WOW,talk about nerds, those guys did the heavy lifting.

If you follow it more, they break it down for us saying we have an 82% chance. But what is cooler is if you revers that, the Duds have a 18% chance of pulling this off,not very good numbers for them.

I wonder if that factors in whiny coaches and whiny media that seems to influence games in the NBA.

I have a bad feeling that the refs are going to be one sided on sunday. The NBA wants this series to go long and the warriors are complaining and being babies about the last shot.

Just watched the OKC game, some horsesh*t, Paul almost made that half court 3 and got fouled and got only 2 Westbrook threw up a tiny lob and he gets 3 SMH!

And any Warriors fan still complaining about Blake's flopping, just... HOW CAN YOU dis Blake when Stephanie was flailing, and waving, and flopping, on EACH of those last few 3s he made. Gotta be kidding me.

That's exactly why the foul wasn't called. Curry initiated the contact. In the last seconds of a close playoff game, the refs aren't going to call a foul when the offensive player was the one who initiated the contact.

Finally, a Warrior not named Stephanie Curry talks and it ISN'T complete verbal diarrhea:

Pfffft...David Lee didn't "win" the battle against Blake Griffin in game 1. Blake only played 19 minutes due to all the bogus calls the refs called against him. So David Lee was gifted that game.

What is the context of that quote? Because it's like.. uh, no ****? "Hey David, Blake has dropped 70 points on you on over 60% shooting in the last two games, while you've scored 20 on 40%. Would you say he's outplaying you?"

Hey all. Longtime reader, first time poster.

I was at Oracle Arena last night, and thought I'd report some of my observations. My friend and I wore our Clips gear, and received plenty of jeers and boos, and a few welcome handshakes too. All to be expected. I counted maybe 15 red shirts in the crowd...

However, a few unexpected findings:

-Fans around us were calling for Warriors players to "take out" Clippers, rather than "just foul." Pretty nasty. TONS of Blake haters calling for him to be taken out, and then turning around and calling him a flopper when he's flagrant fouled. The flopper talk never ceased.

-The arena definitely gets loud, but part of that is their sound system is cranked. Not to take anything away from the fans. They're enthusiastic and cheer loud even when down double digits. I could tell the fans weren't confident from the get go, though.

-During the 4th quarter there was a timeout in which the cheerleaders danced with basketballs. One of the girls lost her ball and accidentally took the game ball with her when she left. It took her a good minute to come back with it, and ref #41 hadn't even noticed it was gone til she gave it to him. He looked at the ball, bounced it a few times, and then went on like it hadn't happened. No big deal, and I'm sure it was all kosher, but it just seemed... unorthodox.

-Some fans were belligerent after. Veiled threats about leaving the arena, and so on. Other fans were cool. We were respectful towards them, and they were towards us for the most part.

A bit scary, honestly, but I was glad to experience the other side.

GO CLIPS!!

Thanks for the inside perspective man! I read somewhere that OKC and GS actually have sound systems that play "crowd ambience", is this true? Also, I've been digging around here and there on GS forums and while there's always a vocal minority that gives the rest of the fanbase a bad image, it seemed like everything that came out of their mouths' were extremely hostile. Too much hypocrisy over there.

Its clear the only way the Warriors can beat Clips is if the refs take Blake out of the game. David Lee is getting trashed, Bogut ain't coming to save the day, and your shooters forgot how to shoot. Most likely the league will instruct refs to try to screw us in next game but even that probably won't be enough. You lose by 40 and then lose again at home where you're supposedly unbeatable, you start to realize the only reason this isn't going to be a sweep is because Blake played 19mins in the first game.

These Warriors Fan's Tickle me Pink, Their level of Crying simply amazes me, almost as much as their Lack of Basketball IQ. Gotta love them. So great seeing CP3 out shoot Curry from three, and watching J.J Torch the Warriors from deep, I don't know about you but I think Marcy Marc needs to re-evaluate that best shooting back court, J.J. and CP3 look head and shoulders above the Splash Sisters.

You're in Oakland, of course they are going to threaten you. As a Raider fan I seen too much of it for no reason but the fact they we are in Oakland and have to maintain our tough attitude. I am actually shocked you weren't beat upon. The NBA is the last sport where there isn't brutal fighting by fan,but he Dud fans sure want to bring it to the streets.

But soon the Duds will be moving back to San Francisco and are actually looking to change their names and asking for input.

My choices are:

A. The Crybabies

or

B. the Wah-wahs

It makes me seriously sad that there are fans out there that take basketball so seriously as to start a fight. Or those fans calling for Clippers players to be hurt. How depressing does your life have to be to wish serious bodily harm on somebody or to start a brawl over the outcome of a game?

Actually Ron on further review, in the preliminary (1st) round it shows (considering win and site order) historically that the higher seed (us) has a .875% of winning the series (see Leading LWW @HHV).

If you take all 3 scenarios and add up the percentages (and divide by the 3) we still end up with .865% chance of winning this series. But, however you look at it, it sure is nice to have the odds heavily in our favor. And yes GSW fans you still have a chance, LOL.

Now if you do the same for the 4th game probabilities, we have a 50% of winning game 4. Go Clips.

I was at the game, and in my section no one was promoting hurting Griffin; however, there were a few fans chanting expletives at the officials. In all seriousness, I have a daughter who plays sports and I had to explain to her that the officials should be respected and fans should not be cursing, especially when children are present. But getting back to Griffin, I will say this. I was really glad that Green gave him a hard foul and sent him a message, because quite frankly I was tired of seeing David Lee get @$$ raped by him. Green put a stop to that in the fourth quarter, and I suspect Griffin is going to get know him up close for the remainder of the series.

Regarding the atmosphere, the Warriors do nothing to amplify crowd noise, but the Oracle experience is very entertaining with a DJ who spins, an emcee with several assistants, fireworks, music, and a tone of crowd involvement. My 12 year old loves the experience. The fans make the crowd noise themselves.

I did not see a single Clipper fan in gear while there. For the most part, Warriors fans are chill. But they are passionate about the Warriors so anyone wearing Clippers gear to a playoff game should not expect a warm welcome.

Maybe its because I'm a little older, but I was a little surprised by how pissed off fans were after the game. Usually, they leave the building in good spirits win or lose because they had fun. That's how I felt. But clearly there were many who were dour, even agitated. I'm sorry to hear that some of them were hostile to you and you didn't feel safe.

Since Lacob and Guber bought the team, the experience has become top notch. Guber, as you may know, is an LA guy and minority share holder of the Dodgers, and he has a big hand in that part of the operation.

Warriors!

Wouldn't be shocked if GS pumped in crowd noise. Everything else about that franchise is fake, from the "diehard fanbase" that chants "MVP" for Kobe at Warriors home games, to Jackass' image as a Godly man, to Stephanie and Green's flops. Why would the crowd noise be any different?

I love people that think resorting to violence is "sending a message", almost like it's a good thing. If any message was sent from Draymond it was "I can't guard you straight up Blake, we're outmatched, I'm angry, so I'm gonna hit you when you're not looking". If that isn't childlike behavior, don't know what is.

that's good to hear that respect is being established for your daughter rather than finding influence from sports figures. Hopefully it's not to the point like that commercial where the kid says "I touched the ball coach." haha, still gotta play the sport. On your fan base being agitated, I think understandable they came out agitated: it's the playoffs and it's against our Clips. It's a rivalry and a sense dislike for one another. Fan to fan hostility can be dangerous, coupled with threats can be a nightmare.

Couldn't agree more. The MVP for Kobe is a complete joke. Yeah Stephanie and Green are clearly floppers. Any unbias person can see that. That's why their fan base is foolish for chanting floppers. Complete ignorant hypocrites.

Hard fouls are part of the game. He did not undercut Griffin, but he did stop him for scoring, something Lee was not able to do. No easy baskets. Griffin took it like a man. You should too.

I'm 100% sure that dirty Green will be starting the next game. Oneal will be back to the bench.

Yeah, that's stupid. Flagrant fouls are never a good thing. Sending messages should be sent by schooling someone or winning on the basketball court. Doing that would send a message and shut someone up.

Alright, so if one of our players gives a hard flagrant foul on Green or Curry, or any of your players, you would be okay with it and wouldn't complain or boo? If that's the case, I'll give you that. At least you are consistent.

Steve Javie was on Sports Center and they asked him, as a former NBA ref, to comment on that last play. He said that it wasn't enough contact to justify a foul especially for the last play of the game. Also, he said that Curry flopped on the previous 3 pointer he made so the refs were cautious about that in advance of this play. So my question is, when is Curry gonna get a flopping warning for his multiple flop attempts in Game 3?

So immediately after that flagrant foul, the crowd in Oakland chanted "Flopper". Is that what a Griffin flop looks like? Someone hammers him in the face and he gets a whistle. Would it be preferable if Griffin just get hit and have no foul called? Personally, I'm a Lakers fan who is a Clippers fan because....

As stated earlier, it's an eye for an eye there. Paul was fouled by green in a turn of events that could of won us game 1. No use crying over spilt milk here.

I also have not seen the NBA turn over the call and say it was indeed a foul at all........

Rick is a sore loser, a hypocrite, or both. Here are his words after game 1, when the Clippers should have had a foul called for them:

RickBlaine wrote:

At the end of the game, the refs are going to let the players decide the game.

Aside from the meaningless desperation comeback at the end, this game went pretty much as I predicted. The Clippers withstood an early run by GSW and took the lead late in the 1st, never to again give it up. WIRE TO WIRE. I didn't count on Blake missing so many FTs or else it would have been a blowout earlier and no comeback would've happened as both teams went to their benches. Whatever.

I knew Mark Jackson was an awful coach but it was hilarious to see that he didn't even adjust has game 2 plan until the smallball very late in the 4th. I suspect they'll try this approach for game 4 but everyone knows it won't work because it requires way too much energy to sustain for an entire game and GSW has no depth.

Hilarious. The San Francisco Bay Area world class, and it is second to none. Most pay a premium to live here. You make it sound as if this is Arkansas. I'm not going to bash LA because I like it there, but I am certainly not jealous. But if you want to expound your provincial ignorance, go ahead.

You may also characterize your Clippers as a Kia. How comically fitting. You said it, not me. But as far as the Warriors go, they are our Benz. We love our team, and though there have not been a lot of Championships (but still one more than the Clippers) we feel a strong connection and loyalty to the team in much the same way, I suppose, as Red Sox or Cubs fans. And when the Warriors do win a championship, which I suspect they will now that Joe Lacob and Peter Guber are the owners, it will be sweet because he haven't jumped on any bandwagons.
