Is the Oracle the loudest stadium in NBA? I read some article about it and it said the players can barely hear anything.

What I find amusing about this post and so many others of its kind is that it infers that the Clippers are better than the Warriors, when in fact the teams have played evenly this season and if you take into account the past two seasons, the Warriors have gotten the better of them. Though I certainly respect the talent on the Clippers, I think that the pervasive dismissal of the Warriors on this board reflects arrogance and ignorance. CP3Best mentioned the word hubris. Good word choice. It's origins are Greek. The ancient Greeks believed that the Gods frowned upon arrogance and punished it. Keep that in mind as you continue to arrogantly dismiss the Warriors.

Lucky for you, the Clippers players and coaching staff respect the Warriors. They don't like them, but they respect them. That's why things have gotten so chippy.

Sigh. I'm going to have to use the ignore button. Thank goodness there's that option.

It's ridiculous that continuous garbage gets posted by disrespectful Warriors' fans on this Clippers' forum.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Clippers win tonight!

That is true. You can't hear yourself yelling in the Oracle in the playoffs. Its a really fun atmosphere. Tonight I am bringing my daughter who became a Warriors fan this year. This will be her first experience, and I am excited for her to experience it.

Repped High Quality Post

So classical drama is the trolling theme of the day, today?

Oh, good... Yesterday's "woe is me, I've lost my kangaroo" bellyaching was so tedious.

Well, here's my contribution. Picture this...

Second son of one of the four titans of athletic achievement - Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston - forced from the table for decades so that the first born may eat copiously to become even bigger and stronger... free agents, broadcasting deals, media exposure... all gobbled up by big brother. The younger sibling had always fought admirably, but the strength to overcome his oppressor simply wasn't there.

Until one day, the bloated arrogance of the elder champion led him to lose his grip of dominance over the bounty, and the inexperienced adolescent was able to procure some sustenance in the form of Chris Paul, point god.

This deceptively undersized morsel of exceptional nourishment, combined with the indomitable heart of a griffin - bestowed upon the junior usurper by the basketball gods - was enough for him to rise up against the first born, to humiliate him for all the world to see, and to claim his right to be called the family's champion in battle.

Then came the scrawny cousin from the North. The unfamiliarity of the young warrior with his new position led to him being caught off guard momentarily, but soon he delivered a crushing blow that had been building up inside him for every day of his existence... and sent the brazen little scamp fleeing for home.

Now, the day has arrived when the second son will migrate from the safe confines and green pastures of home, into the bandit-ridden northern territory, to hunt down and destroy the false prophet who tries to take from him that which is his birthright.

Let battle commence.

Bravo, Cleepers! Very entertaining. But time to get Biblical.

Don't underestimate the scrawny cousin from the North. Because that little handsome sheep herder is going to knock down you Philistines from the South on your @$$es tonight in one motion of his sling. And you won't be able to get back up. Make way for the king!

Only reason tiny Philistia was dominating Israel and always beating them was because of advanced war equipment, Israel was known for the best sling shooters, Could hit a hair of a headt as the good book says. SO Philistia? probably not a good analogy bro, get your facts straight then talk. roll

Steph Curry is a good player, I would say great but I like guys that play both sides of the ball. Until Curry can cover great guards as well as score on them he won't ever surpass CP in my opinion. David Lee would be a great bench player for us. Jermaine was great in his day. Iggy is one of my favorite players and he was a borderline star in Philly ;and now he's a glorified role player, a great one, but still a role player. I loved Bogut before Jackson got a hold of him, that's why I knew he had a flopping history; but the injury history is to evident to say anything other than that he is fragile. Klay is still growing, so I won't say anything other than it's still undetermined on who he is or will be in the league. The same can be said for Barnes who I a have been a fan of before he got to Goldenstate, and think will be wasted playing for Jackson and behind Iggy.

Lack of respect is towards your ideas of how the upset will come not the team. I also have lack of respect towards your hypocritical coach and the ideas he pushes off on the team. Concentrating on things other than playing basketball are nothing more than gimmicks (they're floppers please call fouls, we have the greatest fans play hard for them). He might as well say we can't beat them without something that comes from outside the realm of basketball. If you guys had a coach that can concentrate on basketball rather than crap maybe I'd be worried. You have the talent to be a sleeper, but without the direction it's all a bunch of hidden potential.

Hmm... Your metaphor kind of lost any semblance of legitimacy when you painted the Clippers as Goliath.

Two previously hapless franchises competing to fill a power vacuum created by the downfall of a former king hardly qualifies as a David and Goliath fable.

We enter this battle as equals. But as the old idiom goes... some are more equal than others.

The reality is a healthy Clipper team is stacked

with firepower that most teams just can't match.

Not even talking about the starters,

Look at our bench

1-5 have averaged at least 13 ppg at some point

in their career.

3 of those guys Jamal, Granger, and Turk have averaged

at least 20 ppg at some point in their career.

Not saying all of those guys are still playing at their peak,

but these guys can flat out score and if they are clicking

there isn't a bench in the league IMO that can match

them.

I think that was what we saw in Game 2. The bench

knocked the rust off and played to their potential.

We clippers fans know that our bench has not played

together all season due to injury. This is the first point

in the season that everyone is healthy.

It's got to be scary for opposing teams.

I think your assessment is close, though its a glass-half-empty view. The post season is a lot different than the regular season. Last season that Warriors only won 47 games, but were the only team in the West to lay a loss on the Spurs. The Spurs swept every team but the Warriors. The Warriors looked very strong in the playoffs because they played great defense, rebounded well, and we able to offer a balanced attack on offense. The personnel on this team is better that last seasons. That is why I had very high expectations going into this season. If the Warriors can put it together like they did in the last playoffs, they can win this series. I don't know if Bogut can play with a broken rib, but if it is safe to do, he must find a way to get out there. They really need him.

I still like last year's Warriors team better. Landry adds a lot more than Speights, and Jack in a lot of ways was your go-to guy. In both series with the Nuggets and Spurs, Warriors would build a sizeable lead, then watch it dwindle away as turnovers and bad shot selection took over. Jack salvaged a few of those games all by himself. You guys need more veteran leadership. I don't know if that's what they thought they were getting with Iguodala, but he's not that kind of player. He likes being the 3rd or 4th banana.

This year's team won more games in the regular season against a tougher Western Conference. However, Warriors fans don't feel that they have put it all together. There has been a lot of frustration with Jackson, though he also has his supporters.

Landry was great, and he is missed. But Iguodala is a better player. Landry missed the season anyway so it's moot. Jack was a great clutch scorer, a fearless competitor, and a great spirit on the team. But he frustrated fans with this hero ball tactics too. Overall the roster is better. Unfortunately, Iguodala had a bad hamstring injury and recently a knee injury. He was great before those injuries. Hopefully he's back to full health now. The Warriors have a lot of nice pieces, and a front office that is sharp and nimble. Lacob is a great owner, and he has turned this organization around in three short years. Meyers has been very deft in his dealings. And the Logo is the Logo. Joe Lacob, who was a minority with the Celtics when they won their last Championship, brings an excellent business model to the organization. He is an active owner, and puts himself up to risk, and I really like that. This team is now on a firm foundation and Lacob is singularly minded about bringing a championship to the Bay.

Tonight the Warriors will make adjustments and come out with the focus and intensity. I like what I have heard from the players and Jackson in interviews today and yesterday, and though things are a little dour in Warriorsworld right now, I think the mood changes after tonight. But that's the playoffs where each game is its own chapter in a series of stories.

Looking forward to a great game, and I my daughter and I will come home hoarse. Those are marching orders from Dad.

Warriors!

Clipperman#5,

I have already explained in detail why I am here, and I don't want to bore everyone else with yet another explanation. I am gainfully employed, but I am on vacation this week, and I am enjoying spending some of my R&R with you fine people. If you are afraid to have your bubble popped by a Warriors fan and you don't enjoy my prose, please feel free to ignore me as other have. And if you are going to question my intellect, I suggest you first proofread your posts before hitting the submit button.

Tell you what. As a peace offering, I'll have a beer for your at the game tonight. I'll try my best not to spill it on Griffin.

Warriors!

Curry is one of the classiest guys in the league, and he operates out of respect in all that he does. Just a fine young man. So for him to show up the refs like that was important in terms of demanding respect from the officials and leading his teammates emotionally. That will carry over. Great move by Curry.

I decided a few hours ago to get off the Rick Blaine top buzz board for the day because I am actually getting bored with it,but this one is hilarious. Throwing a mouth piece is a way to gain respect. If Blake would have thrown a mouth piece it would be "what a cry baby" but Stephanie does it and it's a show of force. Heck, he should have thrown the scorers table, then you guys would automatically have been given the series and this would be done.

You can see by the pregame discussions by both the GSW players and their fans how the two teams are different. Everything that comes out of their mouths is about non-basketball stuff, like the Oracle crowd, or how Curry is fired up, or how they have to get in our heads. Meanwhile, on the Clipper side it's about how we'll trap Curry, or feed Blake until they adjust. I can't say I blame GSW because they really are hopelessly overmatched and they are just following the lead of their brilliant coach and resorting to prayer as a legitimate strategy.

The biggest difference between Curry and Paul is that Curry can't guard a garbage can while Paul always takes tough defensive assignments. He even matches up against guys like Klay Thompson and locks them down. Every Time Klay tried to post up a much smaller Paul he got owned.

I predict they'll be going nuts in the beginning of course, and with that, Golden State will have a decent first quarter lead. Our players will calm down and make it manageable by halftime.

I put almost no weight into 1st half basketball in general, this game will be won in 3rd quarter.

He was a partial participant in Wednesday's practice and seems to have avoided any serious damage after tweaking his hamstring in the Clippers' Game 1 defeat, which they avenged with a blowout victory on Monday. Jamal Crawford (calf) is also ready to play, so the Clippers will take the court for Game 3 at full strength. Apr 24 - 2:53 PM
