Dan Woike @DanWoikeSports now

Wow. Well this is a heartbreaking day. Trial to resume late July. Meaning it will surpass deadline of NBA to vote Sterling out. Meaning if Sterling somehow wins the case, this could drag on till October or later. Blecher purposely scheduled vacation to drag this on IMO.

Edit: Wait does Ballmer's bid expire the 15th? If so... Donald detonated his bid. Meaning he's not the owner :'(. NBA will have to take team and do bidding.

The team and 2 billion dollars are at stake. How is the judge allowing a vacation to halt these proceedings? I think the league and ballmer will grant an extension. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Pretty weird in this high profile case one of the Don's attorneys has a scheduled vacation all of a sudden.

Don won. D I **head.

If the season rolls around and sterling is still the owner it's up to the fans to make a statement by not watching or going to games. The sponsors will cease support as well. I think the players will too. Enough is enough. He can have his shell of a team. Nothing will change unless the supporters of the team demand change

Jack Wang ‏@thejackwang 25s

Judge wants to set closing arguments for June 25 at 1:30 pm. But Gary Ruttenberg says he's flying to Santa Fe for wife's anniversary.

Son of a bit** mother fu**ing scum. Intentionally trying to delay. If the judge allows this I'm going to explode.

It's being reported that it's conditional, not guaranteed. Nonetheless why should any Clippers fans chill? We are all being held at the mercy of this POS a**hole. He knows in the end he will be stripped of the team, yet insists on being a cancer and causing self professed damage on the way out. Why the fu** should the fans or the league.. or Ballmer have to wait 20 more days for this to resume because the lawyers all conveniently happen to have vacations during the time of the trial? So you mean to tell me Donald's top two lawyers just both happen to have vacations with their wives planned in back to back weeks? Scum.

I don't have ST's... but have already said I will not watch another game while Donald is owner. If he somehow wins this war and retains ownership, I turn in my fan card after 15+ years. No exceptions, this isn't out of anger but something I've thought about a lot.

Lets see,if I were a crook and on trial, would I be able to stop the trial for 2 weeks because I had a vacation planned, one I forgot to tell anyone about?

We will not be alone. I expect half of our team to leave with us. We can follow whatever team BG32 or CP3 end up on.

Exactly. Although I don't think I have it in me to start over with another team, I may follow Blake.

But you (we) all know what will really happen,Don will win but the NBA will seize the team and put it up for sale in Sept. and Don will lose more money when he sues himself. BUT for me,if anyone important leaves,so do I. I would follow Blake because we have seen him grow up.

I'm not a season ticket holder I don't have to make that choice. I do think it will be resolved but if it isn't, I'm not watching anything clippers related until he's gone. I pay out of pocket for soooo many games and I'm not going to do that until he's out.

Yea. Blake is the pride and joy of the Clippers. Born and raised with us. Will likely be a career Clipper/first jersey retired/first hall of famer for the team assuming Sterling is ousted. I agree the likely outcome is Donald wins this case, NBA votes him out in September and starts the bidding process. Which angers me! It means the completion of sale will run right up to around the time the season starts. Is it too much that us fans wanted closure much earlier than that so we can have peace of mind for the future?

Which brings to mind the question I had earlier, when can NBA players ask for the contracts to be voided?

Don't think they can? I think it's binding. NBA may make an exception and help players out, but I think it would only occur if this dragged on well into the season and players were striking/refusing to play.

We have no choice in the matter. This isn't about us. Everything is still running smooth in Clipperland.

I disagree. I think the biggest victims in all of this is Clippers fans. They continue to support a team financially without any assurance of the future of ANY kind. Nobody knows what the hell is going to happen. I think it's unfair to the fans most importantly, followed by Ballmer who made a legitimate offer and was as excited as anyone I've seen buying a team.

Now if they want. There is nothing in the CBA about a situation like this so Silver would have to walk a tightrope on this one. Not sure Silver or the Players Association want to fight this one out either. Better chance that the NBA takes ownership and auctions off the team than open up that can of worms.

Not sure where you're getting that idea. Donald's lawyers have already cross-examined all three relevant parties - Shelly and the two doctors - and no bombshells were dropped. They're just trying to string this whole thing out. It's annoying, but there's been nothing at all to suggest that Shelly didn't follow the terms of the trust in declaring Donald cuckoo and seizing control... That - and ONLY that - is what this trial is about.

I'm not a victim in this. I knew this would be a process without a timetable. I also know there are more options for the NBA to end this than there are options for DTS to keep the team. DTS isn't running the team, DTS isn't signing off on any decisions, and DTS hasn't set foot in any Clippers facility. All he has are ownership papers that mean nothing. I'm still watching the Clippers cause I know what's at the end of the tunnel.

Yup. Best if the NBA and the players' union keeps quiet until the verdict of the Sterling vs. Sterling trial comes down. If Donald wins, THEN the NBAPA can make a big stink about striking, giving the league a cast-iron argument that Donald's continued presence as an owner is detrimental to the association.

Knowing Sterling, we all should of known he would fight with every ounce of strength he has till the end, but it's a painful process. He's banned, but it's still a dark cloud hanging over the team.

Repped High Quality Post

Funny thing is, next week we can all show up in Vegas to watch a summer-league game if we want. Donald can't. We can all go down to the Playa Vista parking lot during training camp to get our merchandise signed. Donald can't.

Right now, it's more our team than his, yet he's fighting like a cornered cat to be a part of the Clippers and people on here are talking about following other teams.

F*ck that. Clippers all the way!

One thing distinguish is the fact that after years of Donald sterling (in my case since 2001) you begin t develop a sense of pessimism and fear of the worst. From a factual standpoint you are correct but the long time fan in me has a deep seeded fear this is only the beginning. My worst fear is DTS dragging this on until his last breath, again not fears from logic just after years of DTS you almost feel as if there is no getting rid of him.

I would rep this if I could. Donald is going to lose this trial, and everything is going to turn out okay in the end.

Similar to my case. If for some reason DTS retains this team I will not follow any team. I'll just watch games from time to time but I just wouldn't have it in me to continue with another team or go through more years with Sterling. I hope that isn't the case because the Clippers are a huge part of my life. I can't think of many things that have lasted 13 years with me in my life.

how are the clippers 7th in attendance in the nba? and how is chicago dallas and new york the top 3??

I thought the clips were more exciting to catch than those three??

what is going on??

Donald's lawyers are pathetic. It's clear that they prepared absolutely nothing but delay tactics and distractions, mainly because they have no actual arguments in their favor. Plus the judge absolutely hates both them and Donald himself. Don't really see how DTS wins this.

My guess would be,we are not the Fakers. Most of the LA Faker fans would rather watch their team no matter how crappy they are then to bow down and watch,or admit at least they are watching, LA's best team. Although since we sell out every game and have for a coupe of years you'd think we would be higher.

We also have the second highest sell-out streak in the league last I heard it mention during the past season (correct me if I'm wrong).

Maybe they have more capacity in their buildings? maybe its not just over the last two years, it could be over the last 5 years or something.

What's ironic is that in his years of owning the team,he has always refused to spend money to win. Now that he is losing the team,it appears that money is no object in pursuit of a win. This guy is just unbelievable!

I don't think you are wrong at all. I know 3 years ago all the ST were sold out and remained so. If anyone left , someone jumped in their grave right away. I know we also helped sell out a lot of other arenas.

Don't need to have it if Shelly went the right way about calling him a nutcase. If she didn't and he wins, the vote will come shortly thereafter.

Hopefully the Sterlings will sell.

After all buysing at 12M and going up to 2B is a hell of return

on investment.

And the Clippers get a big sugar daddy with loads of money.

sick and tired of these owners...

then should allow the city of los angeles to buy the clippers..

lets start a petition to let cities own nba franchises...

that way ...if the city of los angeles buys the clippers..

there would be no other team named los angeles in the nba..

they can do the same for the other sports
