that's where our biggest advantage are

We all know what we're getting from everyone, since they're all contributing pretty consistently. We have the best offense in the league, nobody can stop it defensively.

What teams can do though, is send us to the line.

That OKC game, Blake missed 2 key FTs, DJ went 2-8, CP3 (though I ain't worried about him shooting FTs) missed a crucial one as well. 21-34 from FT overall, and that's the game.

Yesterday King's game, DJ went 3-11 from the line.

I think the key is as simple as DJ and Blake being able to hit FTs. OKC and Spurs are both around 80%.

If we can shoot close to 77-80% at FT (right now at 73%), then we got a decent shot at winning.

Free throws and rebounding. Our guards need to do a better job preventing penetration.

Everything. If they play a tough well rounded game, nobody can beat them.

There will be different key(s) for different opponents, but if I had to pick one overall I'd say it's Blake and DJ defending our paint without fouling. We're already middle-of-the-pack in rebounding. Take out one of our top-2 guys and we're giving up more shot attempts, which is a definite no-no in the postseason.

I think you answered your own question by putting that last option in there, lol

I say "The Other Guys".... Chris will be Chris, Blake will be Blake, DJ will be DJ... Its the guys who "dont" draw the double team... Guys like Redick, Jamal, Collison, Granger and the rest of the guys.

it's gotta be blake. slowed down game in the playoffs means more emphasis on him in half-court sets. he had a nice regular season, but now is the time for him to truly make a name for himself.

Its all about Blake throughout the PO.

I don't consider this a "key" per se but I think we'll only have to face one of the top 2 teams, Spurs or OKC. With Memphis playing one of them in the 1st round, and with Houston playing San Antonio in the 2nd round, one of those teams will be upset I think.

I think it may be JJ. If he is moving well and hitting his shots, it is nearly impossible to defend this team.

I think the D will be good, especially with Doc and crew game planning.

So who do you think will be the x factor for our team in the postseason?

Aside from blake & cp3, who will step up?

matt barnes showed up last year vs memphis, jamal was underwhelming.

I hope Collison and Granger surprise us in a good way

Having said that we need Jamal to keep doing what he does.

Definitely Collison. He can cause problems for Parker and Curry.

Our bigs gotta be BIG, then everything else will fall in place, if bigs anchor our defense they don't stand a chance!

I think the X-factor for our team is our fourth quarter scoring for everyone not named Chris Paul. If everyone works hard to score and plays good team basketball without relying on CP or even Crawford to take over, we will be fine.

I think it's Deandre Jordan. Truthfully offensive firepower

has proven not to be a problem even with as many

injuries as we have had.

IF DJ continues to play like he has these last 5 or so

games we will be unstoppable.

His defensive activity has been great as of late.

Seems like he finally understands how to guard the

pick n roll without over trapping every time.

His offensive rebounds have been key as well. Timely

O rebounds and tap outs will give us the edge.

I think that DJ,Blake,Barnes,Jamal, and CP will step up as they are the returning core from last years debacle. They all will be locked in and ready to redeem themselves especially in the first rd.

Blake Griffin when the pressure's on. In the last 6 minutes, he needs to be pleading for the ball. If we run the Vinny offense with CP3 and Jamal isolating, I don't see us advancing far.

It has to be Jamal. He needs to play exactly how he has been playing all season. Hopefully he doesn't play like he did last year.

The defense is the most important thing. If they play great defense then I believe they can win the championship

Last year it can be argued that it was matt Barnes and I don't think he will regress and he's been balling it up. Our X factors I believe are DJ, Collison, and Jamal

I think there will be a few players to step it up in each series. I think Blake will impose his will then it will be CP3, while DJ maintaining consistent play. Predictions as far other players stepping up are: JJ against the Warriors, followed by Danny against OKC, followed by DC against the Spurs, and finally Jamal in the Finals (everyone pitching in all the games just these guys having great series against said teams).

You guys should watch the beat on nba.com for dark horses, Sekou and DA both picked the Clippers as the dark horses of these playoffs.

J.J. Redick is the key. The opponents will play trap defense on Chris Paul and force him to pass and then deny the return pass. The Clippers need a player to hit the wide open 3. J.J. is the best candidate. I assume that Blake and Jordan will continue to dominate the middle.

A few weeks ago, I would've said JJ. I mean it's still close for me. Everybody needs to do their job to get the win though. The most important in my opinion is DeAndre Jordan. Rebounds are gonna be very important. Especially with a lot of shooters around. No doubt we need CP3 and Blake. We're talking about the "X-Factor" though. DJ is the guy.

I am not worried about Blake Griffin, he will get his, but if we want to make a deep playoff run we need Chris Paul to also average around 23 points and then either JJ or Redick to score atleast 17. If this happens we will go far.

I "want" to say "the other guys". But Blake has to be Blake and CP3 has to be CP3.. If the bring it... I don't think anyone can touch us. Crawford and DJ are just as important. JJ finds his shooting touch again and we are unstoppable.
