Alright people, believe it or not, it's 9AM and the CLIPPERS are playing!!

In the 1st quarter right now, and I am just baffled with Chris Kaman !!!!

1-7 fg !!!! This guy is 1-3 ft from the rim, 3 offensive boards!

Looks like we need CAT to save us from the perimeter.

But put a body on Barngani, and stop the transition game.

I was thinking the exact same thing about KAMAN. Why cant he attack the hoop? I say we get Baby SHAQ in here soon!!! Just in case Kaman doesnt get better. Cuz if baby Shaq turns out to be more of an offensive force than Kaman, we can always trade Chris for something decent.

Chris needs to develop something like a hook shot or a simple Dunk that will increase his shooting %. Cuz if he cant make the inside stuff like Brand does, we have to rely on outside shooting and jump shooting. And we all know we arent the strongest in those areas. Toronto definitely is.

Added note: If Kaman can develop a quick hook shoot, he would be unstoppable. Feed him and he quickly hooks it in. Good chance of getting fouled too. If it works, he can kick it out as well. I dunno, just thinking, wont do any good cuz I dont coach the Kaveman.

Clippers allowed 36 pts in the 1st quarter !!!! DAMN

There perimeter shooting is KILLING us

But BRAND is still making a point that HE BELONGS in the ALL STAR game.

Down by 7, but we are fighting. Make it 9 Sad

We are out rebounding them, but we are getting sucked into Toroto's game

We are gaining momentum. Only down by 10 now and things are going our way now. Cassell is an animal. We need him to be HUGE in the 4th. If we can start the final quarter with a bang, this game can be ours!!

How come CAT doesn't shoot the 3 more often???

KAMAN is just falling off the map!!!!

Clippers NEED to defend the 3 better. That's all Toronto is shooting

Games pretty much over now, Clippers down by 14 with 3:00 to play.

We were so close, but so far. We didn't defend the perimeter shots,

Brand disappeared AGAIN in the 4th quarter (1 point)

Kaman was 1-11 ARE YOU KIDDING ME !

Maggette 2-10

RAPTORS 12-20 from 3 point land......

Raptors 122

Clippers 110

Damn it

It's over today. Its very hard to make a comeback win on the road. I dont think the Clips played bad except for Kaman's horrendous shooting, but the Raptors are just playing great and it showed tonight. 3 Pointers galore. Credit Toronto's strong team play for this win. Everyone contributes for them.

Tought night for Maggette. at least he could have missed the 2nd free-throw attempt instead of the 1st. We'd have a chance to rebound then.

I'm alright with this loss. We played a red hot team who hardly missed a three. We can definitely beat the Knicks next game.

Can we bench Kaman though?? It may be a needed move, but I dunno who's gonna start in his place??

Tough game today. The Clippers played pretty well but the Raptors were just on fire, especially in the first half. Kaman just had a terrrible shooting day. He had good looks but just couldn't knock them down...and he got tapped on a few of them; they rolled around the rim but just wouldn't go in for him today. This was the first time in 7 games that he got at least 10 shot attempts and I wished he would have taken advantage but everyone has a rough game shooting every once in a while. If you look at Chris' game log this season, he usually plays well when he gets about 10 shots a game and plays poorly when he only gets 5 or less shots. He also does better against a traditional center...one that posts up rather than shoots outside. I look for him to come back with a good game against Eddie Curry and the Knicks.

In a game like today, Dumbleavy should have went to a guy like Singleton. This has been preached by all of us this season, but today's game would have been a perfect place to play him. A team like Toronto has their big guys roaming around outside and James has a lot more athletic ability than Kaman. He would have had no problem with Toronto's big guys. And the way Toronto was giving up the offensive rebounds in the first half, James would have had a field day out there. Of course, Dumbleavy lacks enough sense to see the obvious and Singleton sat on the bench the whole game. I'm soooooo glad we got such a great coach locked up for the next 5 years!

Livingston's scoring was nice...but zero assists in 28 minutes? There's a good article in ESPN the Magazine (and it's on the ESPN website also) about Livingston and how the Clippers are waiting on him to lead their team. Here's the link if anyone wants to take a look.

Hey Benoit, thanks for the link. Great article.

We have two spots that need to get better. PG and C. We're waiting on two lottery picks that are behind expectations. Everything else is going as planned. We get the same thing every night from our PF. We get enough from our SG and SF positions. Like that article said, Cassell got slower while the league got faster.

Elgin Baylor and Donald Sterling made one big mistake: Extending Kaman. Rule #1, you dont give big extensions to players that havent consistently proven themselves.

Good thing is, both Kaman and Livingston have room to grow. Bad thing, they need to hurry up or it wont help the Clippers at all. Maybe it's lack of confidence for both these players.

Yeah when a team is just feeling it like the Raptors were today I don't think anybody else could've beaten them. They put up an amazing outside shooting display and played in a style similar to the Suns. If they keep playing like that they're going to be really scary.

The Clippers played pretty well overall- they hit a ton of 3's, committed only 10 turnovers, and they out-rebounded Toronto by 5. Brand was terrific again, and so were Mobley and Thomas. Cat & Tim and Sam combined for 11 out of 20 from deep- that's pretty darn good. Hope they keep their hot hands warm up there Wink.

But yeah Kaman had a really tough game. He was 1 for 11- if he had made a couple more buckets (and the team as a whole made a couple more free throws) the game might've had a different outcome. A lot of his shots went into the basket and spun out, so that was bad luck, but he had zero free throw attempts which meant that he didn't try to finish strong. He played like he just got out of bed or something (his hair sure looked like it)- simply not sharp. I'm not sure if it's time to bench him but something different might need to be done about his pre-game preparation.

Livingston had a nice game shooting but had a tough time attempting to guard Calderon and Ford. He did do a better job late against TJ.

A huge game now against the Knicks on Tuesday- those guys are playing pretty well so it won't be easy but the Clippers can and must prevail.

If Chris has a decent game tomorrow, I will get off his back. But if not, then maybe Dumbleavy needs to light a fire under Chris by starting Paul Davis or even Singleton.

He just looks lost out there.

But yeah, tough game. With the way we played, and if Toronto wasn't so hot, we could have took that game. Oh well

We are still above .500, and still in a playoff spot. Lets keep climbing.

Talk to you guys after the Super Bowl.

They are playing his best basketball of the season and it was difficult to steal a W in his own home...Anyways I think we could have got the W if 2 of our main pieces like Kaveman and Gette had played better...Gette is excused because he's always putting big numbers but Kaveman is dissapointing me game after game...What an awful shooting performance!!!If I were Dumbleavy I would bench him a couple of games until he realizes that he's earning many $ for his basketball, not for his haircut or something else...Kaman:just play basketball!!

Ei!On the other hand watching the stats I guess that my countrymates have killed us...Since Calderon has played as starting PG the Raps are playing his best basketball and they are winning.Calderon to the Sophomore team!!!!Are you looking for defense?for sacrifice?for leadership?for a guy who could involve his teammates?Calderon is da men!!

Yes I am very impressed with both of your spaniards (Calderon and Garbajosa). And also Barganni from Italy.

...Just read an article on FoxSports.com about Jared Dudley of Boston College. I've liked this guy for a while and now he's getting a lot of praise and putting up spectacular numbers in all categories in his senior year. If we get the chance to draft him, we best do it and put an end to our 1st-round "potential-loaded" picks and get a guy who leads his team, does what it takes to win and brings an overall strong game.
