I can't believe this team still has the nerve to talk **** after they lost by 40. It's a joke.

Jermaine might be right though. I mean obviously if all the fans that goes there cared as much as we do here then we'll have the best fanbase. Many people that watch the game are just whatever like celebrities that aren't really fans but just want to see a basketball game. Can't compare it to Oklahoma or some team with hillbillies. Most of those people actually care because that's the only thing they can watch there. Its LA man...

The players will wake up tomorrow with the mindset of getting ready for game 3 in Oakland where the home cooking is good and they have a great chance of bouncing back and taking a 2-1 series lead. Best of 5 series now, with 3 at home. They'll take it.

The problem I see it is that we have been so bad for so long and this is Lakers town (got to admit it) our fan base is rather small. This is why other teams can come in during a playoff game and still make their presence felt.

The bandwagon fan, the celebrity fan of basketball, Drake who seems to cheer for whom ever wins, people who want to look cool, those fans do not wear the red shirts thus looks even less red and less loud.

The long suffering fan knows we love this team. The new era fans love this team. The problem is the others who take up seats just to be there and take away the opportunity for the rest of us to be even louder and wear our colors with pride.

I have ghosted LTB for years now, and this dude "Baadmaster" has always been favorable to the clippers. He is above all a laker fan but one who I can say has always been giving our squad its just respect. be nice to him guys welcome him here

You've got to be kidding me. They are a dead team walking. It's like playing a JV squad. I honestly wouldn't be worried if we were down 0-3 and heading to Oracle for 4.

The players will wake up tomorrow with the realization that this 40-point beatdown in a playoff game wasn't just a bad nightmare, but a stark reality, and that they were outclassed from start to finish.

National TV announcers whistling "sweet georgia brown" through the highlights is pretty demeaning, and when they realize that their coach has nothing for them beyond his "strategy" of trying to get the best player in the series ejected, they'll roll over.

Sweet dreams!

There's only ONE rule that constitutes someone as being a fan of a team or not, and that's if you enjoy watching that team.

No one can say you don't enjoy watching the Clippers just because you haven't put enough hours in as a Clipper fan. That's silly.

We are clearly clearly better than a bogut-less team but weird stuff happens at oracle. I'm scared, even though we are better. Warriors are hoping for bogut to return or even that fetus guys.

The Dubs aren't even that good at Oracle this year. We'll probably blow them out in game 3 and then the refs will be on us in game 4 so it'll be tight, but I wouldn't be surprised to take that one either. Just look at their team and look at our team. That play where Griffin posted up Stephanie was a perfect depiction of the matchup: men against boys. They are probably content just to be on the same floor as us.. it's quite an honor for their franchise & city.

Not sure what forum to put this in, but what adjustments will preacher and company make in game 3?

Also, while warriors were just ok at home, we didn't win there.

Repped High Quality Post

One game @Oracle we didn't have CP3. The other game we lost Blake due to the BS ejection. Now we have both guys and they don't have Bogut, who is probably their most important player for this series since he is the only guy who has even a chance at defending Blake. So it's not the same.

As far as strategy, I'm sure Mark Jackson will do what he does best: pray. Specifically: pray, lose, strip club in that order.

They'll double-down on trying to instigate Blake into fouls/techs. If he'd played the 4th, he might well have gone off for 50... they have no answer for him.

Jackass can't not double him after tonight. All he needs to do is keep his cool and make plays. I expect a big game from CP3, since he hasn't had one yet and the attention Blake will get will open him up for 30+ points, 15+ assists or both.

Their backcourt will shoot better at home, but it won't be enough if we bring the same intensity as we did tonight. Clips by 9.

Great win! That's the clipper team I know! Crushing the flopping, dirty Warriors is the best feeling!!! If the refs didn't take Blake out of game1, it would easily be 2-0. Unfortunately the warriors got lucky but that happens in sports. We can't get over confident. We clearly should win game 3 and 4 but it won't be easy and the warriors could easily get lucky again.

It's time!!!

If Blake gets doubled (which he probably will), He has to make good passes, and the others have to make wide open shots. Ball movement will be key and making open shots as well. They can't take away everything. They will make others beat them. Everyone has to be ready.

That's nice of Doc to try to make things more even (like in PE class where you would swap one of your good players for the other team's slow footed white kid). However, he should consider that this is the pros and it's in our best interest to get this series over with fast.

Agree. Hopefully the Memphis OKC series goes long and they wear each other out. We need to finish off GSW ASAP and avoid injuries. Hopefully Cp3's hamstring and JJ's back hold up!

I almost feel sorry for Dudley. He seems like a really nice guy but this wasn't a good fit for him. I hope he and the team reach an agreement this summer to part ways. His decline was embarrassing - from starter to 12th man. Poor guy.

Barnes is still on contract. Hopefully we can resign granger. Then we could trade Dudley. Dudley has been a true professional like Willie. I do feel a little bad for him.

There are two teams that tend to play us very physical and some times dowright dirty: the Golden State Warriors ad the Memphis Grizzlies. Throughout the season they can get amped for our matchups because we face each other once every 15 or so games, but when its a seven game series and the adrenaline is no longer there for them things will settle down and the team with better talent comes through. I believe that's what we are going to see with the Warriors. Their intensity isn't there for them as it was in game one.

Sometimes I do feel sorry for him, but that was a product of his own doing. His fate was always in his own hands, and there was even a strech of games where he did have a comeback, but even that too was short lived. In the end Dudley will be one of the cautionary tales for players who think they can get by on talent alone and not put in the time for proper conditioning

...and this is why we don't freak out and call the Clippers playoff prospects over after game 1, and sulk about how we thought this year was different, but we all know it will happen again anyways, sigh...

Now, it's not over, Warriors could go home and win 2 in a row and be up 3-1, do I think that will happen? No, but it's still early.

I'll keep with my prediction, we take game 3, lose game 4 and take 5 and 6, I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility to take game 3 and 4 and close it in game 5, but Blake could have foul trouble again.

Anyone else notice that DJ is playing almost 38 MPG?

There was a stretch when Paul's hamstring seemed to be bothering him. The groin, the thumb, the hamstring...every season. Any word on if he's feeling ok? Did he address if?

Well, that was quite an @$$ whoopin' administered to the Dubs last night. Must feel good for you guys. In the past seasons, the Warriors haven't lost a game this ugly. So this is new territory for the Warriors, and it will be interesting to see how they respond on Thursday night. Could go either way. The Clippers played great and took it to the Warriors. The Warriors at the same time did nothing to get on track, with the exception of a little life from Curry AFTER Doc stopped double teaming him. Other than that it was complete submission to a team they loathe. I hope they are plenty pissed and emerge from whatever funk they were in. And I hope that Jackson gets his head out of his cavity and finds an answer to the Curry double teams, decides to double team Griffin, and learns how to run effective rotations, a point of frustration all season for Warrior fans.

Enjoy your victory, Clipper Nation.

Both Clips and OKC slightly favored to win Thursday games on the road (-1.5)

Great win last night!!!! I like the adjustment Doc made by doubling Curry every time he went around the pick. When Curry split the double and drove into the lane, the Clippers punished him!

I think we can take game 3 but the key is going to be Blake's foul trouble. If he can finish the 1st quarter with 1 foul or less then we're in great position. Anything under 3 fouls before the half and we'll win because they have [b]NO answer for Blake.

If you want to get really technical, Golden State has lost by as many as 63 points before (a loss to the Lakers in 1972), so they clearly have been beaten down even worse than this.

We actually did Double Griffin in the third and it led to a few turnovers for him and a couple of Curry lay-ups if I'm not mistaken. I don't see any one man on our roster that can guard Griffin at this point. David Lee is just making it too easy for the Clippers to double curry he needs to make them pay, he is too good of a passer, scorer and shooter.

Dubs,

There was not a concerted effort to body and double him. And to let him have free reign--even in the second half when the game was out of hand--was a tactical error. I'm not taking anything away from Griffin, who as you correctly point out has really elevated his game. But Jackson needs to smother him with Green and have O'Neal/Speights ready to fly over for help. Bother him. Poke and prod him. Too bad Bogut is out, because they him on Griffin a lot and it worked well in at least containing him.

A double team to Blake will open up Barnes or Reddick, and Blake is a good lob passer to DJ. Blake doesn't need to score 25 points if he can draw a double team and open up a shooter. If they will do this I think Blake will will not hold the ball more than 3 seconds his eyes is always rolling to open guy. Thanks for the first game loss, they are fully awake, I expect the warriors to try to bounce back but with Docs ability to adjust his players game, we will finish the game at home.

Griffin did have two turnovers when double teamed last night. He's a great passer, so there's a big risk as you mention, but the guy has to be doubled and played physically.

1972? A great year. The first of three consecutive World Series for the Oakland A's.

But let's move it up 3 years to 1975. The Warriors one and only Championship in Oakland. Still, one more than the Clippers.

Yeah but your forgetting the fact that there is nobody on the Warriors team that can play him physically, he's just stronger and faster than anybody they put on him, and he was double teamed allot last night he was also shadowed in the lane by extra guy's witch led to a few defensive 3 seconds (probably should have been more).

Well everybody saw it even Doc, unfortunately double teaming him is not enough you need to break him or else he will be more physical in game 3 he is too big and too strong and too quick to both Oneal and Lee. The only reason GS won in game one was because of his fouls, He knows and Docs figure it out already. So I can't wait to watch game 3, hopefully Jackson will just play basketball instead of playing MIX MARTIAL ARTS. Smile

We aren't giving enough credit to JJ for last nights victory. He only had 9pts, but he essentially took Klay and Iggy out of the game in the 1st half.

I would credit a lot of Klay and Iggys fouls on fatigue from chasing Redick all the time. What a weapon he is.
