For those that can't/wont understand our outrage and disappoint towards the refs and missed calls....
As a long time Clipper fan, something inside tells me this success is limited, an aberration. I've seen some good teams in the past, but NOTHING like what we have now. Clearly it's the best Clipper team ever. But there's a nagging feeling that I should enjoy this all I can, while I can. Every missed shot, every turnover, ever bad foul, is a missed opportunity that won't come again.
I've spent 30 years being maligned by fans of other teams (which at times was justified), and feel very defensive in all regards. I've also made a point to enjoy the success without rubbing it in the face of others too much, knowing our success is thus far short lived and could revert back quickly.
I alredy feel the Clippers are little respected, demeaned, and given little chance of real success (and if you're a Laker fan, it's undeserved success). Seeing all these missed/bad calls really feeds into this long lived frustration, and easily begets resentment.
We have the better team, but gave the 1st game away with poor ball handling, abysmal shooting and at times looked like a bunch of rookies.....even if the refs handled it like a pre-season game.
